Review from Kerrie M.
I am a HUGE fan of all things Halloween. And I am especially into Halloween decorating both indoors and out. Yes, I am one of those nuts who sets up a graveyard on the front lawn. And I am not ashamed to admit it!! So, when our tour shuttle passed down Polk street, and I spotted this store, my eyes lit up like saucers and I could not wait to drop by! It was a Halloween lovers dream come true!!
They have so many unique items! Tons of vintage inspired Halloween figures, ornaments, a section dedicated to Day of the Dead merchandise, witch hats, hand painted wood signage....so many cute things!!!! I had to be careful not to get carried away in here, there is only so much room in my suitcase to get the stuff home..... but I did pretty well for myself!! I ended up purchasing the greatest looking wooden devil head, hand painted by Steve, the owner. I even had him sign it before I left! I also picked up some evil holographic black and white photos and a paper mache fly.
So much fun! I especially liked the Nightmare before Christmas CD playing in the background while shopping. It really added to the experience. I wish we had a store like this here in Michigan! The best! -

Terrasol has some really cute home/office things. I picked up a really col westie-business card holder, and recently a nice owl Christmas ornament.
My biggest win recently was this great atomizer that I'm using for my office; it has this really cool mint wasabi scent to it.
The only problem I have is that sometimes they do the typical "I'll ignore you if I don't think you'll buy anything" or "I'll take a really slow time at the cash register with someone else" if they feel like it. Not that that's terrible or anything--it can't be easy running a business like this on Polk street. -

I first found this little shop last year just before Christmas when I was looking for an ornament for a party. They had such unique blown glass ornaments that it was hard to choose (especially since the prices were so reasonable). I discussed it with an employee and he helped me pick out a great one! I ended up with a martian in a spaceship for less than $20 and it was very high quality.
I was drawn in here the other night before going to Amelie right next door for wine. This time Halloween was beckoning. Blown glass Halloween ornaments, ceramic skull plates, and a cool skull decanter/shot glass set really stood out for me. I was also tempted by the assortment of candles they carry every day. I'll be going back to pick up a set of six mini blown glass ornaments that were only $12!
Make sure to stop in here when you have plenty of time to look around because they have a ton of great stuff and you can get carried away looking at everything! -

If you like collecting odds and ends, visiting museums, and foraging through people's attics for memorabilia, this shop may tickle your fancy. I just had time to do a quick browse, but my eyes took in a ton of knicknacks...candles, ornaments, figurines and religious statues/relics, La Vie Parisienne jewelry in glass cases, notecards, and more...and for the month of October, there were Halloween touches everywhere too. Really unique and charming overall. Come take a peek!

Great little shop with tons of adorable things right up my alley. I could easily get carried away in here. Service was friendly without being overbearing - my favorite kind.
Got a gift here for one of my favorite friends, and she asked me, "Did you get this at Terrasol? I love that store." Homerun!!!
Fantastic spot for cute holiday decor, and hipster "put a bird on it" pieces. -

Best selection of candles without hitting you over the head with their scents. Think classy perfume shop, not Yankee Candle Company.
I was simply wandering about and stumbled upon this little shop but they have so many whimsical decorations and every little section has a theme.
If you want an escape from the hustle and bustle of Polk Street, come into Terrasol into an oasis of heavenly scents and adorable home decor choices. But be warned: You may be tempted to buy everything you see. -

The best and my most favorite shop on Polk St.
They do a fabulous job decorating for every season. And prices are very reasonable too.
Keep up the great decor, I will be back always. It's worth the drive from Napa. -

It's hard to find a true class act on Polk St :)
The owners and employees at Terrasol are not only fun and very helpful, but extremely artistic.I was truly inspired by the hundreds of ornaments which were part of 2010's holiday installation. "It takes us a full 4 days to get everything up" I was informed on a recent visit a few weeks ago. I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! But, settled on 3 lovely ornaments for great hostesses in charge of fantastic parties this past holiday season. There so many kooky, kitschy, and whimsical items to drool over. Stop by and take it all in. . . -

Cute Christmas shop on Polk Street. The shop changes its inventory through the seasons and luckily it caught my eye during Christmas time. I walked by and stopped in after seeing the ornaments in the window. The shop is filled with all sorts of Christmas decorations and ornaments.
I picked out 2 as a gift for a friend who had just purchased a tree. Reasonably priced as well. I got one for about $10 and different one for $12. They were beautiful and the storekeeper wrapped them up real nice for me to give. Highly recommend if you want to find something special for your tree. -

Terrasol's owners are like dream fairies that picked every glittery fantasy I've had in my head and put it into a cute little shop on Polk Street. I love this store. I can spend hours circling around in there. There's always something to see, as inventory changes often in the store. There's something always sparkly (they do their own hand glittering in the back! I've started on this trend as well!) Something hidden up high. Something on the floor. This is one of my favorite stores in the city. I find myself always picking up something adorable for a friend or for myself. And you honestly can't beat their prices, friendly attitude, and terrific selection of adorable things.

