Great happy hour place! 2 for 1 drinks... and the drinks are pretty good!

Met up with a girlfriend to catch up at 6, so the place was quiet. 2 raspberry mojitos each and a guacamole to share, we left feeling good!

Came here for happy hour a weeks back in Dec. Had the 2 for 1 special. Got the gimlick. The drink was ok. Company was just ok too. I'd come back.

Checked out Crif dogs a few stores down.

Met up with my date after work and walked down St. Mark's.  The plan was to buy a bottle and then go to grab some dinner.  After a perusal of the drinks menu, that plan went out the window.  She tried the Godiva Chocolate and raspberry vodka martini while I had the Tom Collins.    We're now hooked.  Anytime we're in the area, we usually look to find an open table here.
Try to get there for Happy Hour (2 for 1) because if you think you can get in after 8PM, you're likely to be disappointed.
The great waitstaff seem to appear at the right time to freshen our drinks.

The atmosphere at Ten Degrees is what makes it. It's fun and busy-but-laid-back; there's a nice crowd in a cool setting; and there are no flatscreens in sight. They have a delightful selection of drinks (wine and cocktails seem to be the specialties) and tasty, quality food--not least the Cashel blue Irish cheese!

I had been here with a crowd from work before and thought it would be a good place to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. Moti, the manager, was very responsive when we asked to reserve a space for ~12 people on a Saturday night. On the night, our waitress Lauren was spectacularly attentive to our needs while staying relaxed and friendly throughout the evening.

Ten Degrees could be a little cheaper (we didn't come during happy hour and we ended up spending a lot), but overall, it's well worth it. There aren't many bars in New York where you can find the space for a fun, low-key party. This is one of the good ones.

My friends and I have been going here for years but have recently decided to move on for several reasons.

Whereas every time we went to 10 Degrees before, there was always fun and new music, all of a sudden it's turned into the same crappy grunge/classic rock every time we go, like going to a bad dive bar in Long Island.  So depressing.

We'd always had wonderful experiences with the waitresses and bartenders at 10 Degrees, but the past several times we've been there we got stuck with the short, surly bartender who grudgingly waits on us and seems to be more interested in bantering with his friends and taking smoke breaks every five minutes.

One of the past few times we went, they were also serving their cocktails in plastic cups.  Plastic cups, really?

When did 10 Degrees lose its edge?

I love this bar, I have been many time with my husband and we have always had a wonderful experience. However when I worked with the owner to try and plan a party I found that they were extremely disorganized.  In fact after sending in the final payment form including my credit card authorization I was told 2 weeks later that the reservation was lost and that my party was no longer confirmed.
I recommend proceeding with caution when planning a party here.

I'm not a big wine person but they had interesting wines to try.  I love their daily happy hour 2-for-1 that goes on until 8pm!  All I need to get tipsy off my chair is 2 drinks, so hells yeah!  Their guac on toast is... off.  I didn't see what was so great about the guacamole...  This place does get crowded and it's full of young people.

    "Sister I need wine..."*

How many glasses of wine did I drink? I kind of lost track because of their 2 for 1 happy hour (which runs daily from noon to 8pm.)

Pretty decent wine list/drink list. Varied food menu suitable for vegetarians and meat eaters alike (cheeses, meats, salads, chocolates, entrees too). Try the avocado toasts and the Lucques olives (they are not salty and are so buttery). That, along with three cheeses was the perfect accompaniment to an excellent wine filled evening with a good friend. I really need to ask her if we had three or four glasses though, because I don't remember. Whoops. Thanks ten degrees!

My only (minor) complaint was that the music tended to be a bit on the loud side, which makes having a conversation difficult. And hey, I like loud music as much as the next person, but turn it down just a wee bit. And hey, you kids, get off my lawn!!

*Sorry, I couldn't help the GBV reference.

Writing this during class. I'm a badass.

This is a new favorite. I can't think of anywhere else in the world besides my own house where I can get two glasses of a phenomenal Pinot and a delicious pasta dish for 20 freakin bucks. They have an exciting 2-for-1 deal by the glass till 8pm that would have made the trip worth it on its own, but then we ordered a few pasta dishes and were blown away. I had the Pasta della Nonna (which I can't find on their online menus for some reason) which was one of the most scrumptious pasta dishes I've ever had - an impressive amount of penne tossed in a spicy meat sauce with unbelievably tasty bits of sausage mixed throughout. Best part? It was 9.95. 9.95!!!!! I would have gladly paid $20 for that dish alone.

Service was fast and friendly, decor was dim and cozy, and there's a few couches by the front that would be perfect for a larger group. My only knock on the place is that it can get a little cramped - I was rubbing backs with a guy sitting behind me the entire night which was extremely awkward. But by the 3rd glass of wine, I pretty much stopped feeling anything anyway.

