I've been here a few times on weekdays and always have a good time. I like that it's in the Roosevelt hotel cause if you drink to much you can just get a room =). This place has more of a lounge feel than a club. It's dark and intimate with lots of tables. If you are a guy you will probably need a table to get in. The music is top 40 type of stuff, mostly hip hop and some vocal house. It's $20 to park in the structure across the street.

Located in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, this swanky lounge is no longer its hip self.  Like any Hollywood hotspot, this place once had a strict guest list and long lines.  However, this has changed. With newer lounges and clubs opening up nearby, Teddy's is no longer the cool kid in town.  Yet, Teddy's is still a beautiful lounge that still carries itself some major swag.  The bar area is dark and swanky. The people are beauitufl.  There are tables and leather couches that you no longer have to reserve to rest your dancing feet.  Drinks are stiff and are around $11.00 a pop.  The DJ plays Top 40 Hits on the weekends. Thursday nights are jazz night.

If you don't feel like waiting in line but one a fun night out in Hollywood, definitely visit this watering libation.

Teddy's is located in the historic Roosevelt, so it is a hotel bar and with that comes the typical hotel bar scene. As is expected, there's the ubiquitous top 40s tunes which don't go too well with the wine cellar like ambiance. But the trendy, generic music goes well with the typical Hollywood crowd. I feel that the historic venue is lost on them. Drinks are expensive, more so than other Hollywood bars, around $20.

It's a nice bar in a historic setting. It's one of those places where you take out of town guests, or go to just so that you can say that you've been. Otherwise, if you want to beat the nightlife cheese-fest that Teddy's has to offer, go there early(they open at $10 I think), have a drink or two, and move on to some place else. That way you can enjoy the decor, ambiance, and setting without the crowds or loud music.

UGH. Double UGH. That is how I feel about this place - for 2 reasons.

Came here for a friend's birthday and I was trying really hard to keep my skepticism at bay because we found street parking...on Hollywood...on a Saturday...out front...SCORE and I was stoked to wear my over the knee boots out, double score. But I knew to keep my expectations low because my experiences with trendy LA clubs in the past were bad and made me have this grudge. Wrong to judge every club like the rest, but well they've never changed my mind.

So here is why I give this place a double UGH...

    1) Me and my friend walk up to what we thought was the door because there wasn't a crazy line to point the way. Some British (?) biotch is rude from the beginning saying how do we expect to get in without being on the list. My friend and I are so confused because we've never been turned down before and we couldn't figure out why she was so rude when clearly the place was EMPTY at 10! Hello! Finally my friend came out to get us but not before the door lady lectured her about bringing too many friends. Um what? Dude, the place was empty! Not one table had a person. The only people there were about 15-20 people talking around the bar. Seriously the lecturing for this?

    2) I expected to hate this place and after the the rude door lady I just KNEW I'd hate it for sure. Well I was wrong. UGHHHHH. Boy I hate to be proved wrong. I don't know what it was that won me over, maybe the pretty crystal chandelier over the bar. Maybe the really nice girl bartenders. Maybe it was the AWESOME music the DJ was spinning. I mean when do you get to dance to the Beatles at a bar? And not just a little head nodding but full on dancing to Come Together. But I think the real kicker was the cute guy bartender over at the other bar who makes the awesome custom drinks. I walked up and said "I love mint, blackberries, and vodka...lots of vodka." And boy did he surprise me when he whipped up this amazing drink that was a kicker and so good. But no really, he put jalapeno in it!

So to sum up my night. I had a great time. Danced drank and hung with friends. But the place really only gets 3 stars because they really need to work on the door people. Every one of my friends that came in had something negative to say about the peeps outside. I mean really?

Ugh because the biotch outside and ugh because I hated that I liked the place. But it was well worth that glorious blackberry drink...thanks cute fedora guy!

**SWANKY LOUNGE WITH GOOD LOOKING PEEPS**

We didn't even want to deal with Boulevard 3, so we walked a few blocks and stumbled into Teddy's.

    LIKES:
    *Nice front people.
    *No attitude.
    *No cover.
    *Nice decor
    *Eye candy
    *Plenty of sitting area
    *Dance floor

    Wow.

Then we walked in and was blown away by the beauty of the bar, the chandeliers, the dim lighting, and the fabulous LA stylish eye candy.

