Had a bacon cheeseburger last week, it was very good. So were the fries and onion rings. I love that they have an upstairs seating area too. Short but sweet, thats all you need to know. If you like greasy hamburgers, come get one (or two) here, they are good.

What a perfect Texas landmark small business! I had the chalupa burger and chilli cheese fries and both were A grade. The burger was perfectly seasoned, not overly greasy, and didn't fall apart. The fries were homemade and a very generous portion. Both were served up with a hearty helping of endearing southern hospitality! I'll definitely be returning to this fine establishment.

I finally decided to go to this place with a friend to try it out so I could see what they had to offer but also to help add reviews for the company. I looked on the menu beforehand and was set on getting the Guacamole Burger. But then my friend decided to get that so I made a last minute decision to get the Chili-cheese Burger to try and diversify our orders.
As usual - when it came time to ordering, I asked the cashier what the most popular burgers were. She said the Guacamole and Bacon Cheeseburger. As usual - I didn't listen and got what sounded appealing to me at the time - the Chili-cheese Burger! For both burgers, the patty itself was thin and was lost in both especially with all the veggies and sauces. By the last 2 bites or so, all I had was lettuce and bread. Both burgers are pretty big so you get your bang for your buck when it comes to quantity. Here's how I break it down:
Chili-Cheeseburger - 3/5. The chili alone tasted like your everyday canned chili. Not that it was bad, but I wanted chucks of ground beef that give chilli its thick, hearty, and savory appeal. Also, it didn't seem like fresh chili made from scratch.
Guacamole Burger - 2/5. This burger was very one-dimensional for me. I was expecting a ton of flavor and richness from the guacamole itself, but it just wasn't there. For some reason, the guacamole was bland and didn't taste fresh either, it seemed like it was used as a sauce for the burger rather than a topping.
Onion rings - 4/5. The onion rings here are tasty! There's a mild kick from the batter which gives it a good flavor. The pieces of onion rings are huge and the onion to batter ratio is just right to where the onion is still the prominent flavor. Crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked golden brown are reasons the onion rings were a hit for me.
Fries - 2/5. The fries were crunch and warm. The skin left on the fries added a grainy texture. I felt it was a little dry so its good that they had plenty of ketchup. Fries comes in a generous portion for a very affordable price.
Hit or miss? I'd say somewhere in between. A great place to go to with a big group looking to have a casual dinner or lunch. Offers outdoor, indoor, and upstairs seating along with a friendly staff. -

I have been spending a lot of time medical center lately and I was running out of good lunch options. I was hungry for a hamburger so I jumped on yelp to help my search. Saw 2 4 star reviews and thought what the heck I will give it a try.
Upon walking in the aroma of grease seemed perfect for a good burger, fries and onion rings. To bad the great smell did not translate into a better burger experience. The burger was good but not great...I would say an average burger with no originality. The fries are house cut and they were the best part of the meal. Perfect taste and texture.
If you are in the neighborhood it is a nice spot but don't make the trip across town -

Mmmmm... pardon my french, but this place is fuckin delicous! Their burgers are so juicy and meaty. Not like all the soy filler crap they put it fast food. I love their chili cheese burger. And their fries are home made which is always a plus. Nom nom!

Really? No reviews? Well, allow me.
This was always my favorite burger place in San Antonio. The best onion rings I can think of off the top of my head, too. I love their buttery poppyseed buns, good-sized patties, fresh toppings, and that good, old-fashioned taste.
They always seemed to have up a "Now Hiring" sign whenever I would drive by, but the place was almost always empty. Apparently it must be a pretty well-kept secret if even Yelp isn't in on it!! (I assume it's still there?) Yum...I just may have to check it out for myself when I'm home for the holidays. -

My aunts and uncles usually go here for the burgers. The burgers are usually juicy and quite too, but definitely a Cholesterol killer, but then in Texas everything is a cholesterol killer =) But I like to pig out on these burgers, they are huge and you can see the grease coming down. I get the guacamole burger it is so good yum yum yum yum.

Great cheeseburger, awsome fries and awesome onion rings. The burgers use to be better with poppyseed buns but still pretty great!
