I booked this tour for my boyfriend's 28th birthday.
I was impressed with the trolly and sober driver all day. These guys went above and beyond my expectations.
They have shuttle that picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the meeting point and took us back at the end of the day.
Any time we purchased a bottle of wine, loaf of bread or wine glass the guys took car of it for us. My boyfriend and I literally had nothing to worry about all day. The guys walked around and took pictures of the different groups at the different wineries.
The lunch that is included is great.
All around a wonderful way to spend a sunny day in Temecula.
I will definitely be going back! -

This was booked for a Girls' weekend trip.
Let me just say, that they were well organized, friendly, and helpful. I was quite impressed with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone!
They made your day easy and fun. You didn't have to worry about breaking any bottles that were purchased or storing them away. They took care of everything and made sure you got everything back when you disembarked.
Lunch was a nice surprise, not only was the food yummy, they had a live band enterntainment. All this on top of a hill.....
Was a great start for our weekend! -

5 stars for many reasons.
The vehicles we shuttled in to the cable car, and the cable car itself. Well Maintained and lovely. Blankets available because it was breezy and shuttle very clean, comfortable and stylish.
Another star for Debbie: She is very organized and follows up for confirmations as many times at is takes. Yes she did! she called and emailed me for information regarding my lunch about 5 times. I thought that was considerate instead of just saying oh well. She also assisted all guest that was part of our Bachelorette Party so they were in the know.
Another star for Mike and Walter: Both of whom were informational, in great moods and seem to love what they do.
Another star for lunch: it was good, we had sandwiches on flat bread. I had chicken pesto. very good. You have several choices. Everyone had something different and everyone like their meals.
another star for the wineries they took us to. we went to 4 total. the first being my favorite although I cannot remember the name it but it was fashioned after a fairy tale house I shall not mention in case you don't want me to blow the surprise. the wine choices were good and we didn't pay for anything extra with the tour and we were all nice and toasted.
So if you are looking for a wine tour I have to say we really enjoyed ours with Temecula Cable Car tours. We were a party of 7 females and we had a great time. Our Bachelorette was looking for fun, but something more our age than a lot of clubs. I think she made the right choice and we chose the right Tour company.
Our tour took place Memorial day weekend this year in case that is helpfull. -

We planned a small group tour for my girlfriends birthday on Sunday March 13, 2011 and it worked out great! First of all, visiting 4 wineries with lunch included for only $85 is a great deal, but to top it off, our driver, Debbie was an awesome host and was a lot of fun. She took us to 4 wineries in about a 4 1/2 hour period and was very funny, laid back, and because our group was so small we were not given any strict time restrictions at each winery and we even got our say into which vineyards we visited! Debbie took photos of our group whenever we wanted and even came up with some great group shots using the tour bus as a prop! She assigned us each a number and then kept track off our purchases and free tasting glasses we got at each winery so when we arrived back at our hotel it was organized and ready for us!
The food ordered from a place called "Cosi" was fantastic (Tandoor Chicken flatbread sandwich was YUM!) and was delivered at the perfect time and we were able to enjoy the food on the patio at the 3rd winery. Even the birthday girl was given a mini chocolate cupcake!
My favorite part comes the next day when I realized I left my sunglasses on the tour bus - my girlfried called Debbie and she immediately said "Yes, I have them!"...we decided to visit two other wineries the next day before we headed home and Debbie volunteered to meet us at one to hand deliver the forgotten sunglasses! I was so grateful (They were $150 D&G glasses afterall!). Now that is customer service well beyond anyones expectations!
So what it comes down to is this... you'd be crazy not to take this tour! You should probably consider them each and every time you go to Temecula for wine tasting! We will definitely be going again! -

Red, Red Wineeeeeeeee go to my head.... make me forget that i ... am in Temecula?
In reality you have 3 options when going wine tasting:
A) Figuring it out yourself (DUI? no thanks). B) Another Shuttle / Wine Tour Company C) Non winery familiar company like a private limo or taxi-ing it.
I wasn't sure of what to expect with wine tasting in Temecula, but I was pleasantly delighted and glad we booked with the Temecula Valley Cable Car. The weekend we went was extremely packed so we didn't get on the cable car, but on a shuttle bus with air conditionining. About 10 minutes in we were glad we got the AC because it was about 98 degrees outside.
Debbie was our driver/ tour guide / or "tour mom" as she'd put it and she was awesome. She came to pick us up at our resort in the dessert (Pachanga) around 10AM and afterwards made 2 more stops to pick up the others and we were on our way! Our bus totaled 13 people and it was pretty comfortable inside. It could probably fit 18ish? The bus was also somewhat dark with those led rope lights too... reminded me of a vegas part shuttle.
Our tour brought us to 4 wineries: South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, Briar Rose Winery, Oak Mountain Winery and Masia de Yabar. At most of the wineries, you get tickets or vouchers to get tastings, and you're sorta on your own there to go at your own pace. Overall, we had probably around 30-45 minutes at each winery and it was just the right amount of time. Lunch is also provided with tour. The albacore (tuna) sandwich wasn't too shabby at all.
Tip:
- Bring a bottle or two of water if you get dehydrated easily. You can buy it at the winery, but who needs to.
- Drink lots of water the day before and bring some sunblock.
- Bring an extra jacket in case you get cold.
- Bring some good company so you can have a blast! -

I have never been wine tasting in temecula and I decided to treat my parents and sister to a day trip in Temecula wine country. We're from San Francisco and my mom always enjoys the cable car rides in SF, so that is how I chose this group. They were also a little less expensive than the other wine tours. I was pleasantly surprised. Debbie provides great customer service via the phone. Mike and Wally who manned the Cable Car tour were great. We visited four wineries: South Coast, Monte de Oro, Oak Mountain and Europa. We had a great time! I would definitely use Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours again.

