Meat, meat, and more meat!
yes, it's pricey, but you can easily get your money's worth if you come with an empty stomach and a big appetite. all the meats were delicious (except for the lamb. maybe I'm just not used to the texture / flavor of lamb), and I couldn't get enough of the bacon-wrapped filet.
i really can't describe it, just that you have to experience it for yourself, unless you're vegan / vegetarian / cheap. otherwise, any carnivore should at least give this place a shot.
rarely have i ever had a meat coma that didn't make me regret it for days.
plus a great salad bar which also has a yummy lobster bisque!
oh yeah, parking was valet only, but it was complementary so you shouldn't let the fact that the lot is tiny and full scare you away
I went here for a dinner with a bachelorette party, so we had the private room which was very nice.
The service was amazing, very on top of their game. However, I just don't see the appeal of this restaurant. I love meat, but I don't like meat enough to make a meal centered around a piece of steak. Keeping this in mind, I opted for the "salad" bar buffet for a mere 30 bucks. While it was good; they had pasta, salad, sushi, dips, etc. It was so not worth the 30 dollars!
A friend of mine and I split a bottle of red wine, got some of the bachelorettes dinner, and each walked out with a bill for a clean 100 dollars. It could have been cheaper, but I love me some red wine.
Everyone had a good time, but the atmosphere was a bit stuffy for a bachelorette party.
If you like meat, meat, and more meat. You will love this place, but I hear Fogo De Chao (I am sure I misspelled that) is 10 times better than this place for about the same price.
O my goodness. I just got back from dinner and (after I rolled in my house) sat down to relax and finish enjoying what a wonderful experience that was.
Everything has pretty much been said about this place but it's great! I found the meat to be seasoned just perfectly. The lamb is so tender, the best I've ever eaten.
They have the best drinks too! We had the Brazilian cocktail in Passion Fruit and Mango. O MY GOODNESS! It was great. The Brazilian soda is also very tasty.
You also have to sign up for their email list on their website. They send out great discounts and special offers. This is a great place to go on a date or take the family. Kids 6 and under eat free too!
To give you an idea of prices, dinner for 3 with drinks and desert was $150. But OOOO so worth it!
I love this place and we try to go at least once a year for some occasion. I adore the salad bar. As far as the endless meat goes, I don't even waste my time anymore on anything except the filet wrapped in bacon. The wife gets only lamb. We enter hungry and go home very full and very satisfied every time. If you can score a coupon it is even a better deal, although I would pay full price with no reservation.
Very poor value. When you charge $40 per person and the highest quality of meat you serve is sirloin, that is called a rip off. The food quality was good and the salad bar had some nice options as well, but the pricing is just rediculous, especially considering what they paid for the product they are serving.
The food is great.
But for almost $50 bucks a head? I just can't seem to justify that.
Many will argue with me, but Master Grill in Denton, is about half the cost and just as good, except for the salad bar.
Parking IS horrible by the way. And service is so-so.
We have spoiled ourselves over the years by being Fogo fans and Texas de Brazil just doesn't compare across the board.
The meats were overall very salty. There were a few really good meats in the mix, such as the sausage and the house special. The salad bar was good.
The tables were very close together, so close that I could hear other people's conversations. The tables at Wendy's are spread apart more. Our quartet received a few dirty looks from neighboring tables.
The parking was horrible. When the lot is full, they parking lot guys tell you to park across the street in the Pei Wei lot. Um, ok.
The service was nothing special, especially for the cost of dinner.
There is a reason that Texas de Brazil has to send out coupons...they need to give people an incentive to go. I gladly pay full price at Fogo.
Went here for my birthday on Friday and it was a good meal. I've been here before years ago, and while the meal was good it wasn't great. Service was average at best, and the food didn't seem like it had as many cuts of meat as I'm used to at other Brazilian steakhouses. I was disappointed that they didn't have roasted pineapple, which is a good ending to a meaty meal.
I did get to use a gift certificate given to me for my birthday which was a plus. Just sign up for their E-Club mailing list, and they'll email you deals.