    DISLIKES:
*Roaming coke heads (LA in a nut shell after midnight)
*DJ was not Samantha Ronson the night we visited, so the music was a bit whacked

Not a big space, intimate, but that was good for me.

Drinks were strong and tasty but heard they were expensive.

You could get better drinks at the Library Bar next door and bring them inside the club as well (See my review for the Library Bar).

    RECOMMEND.

I'm not a big fan of the super nice lounge/bar scene. Our friend put our names on the guest list so that made it easy to get in. Once inside, it's dark and looks classy, but I wasn't too stoked on the $12 drinks or the music being played. I shouldn't complain too much because we were celebrating a birthday and had a good time. Will I be back again though? Probably not...

Sad to say I could barely get in here, it was so busy and I got the feeling that this place is pretty exclusive.  I love the hotel. This place is way too trendy for my taste and not really worth all the headache of finding a parking spot. A quick walk in and a look around and I was outta there. I guess you need to be super beautiful in a short dress and heels with craps full of make-up to get any service. This place just confirms that The Roosevelt is awesome and the bars... well, I would rather drive around and look for a good local dive!

My friends were visiting me from Canada. I think it was a sunday night, not too crowded.  But the usual crowd was starting to gather.  It was then that my friends and I noticed that most peole being let in were caucasion with light hair (white).  So my ethnically mixed crowd of  4 girls and 2 guys decide to buy a table in order to get in.  Tat worked. BUT whenwe got in, we werentgiven a table, although several booths were available. we were sold "bar space".  Who does that? Shame on you Teddys and your promotors working the door. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This club is awesome, even if it is a little on the small side.  The bartender very friendly and not bad to look at too!  It is definitely more refined than your average Hollywood club with respect to the venue and the patrons.

They opened at 10:30P on a Saturday, so when we got there it was not that crowded yet. We didn't have any problems getting in and we didn't pay a cover, so maybe getting there early is key.  I enjoyed the music, hop-hop and some old school.  Very nice...good ass shaking music. There are some spots to sit, but most of the seating areas are reserved for table service.   I would check it out again.

super pretentious and hard to get in,  if your not pretty, dont know people, or your not sombody, then its almost impossible to get in.  Its almost laughable, but once you get in, the troubles sorta worth it.  the exclusivity weeds out alot, and makes it that much more interesting when your in.

Everytime im here, i have an awesome time.  Monday nights are my favorite and its the only time i attempt this place.  They always have pretty people, amazing music, sometimes live bands, great vibe, rubbing sholders with celebrities, its fun.  some people may hate on this place, because they do reject more than they let in.

lo lightening, small space, great music, pricey drinks, gorgeous people.  All what you would expect to experience in a Hollywood club.
The place was packed and we had no trouble getting in (probably because we're girls).  All of the staff we encountered here were incredibly friendly.  I'm a whiskey sour kind of girl and I felt like the drinks were pretty delic.  I plan on spending some more time here the next time I head down south

I love the atmosphere in this place. It's so dark and sexy. You feel like you are in a completely different country. The decor is modern mixed with antique vibes.... the chandeliers by the bar are awesome.

Samantha Ronson is the resident DJ, and seems to have a big following. I liked most of the music she played, the service at the tables, and with the bartenders was excellent.

Definitely a great spot to check out, get there early, I was there Monday night, at around 11, and within an hour it was really packed.

Do not be looking for a sign on the street- I don't think it even says Teddy's outside anywhere. Located inside the Roosevelt Hotel. It is a pretentious Hollywood bar, yet down to earth, sexy and sophisticated.
The music wasn't as good as I was expecting- a lot of average radio type stuff. However, the strong drinks, congruous bartenders, perfect lighting/atmosphere, and attractive crowd all made up for it!
Now, like some other reviews mentioned- it isn't just one of those places you can walk into- strict door . Either be on the guest list, have bottle service or be a good looking girl with friends. Sorry- don't forget- it still is Hollywood.

i've been to Teddy's a few times. WASTED.
how did my friends and i even get in all those times? beats me.
so- i finally went here last night SOBER-ish  w/ my BFF who was guest DJing.

i actually really like the Roosevelt Hotel. who doesn't love seeing the neon lights shining above you. it's kind of nostalgic to me. the place is always bustling with A-listers and cool peoples. i don't mind the celebrities, if anything... i've met many cool ones here. Teddy's is a real hot-spot. from Roosevelt's VIP's and the majorly-hot and famous people all make up the crowd here. i loves it. my BFF tells me this is where they shot the infamous, "i'm f*cking Ben Affleck" w/ Jimmy Kimmel. hilarious!

