The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was lacking a little. Love the tortilla soup!
Went in for an early dinner last night. We ended up ordering "american" food...burger and a chicken sandwich. They were both very good. We had chips and salsa, of course, and the salsa is excellent. Nicely decorated place and friendly staff too. Recommended!
Great chipotle salsa, good margaritas ($3.75 for happy hour). Mediocre Tex-Mex, but fairly priced. Terrible service.
I probably won't visit again due to the service. You can find great margs and Tex-Mex with decent service all over Houston, and service is a big deal for me. In fact, the very first time I visited, I left because nobody visited my table for 15 minutes (to bring water/drinks/chips/menus).
I also dislike that the strip mall looks like it belongs in the suburbs. Also, add $1 extra for flavored margaritas.
They have a great food and it's missing the uppy crowd that many Washington places are experiencing. We went here last Friday night and we had a great service and the food was awesome.
Tex-Mex in its true form. Food is good, drinks are better. A good place to go if you are in the area. Cute lil patio area if you are in the al fresco mood.
A great place, especially if you live nearby in the Heights--this is definitely Tex-Mex, and so while it may not be the place to go if you want "authentic" Mexican cuisine, it is great food, generous portions, fair prices, and cheap beer. On a hot Houston night--and that would of course be most nights--what more could you want than that?