Hi Fellow Yelpers!
Okay, so I must give my review on Texas De Brazil in Addison, TX. It was FABULOUS and DELICIOUS! Just like I remembered. The atsmophere was great with a little bit of dim light and excellent service. The wait staff filled your water after one sip and folded your napkin each time you got up from the table. Red Carpet service no doubt!
My Husband took me there as a surprise for my Birthday. He had never experienced this kind of dinning. Much to his surprise, he loved it as well. You must like meat for sure. All kinds of meats come out on a skewer served by the staff and you just peel it right off and on to your plate. There is a huge selection at the salad buffet and endless helpings of mash potatoes and plantains to go with your main entree.
For desert, we had a delightful Pecan Pie that was homemade.
Four stars for this place! You will have to dig deep in your pockets for the night but it is worth it.
Enjoy!

Texas de Brazil is so salty that you'll feel the effects the next morning. Your hands and lips may be swollen, and you'll need 2 weeks to purge the water weight. The food tastes okay if you love salt, and the salad bar selection is off the chain. Unfortunately, the awesome salad bar is a ploy to fill you up before you move onto the more expensive meat products.
Although this restaurant is packed most of the time, but it does not change my opinion about this place. All I can say about this place is "Too Salty!!!" For the price we had to pay, I did not feel that it was worth it. I think maybe because it's all you can eat, they made everything so salty so you eat less and had to drink a lot of water. I have tried this restaurant twice in the last two years, and I am now convinced the food is indeed too salty and really not worth the $$$$$ that we had to pay. Will not eat at this place again.
Excellent food and service.
Better service than FdC up the road and much better location/parking/maneuverability than the Dallas TdB location.
As others have noted, sign up for their eClub email program (free, does require javascript to be turned on).
I'm not a huge meat eater, but when I'm in the mood...this is where I want to go. Definitely sign up for their e-club and try to go on the special events or birthdays, because while it's always a good time, I'm not sure it is worth the full price of almost $50 a person. At least my kid's still free for another year (up to 5 I think).
Boing boing boing...
After eating here, I found, as my friend so eloquently put it: pogo'd on his own ass back to the hotel."
Since I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I thought why not keep in tradition and eat at a Brazilian restaurant? Bad move, cukes, bad move...
Everything here was excellent, service, the quality of the food, the freshness of the salad.
I can probably hibernate now.
And as my instructor said to me: "Don't worry Paulista, I will be waiting for you so we can work off all the food you ate"
Lucky me!! :S
This place is pretty good, but I honestly found the meat to be a little too salty compared to the churrascarias I've been to before--but that's not to say it's awful, because it's still really good, especially the bacon-wrapped pork. The salad bar is purely amazing, and filled with delicious things, and I love the garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas they bring to your table. Simply to die for.
I love Texas de Brazil because of their marketing savvy, on top of their great value. These guys send me birthday coupons, anniversary, special promotions, 25% off cards, etc... They run it like they want me to go there. And I did. With that 25% off card, I bet I ate there once every 10 days for a while. You just can't beat all-you-can-eat steak for 15.00.
Lobster bisque is finding a place in my heart. I love that stuff. The servers recognize me and are very nice and the kids love going there.
I miss the place.. they need more of them in CA. The atmosphere is awesome. There is huge bouquet in the center of the dinning room where the salad bar is located. The meat is great, but don't be shy to turn something away if you want something else. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The salad bar and bbq deal is pricey, but it is a good place to go for special occasions. To me it was worth the price.. I just wish I had more room in my stomach for the plantains.
Meh. Have been a few time now. I just get the salad bar now for 1/2 price b/c honestly the meat isn't that great, and you can stuff yourself w/ the salad bar & soup (which is pretty good). Not my choice if we are going out to eat.
Brazilian churrascaria in Addison, good atmosphere inside and out. Decent service, but something about the salad bar and food just didn't get me as excited as the way Fogo de Chao does. Luckily my friend gets emailed these coupons so it was 50%...I guess if you do like this place, sign up online and they'll hook you up a couple times a year.
