Best ribs around, love the mac n cheese, coleslaw and cornbread. reasonably priced.

I understand what everyone means by the young crowd and dive bar. They have a DJ go in Friday and/or Saturday nights (well they did)  so it IS geared toward that crowd....doesn't mean you can't go to dinner and be out by 8 or 9 and avoid all of that...

I've been craving some ribs ever since I arrived in Boston, I looked on Yelp and the closest rib place was Tennessees Real Bbq Real Fast. My aunt and I decided to have lunch here after getting some shopping done.

Let me tell you, at first glance the place looks a bit shady, we decided we go inside and if we didn't like it, we would leave. The door way and the hostess station look very restaurant-y, however once inside, its more of a restaurant turned bar. Needless to say my aunt and I were the only ladies inside the bar/restaurant (oh plus the waiter/bartender). My aunt wanted to leave because she felt a bit uncomfortable, she being from a whole different generation, really wanted to try another place. I convinced her to stay and we had an enjoyable lunch!

We had the baby back ribs and the BBQ sampler, with chicken, pulled pork and Memphis ribs. As our sides, we had onion rings, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, French fries and corn bread! The baby back ribs were our favorites, they were so juicy, they literally fell off the bone! I didn't care much for the BBQ sampler, nothing was amazing. Both my aunt and I love the corn bread, it was fluffy and warm, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Also I liked their French fries, which were crispy. Their house bbq sauce is delicious too! I tried the spicy BBQ sauce but wasn't entirely sold on it.

Overall great place to grab some BBQ with a friend, but not a place to bring the family to eat lunch.

I think this makes my 3rd Tennessee's BBQ location to review.  I wonder if I get a free meal at the 4th and last one?  :-P

This place was different to the other because it was a sit down and wait/serve establishment.  The other two, you order at the bar/window, and they call your number/order to pick up.  This one, however, you're seated at a table and the waitress takes your order and brings the food to you.  Aside from that, the rest seems to be the same.

The food, again, was delicious.  I had the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and onion rings.  With a corn bread appetizer, and sweet tea.  My complaint, would be the sweet tea, because it wasn't.  It was un-sweet tea, or VERY light on the sugar so between sweet and un-sweet, but not at the sweet mark yet.  I was tossing sugar in it to try to give it that 'bit' of flavor I was looking for, and finally had to swap out for a soda.  :-(

I enjoyed every bite of my food though.  The fries were fresh, and the onion rings were a bit messy, but delicious.  Another great BBQ experience, that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for some delicious BBQ in the area!

The food here is generally good, although we only had drinks last night... Not sure when this place turned into a bar (nobody under 21 allowed in after 9 pr 10 PM) but it works. Usually there is a band or some form of entertainment but last night it was just the jukebox.

My "tall" Bud Light was the biggest draft beer I've ever seen (with the exception of the "Yard" beers at Sunset... not even sure if they serve those anymore...) It was at least 32oz. and I needed both hands to drink it. I looked around at the other peeps at the bar, and NOBODY -not even the dudes- was drinking "talls"... I shouldda known! =)

BTW.. it was $3.25. Can't beat it.

Ladies' room was abysmal. Gross. I'll throw them a star for having an automatic paper towel dispenser that actually works. One wave of the hand and done. It's the little things that make me (and Kristen) happy.

I did have a bite of Hawk's baked mac and cheese. It was average, definitely good after a couple of beers, but definitely not "baked". Just plain old mac and cheese.

FYI... The bar is open late -for the 'burbs- (1 AM), but the kitchen closes SUPER early... I believe before 10. I was bummed b/c I was craving BBQ after being there for a few hours... Thank goodness Mickey D's up the street has a 24 hour drive thru... =)

This is more of a obituary than a review. A number of years ago Tennessee's was a take out restaurant that focused on quality food with cooks that were excited about making quality BBQ food. The original owner expanded the seating area to include a bar and booths with transformed it into a fun family friendly place for lunch and dinner and a nice after work spot in the evenings.

Unfortunately the owners changed and the quality of the food the quality of the staff then cleanliness of the place fell apart. Tennessee's turned from the destination restaurant to a scumbag dive bar with questionable and inconsistent quality of the food, filthy bathrooms plus a lack training and maturity of the wait staff.

The restaurant turned into a local clubhouse where the young women wait staff, bartenders and hostesses have their boyfriends hovering over them at the bar and giving jealous glares at male customers being served.

Wait staff consistently ignored seated customers waiting to be served and then complaining when they received a poor tip for poor service.
Over the last two years the restaurant lost it's return customers because of the problems I stated and the renovations which included  pool tables and dart boards with no upgrades to the bathrooms accept the painted plywood walls in the men's room to prevent patrons from slamming their heads or fists through the walls.

Once the quality of the food deteriorated the only thing remaining to be served was alcohol which drew the young boozers ,drug addicts and of course the fights and other problems. Tennessee's is about the change owners again sometime in April or May 2010 and turn into a Pizza restaurant.

The bbq was good :] I got the pulled chicken salad. I went for a quick lunch with coworkers... it was fast and not pricey at all. My water tasted like tap... should've gotten a softdrink.. or a beer would've been nice (isn't beer always with bbq? hahaha) I like how there were different bbq sauces on the table.. but the brickhouse (the spicy one) wasn't spicy at all :[ maybe it's just me.... my coworkers love the place! They usually get the pulled pork with no bread and two sides :] I'm sure I'll be back with them again. It wasn't the best place ever, but it's a fun quick tasty place :]

Now this place has some great barbecue.  I went here for lunch during work one day, and I was blown away that such a good restaurant has gone unnoticed for so long.  This isn't the most family friendly location due to the large bar in the restaurant, but you can sit far enough away from it that the loud (and sometimes potty mouthed) individuals are not within earshot.  I went for dinner once as well and this is quite the bumpin location out in the boonies of milford.  =)  The food tastes great and the portions are hefty.  Every time I've been there, the service has been good.  (There's even a girl who works there with a southern accent)  I've had their ribs, their wings, and their pulled pork sandwich.  They were all delicious and cooked to perfection.  Not too dry, perfectly seasoned, and best of all, tasty sides!

Maybe I just have a weakness for BBQ, but I thoroughly enjoyed rolling up my sleeves and smearing my face with barbeque sauce while inhaling wings and ribs. The wings are my favorite. They are not your typical deep-fried Applebees-style wings. These are flavored with a dry rub and have a delicious smoky flavor. If you have room after the wings, the ribs are great and so are the sides... mac and cheese, candy yams, corn bread. Yeah, I can do some serious damage here!
