Preface these reviews by saying thanks to our friends who contributed to this weekend trip to Temecula for A and me.  The following review(s) (good or bad) is no indication of our great appreciation of your generosity.
The Temecula Creek Inn is a golf resort located approximately 15 minutes from Temecula wine country.  We arrived at the Inn Sat afternoon after an easy drive from some De Portola wineries.  The overall ambiance of the resort is quiet and mature.  Saw a lot of older couples and/or families with children (not infants).  The lobby (and the rest of the resort) is themed with a southwestern motif... furniture, artwork, Indian artifacts.  The Lobby is small and busy.  We waited approximately 20 minutes throughout the check in process.  Our check in was complicated due to the fact that it was purchased by several friend.  However, I always witnessed a busy and overwhelmed front desk on several visits to the lobby.
Our room was approximately 0.1 miles from the lobby area.  A balcony with very nice direct view of the golf course with the mountains in the background.  The room was spacious and clean.  The room and furnishing is on the older side.  It can be seen that the last renovation was years ago.  Analog TV, iPod docking station, coffee maker available.  A bottle of Thornton white wine was left on our desk as a gift from the resort.
Workout facility is small, well equipped, and again older.  Treadmills, elliptical, and stationary bikes are available.  A short walking trail (1 mile each way) is nearby.
The restaurant located on site is VERY good.  A separate review (and rating) will be posted shortly.
Overall this is a good resort/hotel option for those who play golf or is looking for a low key quiet stay in the Temecula valley.

I had my wedding here (at the Stone House) this summer and it was fabulous! We had a great time...the wedding coordinators are great and so very nice to work with.
The place is beautiful, clean, and organized.
The food is also good...we have eaten at the Temet Grill many times and always liked our food, so we were not surprised when our wedding food was just as yummy.
The rooms are great...spacious, clean, modern...and the grounds/trees/golf course...stunning.
I would recommend for dinner, a night's stay, or a wedding...or all 3!
(I don't golf, but I'm sure that's good too).

We stayed at the Temecula Creek Inn for a wedding.
I loved it. Obviously we notice big things first and little things after...
So big things.. the rooms ( we were in a double room) were large and spacious. We had a HUGE flat screen tv, and an ipod alarm clock. (hubby was soo jazzed)
Our room was on the ground floor and we had a lovely green space behind our room. it would be a lovely place to have breakfast. It would have been nice to have a slightly more secure locking feature on the sliding back door. But It was very nice. The grounds are lovely, there are lots of walking paths and it is so relaxing, you forget you are just five minutes from the city and less than a mile from the highway.
The beds were SUPER comfy. The pillows were wonderful and soft.
The decor was very country, southwest. The bathroom and "kitchenette" ( fridge, wet sink, and coffee pot, no micro) are high counters and done in a new marble.
The wedding was fully catered by the wonderful on site restaurant and staff. The food from appetizer, to dinner, to desert was fabulous. If it is even a hint of what the food in the restaurant is like, then the moderate prices of the restaurant will be well worth it.
My hubby played the golf course that morning. He loved it. He is by no means a pro golfer, he has played a few select courses. This course was very nice and he enjoyed the game and company.
The little things...
I am short ( 5'4") and was 6 months pregnant while staying at the hotel. The counter height, and size of the belly made getting to the sink a wee bit difficult. Which would have been really bad for applying make-up, IF they hadn't had a wonderful  make-up mirror on the wall that swings out.
The bath soaps, and lotions are (get this) Bath and Body Works. The lotion, soap, shampoo and conditioner were all the coconut lime and verbena scent, there was also an exfoliating bar that was the warm sugar scent. I was so excited about that, that I made hubby ask for some more at the counter.
The towels, were soft and large. So, often hotel towels are barely larger than a hand towel, and about as soft as a sheet of sandpaper. But these were soft and wonderful to use.
The shower head, is a rain style shower, on an extender the joints of the extender all sprayed water in random directions while hubby was in the shower.
All in all the only problem I had with the room was the counter height, hubby had issues with the shower head.
My Mother In Law had a problem. the reservations were paid for with a credit card. They requested a card for the assundries for the room. In the end, they double charged her. they had already charged her credit card, and then charged her debit card. The money will be returned within 3-4 days, but it has temporarily wiped out her account.
I would have given the hotel a 5... but the little issues and the double charge are a problem.

For the second year in a row we hosted our managers meeting here.  The rooms are nice and quite affordable.  You have a nice view of the golf course and can walk to everything.  The golf course is nice, and reasonably priced.  The meeting rooms are nice and the staff was quite helpful.  The food at the restuarant was ok.  Be patient, the food service is slow.  The bar has great views of the course, but it does close early often.  If you are in the area to tour the wineries this is a good place to stay.

Temecula Creek Inn features 27-Holes of Championship Golf surrounded by over 300 acres of rustic beauty, dramatic elevation changes, sweeping mountain views and year-round sunny weather. Stonehouse Nine Golf Course features Rock Outcroppings where precision play is critical. The more traditional adjoining fairways of the Creek Golf Course offer increased length, while the well-bunkered Oaks Golf Course is known for its tree-lined beauty and playability. Only played here once. Might not come back, only because their is better courses near by. Still had some fun, had a good breakfast their also.

The rooms are amazing
very clean
flat screen tv
big beds
great view in the morning: golf course
you can even step outside onto the golf course and enjoy the morning
bath room is very clean
it even has a little kitchen sink

the only problem is that you can hear your neighbors
one of the neighbors kept walking all night
it was kind of creepy because it was so late, but all in all
good enough for kids to bring their video game systems so they dont get bored because i know i did
quick check in

A nice place.  Rooms recently redone but there is only so much that can be done with the old bones.  I found the place to be charming and the grounds to be well kept and peaceful.  Reminded me somewhat of a cross between Pebble Beach and the Madonna Inn.  The room did have the plasma TV.

