Review from Brian S.
San Francisco, CA
If I could give 6 stars I would! Terri, the owner and proprietor was extremely warm, helpful, and engaging. The B&B is on the small side, about 5 rooms, and we were in the reader's room, which was the smallest room. This is definitely for readers and hikers, as I don't think I saw a tv anywhere, although there are hundreds and hundreds of books, comfy couches and reading lamps. Terri was a tremendous cook and made some amazing caramel french toast with fruit the first morning and eggs the second morning. They also have daily wine & cheese along with fresh cookies, which are delicious. I had a crappy night when I suffered some food poisoning, but Terri was helpful, providing medicine and ensuring I was OK. I felt like a guest in someone's home and appreciated the warmth and caring. Strongly recommend this BnB for great food, a quiet retreat, and a wonderful host in Terri - you're in good hands.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the B&B was the smell of fresh cookies baking. And then I found out that they were gluten-free, baked just for me. Talk about a warm reception! From that moment on, I knew I'd love this place.
This is a quiet B&B with quaint rooms and a pretty garden (right outside of our window). Teri, the owner, is super friendly and welcoming. After this morning's gluten-free banana nut muffins, I warned Teri that she might get an influx of gluten-free people after my review. She said she'd be happy to have more of us and that there are so many more options for gluten-free foods these days that it's a lot easier to accommodate us. Right on.
I almost never get gluten-free breakfast foods unless I make them myself. This really feels like a mini-vacation! This is a B&B that you don't want to miss. -

Since the last review for Ten Inverness Way was posted in 2008, I wasn't sure what to expect. The pictures on the official website for Ten Inverness Way are accurate -- the place is as cozy and quaint as the pictures make the inn out to be. Terri was warm and kind and served excellent breakfast every morning. It was such a treat to have breakfast in the morning, cookies in the afternoon, and wine and cheese around 5:30pm, on a daily basis.
I also loved walking around Inverness and there were so many great hikes around! I've explored Tomales Bay before, but this was such a treat to be in the middle of it all, for several days. -

Beautiful, secluded home along the Tomales peninsula that has the charm and peaceful atmosphere that you are looking for. If you can afford it, and don't mind people walking above you, I suggest getting the suite. It is a nice, cozy room to spend a rainy afternoon with your significant other.
The staff, there are only 2 of them, are really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and go out of their way to help you out. -

Recently, my family rented the entire bed and breakfast for a delightful weekend of pleasant conversation, psychological warfare, and hiking. Despite our less than ideal behavior, the proprietor never wavered from her role as a gracious host. In the morning, we enjoyed scrumptious breakfasts. In the afternoon, we enjoyed cheese, wine and homemade cookies.
Ten Inverness offers cozy rooms and generous sitting areas. The proprietor is engaging without being intrusive, and she appeared to be unperturbed by even the most cantankerous members of my family. My only small complaint is the presence of silk flowers as decorative elements in some of the rooms. -

We really enjoyed our stay here. The sunlight room was nice because it had a giant window seat where we could both sit and play cards or read. We also hung out in the backyard area a bit, which is nice on a warm day. Loved having the cookies and cheese in the afternoons, and the breakfasts were great. It was reasonably priced compared to other places I researched. I would definitely go back.

Clean, cozy, sumptuous and comfortable. The air is fresh and the drive there is so relaxing and lovely. The breakfast served is fantastic. I can still feel the quilts. Downstairs has a great library and reading room. The coffee IS amazing, as Alisa N. said. It was a bit noisy but that was to be expected.

This place is a wonderful, comforting, and charming location to tour the surrounding Point Reyes seashore area. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, and loved chatting with the other guests at breakfast (which is a scrumptious treat every morning) and during the wine and cheese hour every afternoon. The coffee is amazing, and there are home baked brownies and cookies available all hours of the day. The owners Teri and Brett are super sweet, and Brett is an uber expert on the activities in the area. He even knew some trails in the neighborhood which were especially suited for mountain biking! I felt really lucky to stay here, and it had so much more personality than a sterile hotel. I would absolutely go back if another long weekend was on the horizon!
Thanks, 10 Inverness Way, for a wonderful retreat and being a fantastic home base for our adventures!!!