I'm gonna be back, and if I can replicate this experience, this bad boy's gonna get a 5'er.

Drinks are 2 for 1 at happy hour, and happy hour runs from noon - 8pm!

10 Degrees was the perfect spot to get a group together for happy hour and once we were nice and buzzed from the cheap drinks we were able to stumble over to Crif Dogs for some drunken tots and dogs. Good stuff.

When I was a young lad, my drinking evenings used to begin at midnight in super crowded clubs...yea, my post-collegiate stamina was hella dope.

...alas, I'm getting older...so now I like to kick it geriatric-style and hit up happy hours with my "mature" yuppie squads.

East village bars are tailor made for my old-ass lifestyle...and Ten Degrees Bar is perfect...with its 2 for 1 drink special, large comfy couches, intimate interior decor, vast wine selection, and sedate vibe...

Let's just say that these days, I appreciate good conversation with slight slurring in a smooth spot that has zero pretentions.

Man, I need to be put out to pasture.

Came for happy hour, 2 for one everything after work on a weekday. Came right before the crowd and got a good seat - couches around a table near the winder. It's a tiny place, but the selection of wine is fantastic, and the service is great.

It was a perfect place to catch up with old friends and chat - not too loud (yet) and beautiful, cozy space. The price is right if you go early - and always worth it.

One year after my initial visit and Ten Degrees has still yet to disappoint.  I basically bring everyone and their mother here because it is just such an amazing bar if you love wine and/or champagne and you also love 2 for 1s.  Seriously, how can you beat that?

This is a great place to just meet up with friends or even somewhere to bring someone that you're interested in.  The atmosphere is definitely cozy even if you're sitting at the bar.

I've already been several times here since my first time, and this place never disappoints.
Great service, excellent wine collection, and pretty good snack food.
So last night I got some of their Old Vine Zinfandel and we ordered a plate of their Basque sheep cheese with the San Daniel Prosciutto, one order of the Duck Tartines served with a side of Cognac Coconut Sause, and two orders of the Skirt Steak Sliders.
Everything tasted great, especially with the Zin that I am a fan of.
This is a great place to chill after work.

Love this place.  The 2-for-1 Happy Hour from 12 to 8 can't be beat (four top shelf drinks for 25 bucks?  Hell yes).  Great wine selection, friendly and engaging bartenders, and an overall cozy place to grab a drink with a friend or partner.  Only downside is that it's a little small; however, if you get there early, you can get a good seat.

I reserved the front area by the couch for my birthday based only on yelp reviews and I'm so glad i took a leap of faith! I love the crowd and the vibe of Ten Degrees. The decor is exactly my style! Casual and cozy but not grungy. Our waitress was SUPER sweet and fun and extremely attentive to our large party. The price was reasonable even without the happy hour special. I'm sad we didn't get around to ordering any food because I hear its delicious but I guess I'll save that for next time.

Overall, I will definitely be back on a regular basis and highly recommend this bar.

We strolled into Ten Degrees around 7 pm on a Friday evening. They had the big doors open and the noise from the bar was welcoming. The decor of this place captured me right away, with big ottomans in the front with couch like seating, then a bar area, and down what may seem like a narrow hallway was cafeteria style seating along with taller bar tables.

We got an hour of happy hour under our belt which was more than enough! What's great about this spot is they allow you to order off their cocktail menu rather than just offering well liquor for happy hour. I would highly suggest trying the Lynchberg Lemonade which was delish as well as the French 75 and but the Moscow mule was okay.

My friend ordered a caprese salad and let's just say they don't skimp on Mozz! They could have hooked it up with a few more tomatoes and another sprig of basil but that's okay. The mozz was fresh and with a little balsamic drizzle it was a good way to kick off appetizers.

The service was great, and for a busy bar very attentive. They turned out the drinks rather quickly as well. I was able to have three cocktails within the time we had left for happy hour and lets just say it was more than enough! Great little spot if your in the village and looking for a place to grab a drink with either a date or some friends.

I came here on a Friday night based on a friend of a friend's suggestion.

We entered the space and found a nice table to the right of the entrance. We were a party of four and could have easily seated three to four more people in this table area. The table was reserved for 10:30pm so we needed to make sure to keep our eye on the time.

I ordered the Panino alla Caprese, which is a panini with mozzarella, tomato and pesto. To my horror, one of the staff members messed up the orders and I ended up with Panino di Parma. This is a panini with prosciutto. Due to the panini switchup, I had to wait an additional amount of time to get my sandwich because the person who ordered the meat sandwich had already bitten into the non meat sandwich. The server apologized and comped the panini order but I still had the awful thought of mistakenly biting into a meat sandwich. The panini itself was ok. A bit too crispy.

