This place is the poor man's benihanas. You wouldn't know it from the outside, or the location, but inside Japanese chefs are flipping shrimp in the air and making onion volcanos. They cook all the food at your table, of course, which makes for an interesting show. The prices are decent and they'll even let you split a pre fix dinner if you want, which makes for an amazing deal! (just make sure to order extra rice if you do this). The food was good, but not amazing. And the wait was pretty long. I'm not sure we'll be back but its a great place to try.

Tried Tepanyaki about a year ago. Pretty mediocre Japanese Steakhouse (which generally is a concept that is easy to nail outside of major cities in the suburbs). If you've never had Japanese Steakhouse, this might do it for you, but I wouldn't recommend Tepanyaki to anyone who been to a Japanese Steakhouse they were impressed by.

I haven't been to this place in years. Three to be exact, but it still tastes as good as I remember. I had the sukiyaki beef with noodles instead of rice. I could make without the sesame on the noodles but whatever teriyaki sauce they used was delish. The show wasn't as good as you'd expect, but I wasn't paying for Benihanas' prices so it worked. I'd recommend going here since it's a hidden goodness among all the other Japanese restaurants popping all over the city.
