4 reviews for Tewksbury Country Club
I attended a wedding at the Tewksbury Country Club on December 19th. This place is undeniably gorgeous, but I was unimpressed with the set up for the cocktail hour. The wedding was large (about 200 people) and the bar area was squeezed into a corner, with a line basically taking up the entire cocktail hour space.
The meal itself was very good and the servers were friendly and attentive. The ballroom is fantastic with it's wooden walls and beautiful chandelier. I priced out the Tewksbury Country Club for my wedding in October, and in my opinion it was overpriced and did not live up to what I expected it to be, especially considering the high cost.

The course was created from the old muni airport and they did a goo job, it is a little short however (par 33 64.4/112) and it's only 9 nine holes. If they are ever able to add an additional 9 it would be sweet. This public course is one of the best from the maintenance side and the local wildlife is impressive (blue herons for example) don't get me wrong I'm not a tree hugger. Post golf the outside deck overlooks the par 3 ninth hole which makes for interesting conversation. The food is on very good and as mentioned by an earlier Yelper the service impeccable. The only complaint is the TCC is only 9 holes.

The Tew-Mac Tavern is in the back on the 1st floor. We have been here twice - had a fabulous caesar salad here and everything else has always been great. The tavern atmosphere is great; the ceiling is a gorgeous polished brass and there is a cozy fireplace with comfy chairs. A great place for a Sunday lunch or dinner - can picture taking my parents there.
We came here for a graduating class breakfast - I was amazed at the space and the service! I knew that they'd filmed one episode/movie scene from The Sopranos here, so it was pretty cool to be standing in one of the rooms they'd used. Besides the fame factor, the breakfast was pretty good - typical continental fare with your choice of eggs, toast, fruit, etc. Service was impeccable - they accommodated everyone's needs.
