Probably one of the greatest things I have ever done in my life. For a small fortune, you and 3 others can heliski with a guide until your hearts content - for a day. Full on untracked terrain, mostly at an elevation of about 13K, in the San Juan's between Telluride & Silverton. We lucked out and had a nearly perfect blue bird pow day. The only drawback was if you have less than the four required in the helicopter another will be added to your group. We had two others added, one was an older guy in his 50's and the other was an intermediate snowboarder. It all went pretty well for the first 3 runs, but as the day wore on they got bushwacked pretty quickly. If you've never skied deep powder before, I suggest you get a feel for it before hopping in a helicopter, it could make for a really long and exhausting day. But all in all it was unbelievable. I highly recommend if you have the means.
