Best bowling alley I have ever been too!
A friend made a reservation for two lanes on Saturday around 5pm no problem.
I was surprised when we arrived to find a clean and modern bowling alley.
Our lanes had leather couches and coffee table to relax in between turns.
We had an attentive waitress that kept our drinks filled and made recommendations for food.
The beer list was awesome and the Big Lebowski Nachos a hit. The pizza was also really good.
I won't bowl anywhere else. In fact I went home and ordered bowling shoes because I anticipate coming here alot! -

Ten Pin Alley and Spikes is still hands-down my favorite bowling alley in Columbus. A little pricey but worth it for a unique and fun boutique bowling experience. Shoes are brought to your lane, you pay by the hour, delicious food (alley burger and alley fries!) and great drink options.
BUT I have a few concerns from this weekend. When we've been to Ten Pins before, a server came around and took our food and drink orders. No one came by for about twenty minutes so we ended up ordering from the bar. It was by no means crowded, so perhaps Ten Pins changed how they operate. After we ordered, though, a server finally came around to our line. At that point, I felt kind of bad for ordering straight from the bar.
A friend didn't order with us and decided to order a bit later, around 11:30PM. He tried to order and asked when the kitchen closed. The response was "about now" and they wouldn't let him order. Not good.
I was headed home at midnight but our friends wanted to stay around and bowl as two latecomers just joined them. the staff informed them that the alley was closing. Fine, it was late, but Ten Pin advertises that they're open until 2AM. Either you are or you aren't, but we need to know that before we invite friends to make the trek to Hilliard.
Again, I'll still gladly go to Ten Pins, it's super fun and the staff has been accommodating in the past. I just wish they had expressed some interest in taking our money and letting my friends eat and bowl last night.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I'm not sure this place is a bowling alley. The rental shoes are clean. The carpet is in good repair, all the equipment works, the food is edible. The drinks actually have alcohol in them. The staff isn't surly and the neighborhood doesn't resemble a demilitarized zone.
Two complaints: You pay dearly for the above, and I think they need to rethink their music selection. I was there 6pm on a weekday and they were playing music grossly inappropriate for the crowd. I feel like I'm 35 going on 80 for saying so, but I don't think my sub-12 year old fellow patrons needed to be listening to music with descriptions of cunning linguistics. I'm gonna go break my hip now. -

We felt like Kings bowling and eating at 10 Pin Alley on Lebowskifest weekend!
I made a reservation for 7:30 on Friday for 2 hours at a cost of $27 per hour. They will allow up to 8 people at a lane for this price. We had 4 which was good, We got 2.5 games in the 2 hour window. You prepay for the lane and then pay for shoes when you get there. However, being that it was our first time, they comped us our shoes. How nice!!
Let's just say their service there was over the top great! We ate in the restaurant and the sweet potato tots (YES! Tots) were delish as were the burgers and hand cut fries. I would go here just to eat, their food was better than a lot of restaurants in town and the menu was inventive. During Happy Hour (til 7PM on weekdays) The Pizza's are 10% off and nachos and fries are 50% off. Do it!
So our eating went past our reservation and when I asked the hostess, she said "no problem." How sweet! The we were escorted to 'our' lane where there were lounge couches to sit on and had our 'server' bring our shoes to us and handle our drink orders. Then we got to leave all the balls and shoes at our lane. It was a FANTASTIC experience.
It was so nice eating and bowling with some class! It wasn't over crowded and there were no jerkies loitering and being awful like you can find elsewhere sometimes. Highly recommended!!Listed in: Burger Queen

Wow. I was completely surprised by this place!
I was there this past Saturday with a large group, so we had several lanes reserved, plus had lunch catered, reserved a room for the food, and reserved a room for our meeting. (whoever organized this was awesome!)
I walked in and found our group right away because the place is much smaller than most bowling alleys. I love that they have couches and coffee tables in the bowling area rather than uncomfortable plastic chairs. They had plenty of smaller bowling balls for a light thrower such as myself.
I was totally shocked by the food! It was so good! I think most people expect burgers and fries at a bowling alley, but we had flat bread pizza, mesclun salad, Buckeye bars, and oh-my-gosh-awesome stuffed potato skins. Let me tell you about these potato skins: stuffed with DUCK MEAT and gouda cheese. Topped with bacon, sour cream, chili sauce, and CILANTRO. I have never been so impressed by potato skins!
We bowled for a bit, then had our meeting. The meeting room during the summer season is another little bar that leads out to the volley ball pits. This looks like a fun place to hang out and meet people during summer.
I highly recommend this place if you're getting a large group together. -