old hollywood vintage decor. i really love the design aesthetics of this place. i love the chic feel with a flavor of spanish. i'm a huge sucker for hollywood-glam... especially 1940's and 60's. this is the place where i can get my Marilyn Monroe on. the black leather chairs and seats are ultra sexy. i love the chandeliers that ascend from atop the bar... pure awesomeness.

what i really enjoyed about this place was that- they allowed me to do some work in their office on my laptop. i know... insane! i'm a workaholic... but i was impressed at how accommodating and polite they were about my needs. wow. you effin' rule!

This place is SOOOO HOLLYWOOD. *see pic*

We came here on a Tuesday night to see Chromeo spin some house/electro beats. The line was getting long at 9 pm, but since my GF knew the promoter, we walked right in. :)

The place inside is gorgeous, kinda like a cave/palace/Dracula's lair. It was pretty dark inside and there were lots of couch/lounge areas surrounding the bar.

We sat down and the waitress came around and took our drink order. This is the way to go guys. If you go to the bar and order drinks yourself, you will wait forever and a day to get served. They have the SLOWEST bartenders ever! OMG..

Music was pretty good, mostly house/electro, and then hip hop. Drinks were decently strong, I think i had 3 that night and I had a good buzz going on. They are about $12 each, typical for LA places.

My gf saw some guy she wanted to talk to, but when I flagged him down, he just said hi and then walked away. Either gay or unavailable. wtf. Good times, if you're into the Hollywood scene.

My GOD, I love this place. Went on a Friday night, and it was packed (clearly) with a verrrry strict door. But clearly, I know how to work around that (heyo!)

Once inside, the place was jammed full but full of people who were all having a BLAST. Seriously. My friend compared it to a raging high school dance rather than a bar, and the DJ, who I would LOVE to find out the name of, was hands down the best I've experienced in LA.

Nice sized, not too big, which always overwhelms me. Drinks are expensive. Duh.

Just being able to get in to this Hollywood hot-spot should warrant a 5 star rating, but that is not all this hop hang out has to offer, oh no.

Situated in the Roosevelt Hotel, it is frequented by some of the most beautiful, but damaged the city has to offer.  Last time I was here, I saw Mary Kate passing drugs, hot french band Justice, and got to watch The SpaceCowboy eat my buddy's burgers. Hop, indeed.

Plus the dj spins a pretty interesting mix of today's hits slyly synchronized with showtunes and tv theme songs.  Fun to dance to, fun to prance to.  I got two shots and it somehow cost only 11 bucks?  OK.  I'll take it.

Everyone is just all sexed up and ready to party, but in a hoppy-hippy type of way. Bird, bird, bird, man the bird is the word.

I know its hypocritical for me to say but i dont like the way LA clubs are. They never let people in unless; you're on the list, have a table, know someone important, or are pretty. Its stupid & very sad that LA has this rep because of this.

Its survival of the fittest. Retarded, i know but i guess that's what makes places like this good because its not crowded inside. I love that there is seating everywhere if you just want to sit there and talk or make out ;)

    Will be back.

Everyone loves Teddy's.  Probably because it has a more classic old-Hollywood feel to it; versus newer clubs/lounges like Opera or Area.  With that said, Teddy's is definitely a classic place.  It is inside of the beautiful Roosevelt Hotel.  It has a very dark, cave-like feeling to it.  It's seductive - which also leads to it not being a terribly exciting or upbeat place.

I don't recall the music being too wonderful, and not many people were dancing when I went.  I did, however, sit next to Adam Levine and the rest of Maroon 5 - which was a little bonus.  Good place to go for drinks and celeb sightings, but not for a thrilling night on the town.  Also - valet is the best option, but be prepared to shell out major dough.

Unmarked but well-guarded cavern nestled in the lobby of the Roosevelt hotel - I was expecting great things.  Or overhyped things.  It was a hybrid of both.

First of all, the process of getting in here is strange.  There was no line, but the bouncer was very "who do you know and why is she important" without missing a beat.  I am not sure who we knew or why she was important, but the 4 of us (2 guys and 2 ladies) slipped in within a minute.  It wasn't crowded inside (Sat night).