The music at the beginning of the night was okay but it grew obnoxious with the volume and the music selection. It appears that this wine bar attracts a certain crowd, if you get the picture. Because of this, it was very hard to carry a conversation...as the music was too loud and distracting.

The one positive bit to this wine bar is the wine-by-the-glass list. I think it's a decent variety and the red wine glass list ranges from $9 to $15.

Some people reserve the phrase "loyal devotee" for things like yoga, or juice cleanses, or religions.  But no, not me.  I reserve the use of this phrase for my local watering holes.  And why should they not deserve this type of praise?  Ten Degrees has been my "go-to" bar for years now, and through this have convinced other people of its utter awesomeness and have surely made them a lot of money over the years!  Case in point: two of my good friends recently threw their birthday parties here.

The food is also yum yums.  They have INCREDIBLE guacamole.  No lie.  Try it.  Strangely enough, they also have pretty good hot dogs.  Hey, whatever.  I'm just saying, Ten Degrees has remained a steadfast place of drinking for me and a bunch of my friends, and I feel that it probably deserves another star for time-consistency alone.  Cheers!

But the girls were down to earth and I could see them hanging out with us!

We got the cheese & meat platter and also guac which was fab as home in California!

Beautiful little gem located in the heart of the East Village.  This is a wine bar/gastropub with all of the fixings that allow you to have an enjoyable evening after work.  The bar is small, intimate, and includes a brick interior which just screams NYC.

I came here for happy hour for their 2-for-1 drink special, evening out your drinks to a mere $5 a piece.  And these are not just drinks, these are delicious concoctions made right.  I enjoyed the Sangria and Mojito, each were delicious.  My friend also decided to order food, and although small, her food was "delicious".

If you are ever in the East Village after a long day at work, definitely check this place out.  And, I for sure, will be venturing over to the east to quench my thirst at some point in the near future.

    Cheers!

Best happy hour in East Village! IMHO that is.

Buy-one-get-one-free handcrafted cocktails = unbeatable. I'm talking QUALITY cocktails. This is pretty unusual for a bogo-free deal.

The food rocks (get the guac), and staff rocks - I wish I knew the name of our lady - she's so cheerful & nice. I've been maybe 3 times and she recognizes me by knowing my drink order ahead of time, every time.

So charming, unpretentious, low-key... and expect very high quality of product. They also have good tunes playing - love this place.

Ten Degrees is a dependable go-to for happy hour in the East Village. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon post-9th St. shopping spree, pre-dinner. The guacamole is gigantic for $9, and the 2 for 1 drinks till 8 make it easy on the wallet. I recommend the Dougie.

I have a pretty good feeling that if I were a resident of East Village, I'd certainly be the Duke of Ten Degrees before you could say Gewürztraminer!

I've been a sucker for wines as of late, so naturally, bars that specialize in providing exceptional fermented yum yums has been my bag... and upon needing to burn some time waiting for a reservation at Please Don't Tell down the street, I was lured into Ten Degrees by the great music streaming from within, the attractive looking clientele, and best of all, their 2-for-1 happy hour from 4:00pm - 8:00pm! I'm not certain how often they break out that economy-busting special, but it was one of the best deals I saw all weekend in NYC. Usually when you go to a bar that has a gimmick like this, the only drinks that qualify are the crappiest of rotgut well drinks... but at Ten Degrees, nothing is off limits! Feel like getting a buy-one-get-one-free glass of $14 Petit Syrah? Have at it! You can even mix and match if you'd like, settling on a glass of vino, then moving onto a hand-stirred Manhattan if that tickles your fancy. Love it!

In addition to the smokin' deals, the staff and patrons are all really cool, and it has that cozy feel that sucks you in like a Siren from Homer's Odyssey. What started off as a way to burn 10-15 minutes extended into a 2+ hour hang. I can only imagine this spell is cast on most folks who saunter through their doors.

When you think about it, drinks in general are pretty expensive. Come on, $14 for a drink? I think you can get like 80 chicken McNuggets for that much money. 14 slices of pizza at 2 Bros or 14 pieces of sushi at Nori. In any case, I got suckered into their 2 for 1 deal for a happy hour that lasts till 8 pm.

WARNING: The 2 for 1 deal is per person, so no sharing.

Godiva Chocolate and Raspberry Vodka Martini - The Stoli vodka they used reminded me of my college days. The chocolate seems like a good idea at first, but towards the end I got sick of the sweetness. The oreo crumbles that float on top give it an interesting crunch and flavor. Overall, I would probably not get this again. Priced at $14 for one.