I am a fan.

Temecula Creek Inn is lovely -- the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful. The only problem is, this place is absolutely jam-packed with rich assholes. The Rich Assholes next door to us in particular thrilled us with their children who screamed and slammed the door adjoining our rooms nonstop from 4pm until 11pm. Thanks, Rich Assholes! The Rich Assholes also prevented us from walking to the stone house that was so hyped up by the hotel brochure - as apparently if you try to walk there when golfing is in session, you could get smacked in the face by a golf ball and are warned not to attempt visiting as a result. And golfing is ALWAYS in session when rich assholes are around! Breakfast at the Temet Grill was absolutely amazing, but apparently only Rich Assholes are allowed to eat it on Sundays, when it spikes up to $35 a person for brunch. We most enjoyed our stay at the Temecula Creek Inn when rich assholes were absent, aka not the weekend days. And apparently Rich Assholes become more of Assholes after their wine tour, so if you're going to hang around the hotel, I suggest doing so only before 4pm. Unless you yourself are a rich asshole, too.

I almost forgot about this course. Okay, 27 holes in this cute, woodsy resort course. First the price. Fair not too expensive like Cross Creek but not as cheap as Temeku Hills. You're looking at prime time going at about $70 and twilight rounds going at $45. Fair and nice price with a cart.

Now the practice areas, great and true putting greens and an adequate driving range. I've never been there when they allow hitting off the grass, it's always been mats for me and their mats have always been old. So a few point off there.

The golf: 27 holes. Stonehouse 9-features rock outcroppings and huge elevation changes. Considered the most challenging of the three. Creek 9-considered the longest. And the Oaks 9-tree lined parkside course. The last two nines are much alike and the last two 9's remind me a little of a flatter Torrey Pines without the beautiful scenery. The Stonehouse 9 is fun, difficult and you have to keep your drives in the fairway.

Now the one thing I don't like about this course is that for a resort course, it feels like a muni. I hardly see marshals and golfers seem to be driving everywhere. Like there are no rules or respect for the course nor the golfers. This course can be so much better but I think it looks like a muni when its supposed to be a resort course. I just want this place to be a little more formal. A slight recommendation.

Last month I put up my parents at Temecula Creek Inn for a weekend.  They were very pleased... and they travel a lot so they can be somewhat critical of accommodations.  From the lady at check-in (very cheerful with adorable Irish accent) to the groundskeepers on the golf course, everyone at this peacful and subdued resort was friendly and accommodating.

My father and I spent an afternoon on their golf course, which is nestled up against a granite boulder-strewn hillside and has plenty of native oaks and water features.  It is picturesque and offers enough challenge for us weekend duffers without being a ball gobbler.  We also treated my parents to a dinner at the hotel's restaurant, the Temet Grill, which despite the somewhat casual sounding name ended up being very gourmet.  I would put their Marinated Colorado Lamb Chops paired with some Cabernet from one of the local vineyards (I think we had Stuart Cellars) against any of the pricey meals I've had in New York, Paris, and other gastronmically snooty cities.

The best part of the visit was a day spent out in wine country on The Grapeline Wine Country Shuttle, which is part of a wine tour package that Temecula Creek offers.  My wife and I joined them on The Grapeline, which I will review separately (I'd give this wine tour company six stars, if I could).  Even though I live in Temecula, which is known as "Southern California Wine Country," I had no idea how awesome it is to spend a day sampling the wines produced right in my own backyard.  Temecula Creek Inn, with their wine tour package, surprisingly high-end restaurant, and convenient location (five minutes from all the entertainment options of Pechanga Casino in one direction and five minutes from Old Town Temecula in the other direction) is the perfect base camp from which to explore Southern California Wine Country.

Come for the golf and hotel, stay for the brunch!

The rooms at the Inn are non-descript and outdated; certainly not worth the hefty rates they charge.  You can do better... but maybe not in Temecula.

The gorgeous photos on their web site hardly compares to their accommodations.  And it's NOT a B&B.  If you are traveling here solely to stay, I'd reconsider.  Since we were here for a wedding, you can't beat the proximity to the room.

The grounds are beautiful and provided a romantic backdrop for the wedding.  A stone cottage surrounded by trees - makes me feel like I've traveled a lot further than Temecula.  Food is scrumptious and beautifully catered.

The rooms were...disappointing.  It is obvious that they tried to renovate the rooms, but the outdoor hallways makes it feel motel-ish.  It felt dark and a little dingy.  The bed was comfortable and the wall-mounted plasma tv helps distract the eye.  Rustic may be the word, but little charm.

Oh - and if you are requesting a crib, don't.  We ended up with a well-used pack-n-play 'cause their crib didn't assemble correctly.  I felt bad for the kid and tried covering it with as much material to form a barrier from touching his skin.  Still a little skeeved about that.

Bottom line - great wedding...not so great rooms.

This hotel has a very nice Web Site, with beautifully photographed hotel rooms; unfortunately, they look nothing like the ACTUAL hotel room. Our room was sparsely furnished, and the furniture was ugly and outdated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the set up was totally weird. Not to mention, someone's leftovers were still in the mini fridge. The room definitely needed some feng shui. The place was actually a little creepy. Plus, regarding locations and food recommendations, the front desk was totally unhelpful. This place was also way too expensive: I would rather stay at the Motel 6. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