I had a custom drink made because the whole movie-lit, Indiana Jones breaks into someone famous' wine cellar decor had me jonesin for what my local bartendress in Berkeley calls a Diablo (tequila with chambourd).  So of course they gouged me. $20!  For a drink I had to tell the bartender how to make!  At least there was no cover.

They had a DJ, which was nice, but the top 40 hits were really lost on the over the top decor and importance-oozing vapid people.  The DJ should have been more original or someone famous.  Perhaps that's why  no one was dancing or seemed to be having any fun.  There was ONE guy who was totally amazing - obvious professional dancer.  A veritable happy-footed diamond in the rhinestone pile of gangly-limbed sparkle-dudded socialites.

This is definitely a unique spot and worth a visit.  Stop in, order a water, look at the important people, and then find some place more fun.

If I could give this "club" NO STARS, then I would.

Basically, they wouldn't let (4) of us in at first, not until they noticed that they had just let in one of our other friends; and when we all walked in, there were just (3) other people in the bar. Just (3)!!!! Practically empty inside. Really insulting.

And no, none of us are fugly.

    Background:
    - We got to the "club" around 10-10:30pm for a friend's birthday party, where she said she had a table reserved. We arrived ahead of the birthday girl.
    - I walked up to the front with (3) friends (of Asian, and Mexican, descent). We gave our friend's name, and they said she didn't have a table. We said we would call our friend, and they stood there watching us make phone calls.
    - No line at all; no one was even waiting behind us, but they wouldn't let us in, they just watched us. So we decided to wait at one of the other bars in the hotel for the birthday girl.
    - A few minutes later, two of our other friends (of Anglo descent) calls us and asks where we are because they're waiting inside the "club."
    - We're surprised.
    - So, I meet my friend at the front, and the staff working the door sees us talking, and I explain to my friend that they won't let us in.
    - She says it's empty inside, and then all of a sudden, the staff says the (4) of us can now come into the "club."
    - Once inside, we find out that it is really empty! There are (3) people sitting at a table.
    - Also, we find out that our friend didn't have a hard time getting in at all. She even told the staff at the front the same thing - my friend has a table for her birthday. They tell her she doesn't. So she says to them, let me call her. And they say, no need, just come on in.

We're NEVER coming back. And we're going to recommend the same to all of our friends.

Teddy's is perfectly LA which means it's kind of overrated.

Yea, it's pretty nice inside (if you really care about the million-dollar chandelier dripping in expensive glass) but I don't know, I spent a lot of money on a whiskey on the rocks that I guess I should have had at home. I also don't like that you have to walk out of the lounge to go to the rest room. The glare of light is quite unbearable when you're steeping in darkness for so long.

    Door girls are cute though.

Glad to finally get this off my chest. Years later..

So I found out today that not just anyone can get into Teddy's, its a place for the elite and socialites of Los Angeles. Well I've only lived here for 3 days and I got in just fine! All you have to do is be drunk enough to follow a group of girls going in through the velvet rope. Like a glove.

So we get in, there are celebs and hipsters and hotties and everything you could possibly want in a fun bar, but here's the catch: NO ONE WAS HAVING FUN. Why don't people in this town talk to other people? They just stare at everyone else sizing them up. So we just walked around and tried to talk to all of the mean people in there.

Anyway, I guess about 1 am people got drunk to enough to make an effort and started dancing, and the music/DJ was freaking fantastic. Turns out good times CAN actually be had there. I guess the fact that it was fluke for us to get in there in the first place made the night all worth it.

Great decor, expensive drinks, and mean people... this place is alright by me. But just alright.

Here is my suggestion for when you are spending a night in Teddy's - take a break and head around the back of The Roosevelt to the Tropicana Bar. It's odd- I had no expectations of the Tropicana and loved it - it's mellow and fun - and Teddy's? Well, we had made sure that we would make it past the velvet rope - thanks to a slightly besotted Tropicana barman who escorted us through - but did it match my high expectations? Possibly not.

Its still fun, very busy, and most definitely the place to be for the too cool for school Hollywood pack - the music was great, but it is definitely a cliquey kind of crowd, and while the drinks were potent, so was the expense. Somehow the cocktails at the Tropicana seemed to come to less then the ones at Teddy's. I think my JD and Coke was $18! Still, I had a great time, and even if it isn't really your scene, the careworn glamour and decadence of The Roosevelt hotel is something that you have to experience if you are in the neighbourhood.