Mojito - You can add a selection of fruits like strawberry for an extra buck. This was a solid drink. The mixologist created the perfect balance of mint, bacardi rum, sugar, and lime. The mint was extra strong to give it that refreshing taste. The downside is that the mint takes up a lot of room, so you end up with a drink that is rather low on the liquid side. Other than that, this is a pretty excellent choice. Priced at $11 for one.

I went here for a birthday get together. Someone had called ahead a few weeks before and Ten Degrees had reserved a table and lounge area right in the front of the bar us. We didn't order food besides for a platter of cheese, meats and bread.  Everyone got speciality drinks to start because it was a birthday celebration. The Lemon Drop Martini was delicious, not too sweet either. Would also recommend Dougie's Juice and their mojitos. They serve an interesting mix of craft beers including Ithaca Apricot (yay! Ithaca represent!). Service is awesome! Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate you.  Good place for a chill get together.

This is a place that I can walk into any day of the week, any time of year. That makes me VERY happy.
I also know the owner as I have hosted a few events in their back room (awesome back room! fits like 60 ppl standing if you move out some of the seating. and they are SO accommodating!).
I like wine/beer with small plates, and good conversation.  Throw in a long comfy couch and a glass garage door that slides up in the warmer months and I'm all set!  Get there early to snag those front seats though.
It's also nice to sit in the back when it's cold outside and toast up with your honey.
I never get rushed out. Great service. Doesn't break the bank, yet you feel like you had a luxurious night out.

Whenever people ask me what 'my spot' is in New York, I say Ten Degrees without hesitation. I have yet to find a happy hour that touches Ten Degrees' two-for-one from noon until 8 p.m. For no more than $14, imbibe two perfectly mixed drinks, including everything from Manhattans and Tom Collins to more inventive champagne cocktails and of course, wine. Mark, the daytime bartender, is a joy to be around, and Moti, the owner, is freaking fantastic when it comes to reserving the private room in the back. (No fee, just a $500 guarantee for 30-plus people, or $250 guarantee for the couch in the front.) Food wise, try the guac and chips or a salad in the summer, or the seasonal soups in the fall. Oh, and if the dark-haired, slim, evening bartender puts on his iPod and you left any part of your heart in the '90s, you're in for a serious treat.

Quite honestly, there isn't anything that I don't like along St. Marks Place and Ten Degrees Bar is an example.  Awesome spot for happy hour!  Even better, this place is so intimate and cozy which I absolutely love and I can actually make convo and hear the other person.  Great vibe from the diverse crowd and the drinks are yummy!

2-for-1 drinks until 8pm and this includes all the delicious cocktails and wines.  Dude, this is totally a great deal.  I came here for hh with a party of 6 on a Tuesday and we each had at least 4 rounds of drinks and yes, only paid for 2 rounds worth.  This makes me happy!

A nice place to have a drink with friends on a week night. I heard this place can get scary on the weekends.

We met up here on a Wednesday night and it was already close to 10pm with the place filled with people. I can only imagine what it is like on the weekends.  It was warm and all the windows were open, so this place gives you a nice airy vibe and makes you feel like you are outside.

Nice cozy tables and a great place to chat and catch up over a few draft beers. It is casual enough for friends, but also would work for an initial meet-up with a potential date.

Wait staff were extremely nice and flirty. That's always a plus!

Cute, narrow bar that serves a great happy hour - 2 for 1 til 8pm!

Although there's no patio, they have the window open in the front so makes you feel that you are sitting outside. But in any case, this place is well ventilated (I sat right by the fan so I was easy breezy all night) so you never feel like it gets too hot with all the people. Plenty of seating, even a private room in the back.

Great drinks menu. Plenty of beers, cocktails and vino to choose from. I stuck with the Crispin Cider as usual.

Service started out great when we got there at 5:15pm-ish because it was still relatively quiet. Our friendly waitress kept an eye out on us, refilling our empty glasses quickly. Then, as the night progressed and it got busier, it took longer and longer for us to get our drinks. But it happens.

Great place for a date or catching up with friends.

Me and my friends were just hanging out near st marks and decided to come here. I knew they had the happy hour on weekdays but didn't know drinks were 2 for 1 even on weekends!
We ordered white sangria with chips/guacamole. They refilled our ice several times for the sangria and also refilled our chips when we didn't even ask for it :)
It was really crowded as it was a sat night but overall great happy hour and service!

Cool bar.  Simple design lots of wine bottles.  Basic circle bar in centre.  no special drinks.  But lovely sofas.  Good crowd.  Great atmosphere.  just hang out chat and have a few beers.