The bowling alley and bar have a hip vibe with couches upon which to await your turn, computerized scoring systems and Big Lebowski themed menu items. The first time I went to Ten Pin Alley was for an adult friend's birthday party. Later, I returned with more friends to use my Groupon, which allows me to be a VIB (very important bowler) all summer. I can bring up to 5 friends with me and use a lane for an hour a day with shoe rental comped for the whole group. For 4 of us, this worked out to about 1.7 fairly efficient games (if we'd been more skilled - i.e. more strikes, we probably could have squeezed in 2 full games).
In spite of a couple of faux pas on my part (I'll never reveal the details), the staff were understanding, flexible, and friendly. Drinks and food were brought to us promptly but we never felt pressure to "have another." If you go here, you MUST try the Sweet Potato Tater Tots. They are dusted with chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, salt, pepper and brown sugar. It's a killer combo. Their drink prices are also fairly reasonable. If you want to wind down before or after bowling, there's always Connect4 to play in the bar.
Note, if you see someone there who's only minimally clothed, they may be in the associated sand volleyball league. This, I assume, is why there was sand on the couch we tried to sit on in the bar area - really my only complaint. Also worth knowing - if you bowl with children - there is both bumper bowling and ball acceleration ramps to make the game a little more fun for young bowlers. Later in the evening the lights go low and the place has more of a rocking' feel. I believe that Thursdays feature 80s music during "rock 'n' bowl." I look forward to taking full advantage of my VIB status that lasts through August. -

Yeah, this place is pretty awesome. I wish I lived next door. As apposed to the old, worn out look that most bowling alleys seem to have, it's new, and fun. They charge per hour, as apposed to per game. My friend, my son and I usually get two rounds finished in an hour. There's a nice bar with pretty darn good food for a bowling alley(and rootbeer floats), board games, karaoke nights, and beach volleyball leagues!
This is so much more than a bowling alley, and I always hate to leave, because there are so many fun things to do! -

I went here for "Free Comic Book Day", a local comic book store (PackRat Comics) had a "Meet and Greet" event at this bowling alley.
They were very clean, orginized and have a super friendly staff.
The lanes and the alley's layout is a little tight, but they make good of the space they have.
The prices are a little steap if your on a buget. But if it's a once or twice a year event, then it's ok.
I belive they charge by the hour, so if your in a large group and your slow at bowling and chatting most of the time. Your going to run out of time before you can finish a game. I don't know if it's more to charge by game rather than charge by time. -

Dingy, smokey, fried-food, PBR 70's retro bowling alleys? Not here!
Meet TenPin Alley, the new, modern, 'boutique' style bowling alley in Columbus. This place has it all and is my personal favorite alley in town.
Modern lanes, computers and flat-screen TV at each lane. Seats are not the stiff plastic chairs but soft sofas with coffee tables (a true lounge feel). There's a small selection of video games as well. Then there's the bar/lounge which is quite a comfortable place and also an indoor/outdoor patio area with another bar. Outside you have 4 sand volleyball courts during summer with the all new sand dodgeball leagues this summer (2011)!
What really stands out for this place in my book is the food. Gone are the standard fried foods of most bowling alleys. TenPin's menu is very creative and full of things for every palate. I have not had anything I did not like and I honestly believe their sweet-chili wings are the best wings in town.
Give this place a chance and I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed! -

I bowled there in a Corporate league. The upscale food is absolutely amazing!! Not what you would expect at a bowling alley - or heck - at a local pub! I have gone back to play vball & dodgeball ~ weekdays and weekends and have gotten great service and great food. Highly recommend!

Felt like I should update this - They've continued to provide incredibly tasty food, and the service every time I've been in to bowl or eat has been fantastic. They've also been expanding more events like the live team trivia, bowling leagues, and volleyball tournaments.
If you live in Hilliard and want to bowl, you need to check Ten Pin out!Listed in: Bowl-A-Rama!

Up until this winter break, I hadn't been bowling in probably at least 5 years. Imagine my surprise when I somehow ended up here not once, but TWICE in the span of two weeks.
Like the previous reviewer said, this place is pretty cute in a old-school bowling alley kind of way. It can get kind of busy, but we didn't have any trouble getting a lane. It serves bar food and stays open pretty late--and has a promising-looking disco ball (for late night disco bowling??) There are TVs so that you can space out and watch muted ESPN when you're not up.
They charge by lane: $25 per hour (pro-rated, so that you pay for exactly how long you play) and up to 8 people per lane.
Pro-tip: If you suck at bowling like my friends and I do, ask them to put the gutter bumpers up. It quadruples the amount of fun you'll have, and they didn't even mock us! -

My review for Rollarena just made me remember this place. This is one of those old bowling alleys that still has its original charm. They have alot of bells and whistles too for those who aren't bowlers. Check out the website.
Bowling alley-wise, it seems to be a pretty busy place. It is clean, food is good (pub food) and the service is excellent. The bowling lanes and little seating area/computer are all old school charm and super cute.
The volleyball area and such is a bit newer and has leagues. It is semi- hard to find if you aren't a local so definitely map it out if you're going for the first time.
Oh and it is great cheap fun! -

Ten Pin Alley's food was amazing. The food was served hot, fresh, and every bite was as good as the last. The wings were seasoned just right and the chicken pulled right off the bone. The fish tacos were delicious. The tilapia covered in sauce on the soft taco was so good I ate most the appetizer my self. Not only was the food amazing, the lanes were great. Our whole gang enjoyed it so much we're going to book our holiday party with Ten Pin Alley.