The door policy is true. You won't get in without the secret password. Luckily I met a guy at Tropicana last night that knew the girl DJing here so we got in with no problem. Note that men must be wearing a necktie.

We got here late, probably around 1 or 1:30. Very hip but laid back crowd.  You know those places that are impossible to get into but then you get inside and it's like why? Well this place is the opposite. Great decor (think old Hollywood chandeliers) with a center black leather bar. Que chic. Great chill vibe. It's small without being too small. There are roomy couch/table areas to sit and chat.

What really put this place over the top for me was the live jazz band playing. They were amazing. Singer/piano player, trumpet, drums, guitar and 2 saxophone players, one of which was the uberfine Aaron West. I think I'm in love!

They stopped the alcohol at 2 but the party kept on going. I ducked out around 2:45 and it wasn't winding down at all.

If you can swing the entrance, definitely check this place out.

i had so much fun at Teddy's. It has dark lighting. Has that sexual appeal. Pricey, exclusive, classy and fun. I was there last friday and I had a blast. There is a smoking area on the side so it works out for smokers/non smokers. I very much enjoyed the scene.
It is not a crazy club. It has a very nice lounge feeling. More mature than a regular club with newly 21 year olds. thank god.

We came to Teddy's last night as a last option...
Foxtail sucked, and every other club were so packed, it was not even worth trying to stand in line.
Stopped by Hooters, had a quick drink, and then we went down to Teddy's.
We knew it was a good idea the moment we found the door. Brody Jenner and Doug from "The Hills" standing right outside hanging out by the door.
My friend almost had a heart attack....
The place was pretty and we knew we were in Hollywood the moment Amanda Bynes and Brody's playmate girlfriend walked passed us....
The place was very pretty, the decor is amazing, but it gets one star taken away because when somebody charges me 14 dollars for a glass of wine.... really???????
    Too Hollywood for me.....

Cue up typical yelp story about how its hard to get in unless you know someone. Then mention how there are some skanks and a couple dbags. Then mention how a middle school dance DJ could have gotten more people on the dance floor. Dont forget tthe paparazzi trolling the side door.
There you have it, a yelp review of a hollywood hotspot.

I would rate it less if I spent money, and If my homie didnt run the door.
Speaking of the door, they do a good job keeping the breezy count high, and the dbag count low, but WTF, I saw a guy in there wearing cargo shorts. I would expect mondays to be higher end crowd.
I'de go back for the eye candy and free booze, as long as theres a better DJ.

Being not the 1st time partying in so. Cal. and as a S.F. native, Teddy's was not a bad place to party.  The decor was definitely nice but maybe because we went during Cochella weekend the people in attendance were a little dull.  Luckily, I was with great friends and drank too much champange with them.  We danced the night away, cluing me into liking the music they played that night.

Overall, a fun experience.  Don't let the Lohan fiasco deter you from checking it out.

I used to be a regular for the Thusday Night Jazz Jam, which was SPONSORED by HENNESEY!  That meant free Henny Cocktails til Midnite.  In its infancy it was truly a hot spot.  It was the perfect blend of some of LA's Best Players (a couple of them friends of mine), great decor and ambiance, and beautiful young girlies who thought (or wanted to pretend) they knew about jazz.  They used to require suits and ties.  That soon faded to ties and anything funky, which finally became uhhhh just try and dress slick.

It still brings in the ladies and a crowd, but it isn't as much stars slipping in the back.  It's more the younger, more Hollywood version of the Edison crowd (which does not necessarily make it better in any way shape or form).  You can still expect to hear really cool players do their thing, and be prepared to hear loooong jams.  There is a little musician politics, as singers tend to light up the room, but they make the musicians a little jealous, thus getting them less stage time.

The decor is still really art deco meets noveau funky, with hinits of Mediterranean architecture and styling.  You don't hear as many rumors of the Lindsay Lohan's wreaking havoc since Amanda Demme went away, but I have been there on nights Prince was rumored to have snuck in quietly to one of the rear booths, but no one was able to confirm.

Still a worthwhile place to be, but it will never be what it once was.

