Not bad for a strip mall restaurant - visiting family in town that are on that side of town.  Talk about cheap food - we tried the combo meal combo chow mein and the saipan noodle soup - enjoyed it a lot.  the inside is so different from the last review - anyways - enjoyed it - the food is freshly cooked - will definitely come back.

When I first started at my job, a co-worker of mine told me I should go pick him and myself up some teriyaki bowls form here.  He swore they were good.  I went around the corner and ordered, brought them back, opened my bowl and stared in horror at what lay before me.  Various pieces of chicken - none of them identifiable as pieces of chicken.  It was mostly fat.  They were encased in a sticky, thick almost black sauce that I'm sure at one point may have resembled teriyaki before it was boiled down for hours.  I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites, and I'll eat almost anything.

I stared in even more horror as my co-worker devoured every bit.  I guess some people like this place.  Definitely not me.

Teriyaki III, located on Flamingo and Eastern, looked to me to have some potential to be my new bento joint of choice. From the outside, anyway. Inside, the lighting is incredibly bright, and the seating is all white wooden chairs clustered around tiny wooden tables. The menu mostly consists of chicken and beef rice bowls, chow mein, lo mein, curried dishes, and gyoza. I chose chicken lo mein, and my boyfriend and his mom opted for the chicken teriyaki bowls. We ordered a plate of gyoza to share, a large diet soda, and my boyfriend's mom took heed to the hand-written sign exclaiming, "TRY OUR HOMEMADE GINGER ALE," and ordered a small for herself. It didn't take long for our food. I grabbed my tray and turned to the "condiment bar," which consists of a bucket of kimchi and an industrial-sized squeeze bottle of soy sauce. I don't know how one would go about obtaining said kimchi, as there were no utensils available. And, luckily, the girl behind the counter had packets of shoyu for me to take to the table. Matt and his mother seemed fairly content with their meals, but for me ... I didn't really dig it. The slices of chicken were jam-packed with all kinds of questionable chicken, ah, parts, and my noodles were very thick and doughy. The teriyaki sauce ladled on top is more of the American variety -- thick, sugary, and gelatinous.

I was considering my leftovers for lunch yesterday, but opted to make it a tasty snack for the feral cats in my complex. Oh, and the "homemade" ginger ale? They scoop three shots of ... something ... out of a mystery bucket behind the counter, then mix it with Sierra Mist from the fountain. So, all in all, I was sorely unimpressed.