Totally Awesome!
Steve went above and beyond to accomodate my work schedule and deliver flowers when I was actually at home, even though that was at 8pm. Who does that? These guys do. He even went to get coffee around the corner as I sat on the N Judah. Now that's cool.
Oh, and of course the orchid was just beautiful! Thanks! -

When this shop first came to Larkin St. I gave it 6 months. Upscale gifts and gorgeous, unique flowers don't exactly fit in with the crackheads and prostitutes who frequent the neighborhood. But after a couple years in business this place has actually helped bring life back to a formerly desolate stretch between the "Tender" and the "Nob".
Owners Steve and Alberto are so sweet and friendly and embody a true artistic spirit that shines through in every nook and cranny of this store. This is the perfect shop to find that unique, sophisticated gift or holiday-themed trinket to give as a hostess gift or for a good friend's birthday. The flowers they choose are so beautiful - not the stock roses and lilies you usually find - and if you tell Steve what kind of arrangement you're going for and your budget he will make a simply stunning arrangement.
These guys make their bread and butter doing lobbies and floral design for businesses and buildings but lucky for us this shop exists to complement their artistry. Speaking of art, they support local artists and frequently feature items on consignment or host art shows to showcase the talents of others.
While parking can be a challenge in this neighborhood, it's worth the trip to check out this little wonderland in the midst of crackville. And visit often since their stock is constantly changing and is reflective of each season or holiday. I have to hold myself back from visiting too often...with so many unique and wonderful items Terrasol can really put a dent in a fellow's bank account! -

Now that Halloween is approaching, I am reminded that I never wrote a review for this wonderful store!
I used to live nearby and would walk on Polk St. regularly - but since having moved away it was definitely a nice surprise to just happen upon it. I was in Terrasol foreverrrrr! They had the biggest, most unique and magical selection of Halloween decorations and things -- as well as other charming items.
I really wanted to buy something, but I was also on more of a budget at the time and really couldn't justify it. One of the owners - I believe his name is Alberto - didn't seem irritated and didn't pressure me. I just looked to my hearts content, took lots of photos of things with my iPhone and we struck up a conversation.
He was very warm and made me like Terrasol even more. If I still lived nearby I'd be there all the time!
I'm going to try to go back before Halloween is up this year - and this time I'll get something. I also really wanted to see the store for Valentine's Day and Christmas...I'll have to make a point to do that as well. I think I'd be like a kid in a candy store! -

Votivo candles within walking distance! No longer do I have to trek to Fillmore or Castro to find these wonderful candles!
These guys are sweeties and the first time I visited, they were having a little Halloween Haunt! They're homemade paper mache black cats and crows (with real feathers!) were the coolest and SO affordable. One of the fellow's mom was visiting too, and she had her newly adopted giant puppy along. What a festive evening it was...I love Halloween.Listed in: My Neighborhood

When i walked into Terrasol from the rough Larkin street location, I felt like I entered a wonderful fantasy-land! I couldn't believe this existed.
They had such an incredible variety of items, from day of the dead to their personal (and REALLY good) art to vintage toy robots.
This isn't an area I visit often, but I will most definitely return. You must check it out at least once. -

Update: they moved to Polk Street.
Great for gifts, near St. Francis Hospital. Terrific ornaments. Really lovely. The shop certainly spruces up the neighborhood, and the owners are very pleasant. -

Terrasol is just about *thee* cutest thing to pop up on Polk.Atho,I do
miss it being a bit closer to my TL neighborhood, the newer location
seems just a tad more spacious with more goodies to choose from,
and higher chances of me going broke... :(
The guys running the show, are the sweetest and coolest and very
personable, which makes me want to do business with them again
and again.

Need a gift for a *unique* person? Rush to Terrasol on Polk. Their studio is on Larkin but their bigger collection and store is now on Polk as of a few months ago.
Talk about an incredible array of arts and crafts. Lots of fantastic Mexican and other Latino creations as well as pop art, candles and other chotchkes you just have to see. The prices are affordable for many of their stuff. On a budget or ready to spend, this is a fantastic gift place.
The guys are so very friendly and helpful. Just jaunt in and have a look... and have fun b/c this place is pure FUN. Especially now that Halloween is just around the corner :-) -

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! What a gem of a store. This is officially my very favorite shop in San Francisco. And you know the shopping in San Francisco is fantastic, so that's saying a lot.
I just discovered it today and I only wish I had found it sooner. I have no idea how I was missing it for the past few months. So many unusual, absolutely beautiful items! Someone described it as South of France meets New Orleans. That's pretty accurate. Glitter, old-fashioned holiday decor, lots of pretty things.
I met Alberto today and he was so kind and helpful. Very cheery and welcoming! Please go to this store, you will not be disappointed! :) -

I love Terrasol. The store itself is wonderfully quirky. But the owners are more than quirky; they are very talented and committed to their art.
Steve did the flowers for my wedding. They were beautiful and reasonably priced. Price wise, he treated it as any other event. On the day of the wedding, he treated it like it was the only event ever. After getting his own flowers together, he even helped set up tables because everyone else was really behind schedule. -

In terms of service, Terrasol (which is on Polk now) was fantastic. My husband and I worked with Stephen to special order a Christmas gift for my in laws. He was incredibly professional, stayed on top of our order (in spite of the vendor's 2 week holiday vacation) so we could get our purchase in a timely manner, and he always communicated with us about what was going on. He was easy to get hold of, and really gave great, personal service, which is out of the ordinary in today's e-commerce world. The store itself is super cute with a lot of unique gifts. I ended up buying quite a few family and co-worker gifts.

Very cute little home decor boutique. They had a fairly good selection of Christmas ornaments but everything was a bit pricey for me. There was a gorgeous glass reindeer decoration I was going to purchase it but then I saw the price tag of $68. YIKES! Won't happen.... But overall it's a winter wonderland & it'd probably go back for some small ornaments.