A glance at my other reviews will probably show that I'm not really all about the Hollywood scene.  So, when my friend was having a small soiree at Teddy's I got nervous.  Was there a line (and was I going to have to stand in it all alone?)  Was there a ridiculous cover charge?  Was I going to feel like an outcast because I'm not primped like most of the rest of the Hollywood crowd? (Yeah I'm a little insecure)

Anyway, I went out and had an AMAZING time!  I went for Thursday jazz nights and I was impressed.  The door girl and guy were really nice and I walked right in.  In fact, every staff member I encountered was really friendly and not at all snooty.  We even snuck seats in the "reserved" section and no one told us to move which was nice.  I hate areas "reserved" for nobody.

Yes, the drinks are expensive, but they're strong too.  I only had one and I was sipping on it for a while.

Finally, despite my initial worries about it being too schmoozy, the crowd was pretty cool.  I really like that they require dresses and ties - the guys were looking sharp and I was definitely a fan.  There were still, unfortunately, the too-drunk girls knocking over glasses and spilling their wine on each other.  I guess you can't really escape that, but Teddy's is definitely my pick for a place to go when I want to get all fancy and hear some great music.

I like Teddy's because it has such an old school feel to it.  Lounge/bar that's set up with a more mature feel as opposed to glitz and glam.

Came here for a show on a Tuesday night and was glad it wasn't packed like crazy...still had room to walk, dance, and be damn close to the performing stage.  We got here a little before 11 with a long line out the door, but was lucky enough to walk in after 5 or 10 minutes thanks to a mad hook up.

Drinks are priceeeyy!  But that's what you'd expect at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.  And, they were made pretty stiff, so I was a happy camper.  However, the ultimate downside is the insane SLOWNESS that is the bartender.  The bar area wasn't huge, but definitely needed more than just 3 bartenders.  That was probably my only complaint of the evening.

Back entrance serves as an outside patio.  Kinda random and expected a little better, but whatever, you're just smoking a cigarette or getting some air so who needs a chair right?

No sightings...or at least I wasn't on the lookout for em.  Too bad , I was hoping to see a young celeb doing a line too.  hah

i just came home after being dragged to this club by friends visiting from manhattan. it is the first time i have entered a club since i moved to LA, and spending 45 minutes here reminded me why.

the door was easy enough, though made obnoxious since apparently the woman running it is the only one who can give the final go ahead to let you in. i was annoyed because half our group arrived before us and was already inside, so clearly the name we had was legit. bleh whatever, one extra star since she let us in despite this faux confusion. at least she wasn't a bitch.

the rest of this experience was similar to a cheap, tight dress: short, full of skank, and looks more fun than it actually is to get into. and just in case you were wondering, there were plenty of cheap, tight dresses here. my new york friends all joked that their hemlines were 5 inches too long.  music sucked. the djs were two dudes in paisley suits who kept high fiving one another over their hipster c-list music choices. i wanted to advise them that when no one is dancing at 1 AM when everyone is supposed to be drunk, it's probably a good sign that your spinning shitty stuff. oh did i say spinning? i meant clicking the wrong songs on your mac. and single ladies, good luck finding a man in this crowd. although the one falling asleep at his table looked like a catch. or maybe the one drinking straight from the bottle at ours. your pick.

good riddance teddy's and the rest of the LA club scene that i hope never to discover. i was day dreaming about seven grand the whole time that i was here.

Well if you are young and want to be scene then go to Teddy's in the Roosevelt hotel. It is a total scene. It is very dark and VERY crowded. But like I said if you want to be scene by the Hollywood elite then go here and just deal with it. I love it

i am not in the in crowd so teddy's door used to intimidate the hell out of me. thankfully i have really cool friends who like taking me places on the off chance that i might actually say something funny.

anywho i feel like you need a secret password for this place and and the password constantly changes at least until you get to know the promoters and then there is no password.

its beautiful inside the stone arches inside remind me of a club in barcelona that i used to go to. the bartenders are friendly and the music is good and its always a really fun crowd.

coming here remindinds me of the old LA saying "it's not about what you know, it's about who you know".

as the other reviews state, Teddy's has a pretty strict door policy. either your friends are hot, you're on the guest list, or you drop a name (if you're lucky) to get it. i just happen to be attractive and have pretty friends. bam. easy entry.

As your typical pretentious Hollywood bar goes, the scene here is "oh so Hollywood". VERY dimly lit, a beautiful crowd and two out of every three girls is carrying a swarovski crystal-studded iPhone. blah.

drinks were fairly strong, but overpriced for their punch. This is Hollywood though, and I have to accept that. But for the most part, Teddy's is a good time.