THE LOWDOWN
For an affordable $85 per person, you can take a tour of Temecula Valley Wine Country. You are taken to four different wineries and the tastings at each are included in the price. And if you're a closet alcoholic like the Chubby Gourmet here, you're pretty much guaranteed to be pleasantly sloshed by the end.
THE TOUR
Despite the name, you're not necessarily going to be on a cable car. The day I picked wasn't very busy (only 4 people), so we rode in a limo bus instead. It was very comfortable and that's pretty much all that mattered to me. The bus picked us up right on time at 11:00AM and we got back at around 4:45PM.
Debbie was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the history, geography, and wineries of the area. We visited Leonesse Cellars, Oak Mountain Winery, Keyways Vineyard, and South Coast Winery. We were given a behind the scenes tour at Keyways. They showed us where the wine is made and let us drink some 2009 Cabernet right out of the barrel it was aging in! At the end of the day I came home with nearly a dozen bottles of wine. My wallet was begging for mercy.
I was told if we ever wanted to come back we could go to different wineries. So I'm assuming you could make requests in advance if you really wanted to.
FINAL IMPRESSION
I enjoyed the afternoon immensely. Temecula was beautiful and the wines were excellent. Debbie was very friendly and accommodating. I'll probably go again next year when it warms up a bit. Assuming I ever sober up after this trip, that is. -

I had such a good time with this Cable Car Wine Tour in Temecula! One of my best friends wanted to have her bachelorette party in Temecula and do wine tasting- not the typical Vegas stuff. She is getting married in San Francisco so the Cable Car was the perfect theme for her!
They have a great special for bigger groups. We didn't have enough for that so it a bit more but it was well worth it.
Debbie picked us up from our hotel- we stayed at Embassy Suites and then took us to another hotel where we picked up two other groups and got on the Cable Car! It was funny because we were all decked out in our bachelorette gear with our sashes, pins, beads and then another bachelorette group was there too! There was also a group celebrating her 30th bday. It was a fun and rowdy crowd.
We went to four different wineries. The first one was the best and it seemed to digress from there in terms of scenery and wine quality but by that time we were pretty buzzed.
The tour broke it up really nice because we would spend about an hour at each winery and after the second one we got lunch there. When we purchased wine they made sure to box it for us in a group, wrap our souvenir glasses, or we could drink it on the cable car!
Since it got pretty windy on the cable car the clear plastic that enclosed the cable car was great! They also had fleece blankets available for you to use too. How thoughtful!
The tour lasted about 5 hours and it was so worth it. Its worth not driving when you're drinking and the wineries were not in walking distance. We felt like such queens.
These are the wineries we hit up.
1. Briar Rose - OMG you HAVE to try the wine beer - Froggy!! So amazing and don't be fooled its 11% alcohol!
2. South Coast Winery- They give you tasting card but this place rarely collects so you'll get a lot of alcohol!
3. Oak Mountain Winery- this place was just okay for me- not as many selections I liked but they did have an olive oil tasting which was neat.
4. Cougar Winery- I just loved the name! haha because we are all Cougar in training! They had these fake tats and we put them on our face. haha.
Wine tours are the best way to go especially if you're in a group. I was weary about the idea of doing a wine tasting for a bachelorette party but it was great! This would be good for bday events too! -

Where to begin.. Well first of all, this was my second time going to Temecula for wine tasting, but first time actually taking a tour. We ending up picking this tour due to the fact that we liked the whole cable car vibe it had going. Plus the price was a little bit better overall.
Let me tell you, this is overall the best thing we could of done! This was the best experience we ever had, and it being our first, it was a beautiful overall experience. Mike and Debbie, were both very down to earth people, as well as very entertaining. Since there the owners, i was honestly pleasantly surprised as how well they took care of the group.
First of all they picked us up at our hotel, and then we went to our first winery. One winery down, we went to our second, and then third, which i might say, had a beautiful view, where we had lunch, and wine tasted afterwards as well. With 4th, one down, and pretty tipsy to boot, we get driven back to our hotel.
I would seriously recommend this tour if you ever go to Temecula to go wine tasting. You get great hospitality from the owners, plus they treat you very well.Comment from mike h. of Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours 3/9/2010

This was the best winery tour ever. Debbie took excellent care of my party and she made us fell extra special. For $85 we toured 4 wineries, 6 tasting per winery, a free glass at 3 of the wineries, and lunch was excellent. Thanks Debbie and Robert everything was excellent and I will tour again.

Very punctual, professional and informative. They take you to 4 wineries, which is more than enough and offer a nice lunch mid-way through the tour. Love the cable car part - being in the "open" as we were. They gave just enough time at each winery to really enjoy and relax.
