To start, basically EVERYTHING was under $100 and still very cute! The girl working there was really helpful..I ended up finding a dress for under $50 and it was missing a button. The girl working volunteered to sew it on for me to save me the hassle. This was the first time I had gone shopping for myself since having a baby in early January and the girl did a great job in picking out clothing for my body type. I live in Manhattan but Teddy is so worth the trip.

-1 star because I like the selection in the Park Slope location waaaay better.
-1 star because the blonde girl with glasses on was super unfriendly. Upon walking in the store, she made eye contact with me but didn't say anything, and proceeded to look at me from top to bottom. -

Great place, some unique pieces, good prices but the staff seem so bored to be there.

Teddy just seemed to pop up out of nowhere the other day. I walked by on a Monday, and the space was a realty agency, then on Thursday it was Teddy, a new clothing & accessories store on Court St. in Cobble Hill. I was impressed. A little confused, but impressed.
Being a girl, of course I had to go in. Whoever buys for that shop has nice taste--it's all pretty casual stuff with a sexy, downtown vibe. Very Carrie from Sex in the City. Cute clutches, bags, and jewelry. A bit pricey in spots (I don't think a casual cotton dress is well-described as "affordable" at $100-$150, but other reviewers may disagree). I ended up looking online for one of those $150 dresses that I took a fancy to there that I couldn't manage to buy at the moment. Found it online for $50. I guess I just blew up Teddy's spot. How Sex in the City of me.
See you at the next Yelp event in my new dress.Listed in: Brooklyn's Best Dressed Babes

I saw perhaps one thing in there that was worth looking at, but the silhouette was all wrong for the style.
They have a better jewelry line than their clothing selection. -

I walked in thinking the clothing would be super expensive and below average. But turns out, the clothing here is only a little bit expensive! And all the designs are a little above average, so three initial stars for getting what you pay for!
I'm unfortunately deducting a full star because the woman who was working there was maybe the biggest bitch I've ever had to deal with. I actually felt so rotten after I left, that i don't think I'll ever again step foot inside, despite the pretty and affordable clothes. I don't want to go into a rant, but here's a quick, but telling, example of how rude she was...
I was a little confused about how to pay for my items, so I went up to her and (really nicely!) said "excuse me, do you know how I go about paying for this?". She responded with "Um, okay.. you have to tell me. I can't read minds!" ... This was followed by her rolling her eyes at least twice. Two additional eye rolls later, she rang up my stuff... It was a combination of what she said and how she said it, that just made me feel like trash. I understand no one wants to be working on a nice Sunday afternoon, but hello! no customer wants to be treated this way!
If you can stand really rude people (or if you're twisted and actually enjoy their company), you might actually like this place. Otherwise, don't even bother.Listed in: Do you think I just wake up…

I popped into the Park Slope Teddy one day over the weekend when a dress in the window caught my eye. I'd never been in before, but the emerald green and plunging neckline beckoned and before you knew it, I was gabbing with the girls about the necessity of owning a black clutch, our mutual love of patent leather pumps, and whether or not a red was appropriate wedding-guest attire (we decided on yes).
Cute stuff, reasonably priced (I DO happen to think that a cotton dress that is well-sewn and fits well is worth $100 or more.) The jewelry was pretty fabulous too, i'm just waiting for my next paycheck to fully deplete their stock. -

I was pretty shocked when I looked at the price tags at Teddy - they were WAY cheaper than I was expecting.
Teddy has a cute, but small assortment of dresses, blouses, skirts and jackets. They also have fabulous accessories. The quality does vary, but the pricing reflects that. A lot of the clothes are cotton, which can look good depending on what it is and does lower the price. Many of the items are under $100.
FYI, Teddy carries many items by BB Dakota, Tulle, and Tullette. -

Are you sick of going into cute little boutiques only to find nothing but $400 dresses? Teddy is the cure for that particular fashion disease. This brand-new boutique has racks of really cute, relatively affordable dresses (many around $100) and tops (one cute teal jersey-and-sweaterish combo in the popular "pregnant" style was only $40). Also cute shoes, jewelry, and bags that look way more expensive than they are. Totally your go-to place if you've got any weddings or parties coming up. It's almost not even necessary to go to Manhattan anymore. Except for that pesky "work" thing.

This is a great little shop with fun clothes and accessories at very reasonable prices by anyone's standards. It's on the younger/edgier side but both my mom (67) and I (39) were able to find tops and some jewelry, which is fairly unusual. I especially liked the scarves and jewelry. I thought the staff was super friendly and pleasant - my 11 year old son was welcomed and allowed to use one of the dressing rooms as his private hideout to play videogames....

Teddy is a great little boutique. Cute little summer dresses and tops are aplenty in this store. GREAT bags and jewelery too. Great prices too considering that they sell the same clothes that their many boutique neighbors do at a fraction of what the other stores charge. And, they also have HUGE sales ( 75 % off!) and i always find something totally adorable when I sift through the sales rack in the back. I never leave this place empty-handed. Go Teddy!

Sure, Teddy's is a bit pricier than I'd like, but I find it to be much more reasonable than other boutiques in the area. The clothes are cute, the saleswoman was friendly, and the price was almost right. I don't see what others are complaining about.

Teddy definitely has some cute things at affordable price points, but I personally don't think I would do a ton of shopping here as the prices are low since many of the garments are made of synthetics (not to be a snob, just personal preference). I will say that their window displays always have cute dresses with cute silhouettes, but be sure to try them on as their designers vary a lot in sizing and cut.

Me and my girlfriend went into Teddy's boutique to kill some time before going into Joya for dinner last summer...I immediately fell in luv with Teddy because I found a too die for purple curve-hugging dress for my birthday dinner!!... I also bought some gold bangles, and a beautiful fillagree gold earrings!!...The salesperson was very helpful, and they have a great selection of accessories (clutches, jewelry), tops, dresses, etc... Check it out!!...:)

I would wear pretty much everything in this store. Unique and cute stuff that is in my price range - perfect! The buyer has a great eye and most of the stuff is in my size (dress size 2). I find a lot of boutiques expect you to get their things tailored, which pads the price tag.

bleah. i have often wanted to pop into teddy but have always been with my dude who refuses to stop and wait for me or to come in while i browse. today, i was on my own and on a shopping mission so in i went. the salesgirls were on the snippier, pissier side, but i was in high spirits so browse i did. i was extremely underwhelmed by the quality of the pieces they have. their markup must be incredible (i worked in a boutique similar to this back in my cambridge days so i kinda know the deal) because their frocks were shoddily constructed for the most part and looked it but were still generally a hundred bucks plus. i tried on a great-looking swing coat with two gigantic black jewel closures even though it was outrageously priced at $255-it was too damn cute not to slip into. well, it looked pretty bad on. the fit was fine, but you could tell it wasn't made well at all. they did have some very cute bags and clutches but 60 bucks for a teeny gray clutch that wasn't even leather? ehh, methinks i can do better elsewhere. thanks, but no thanks, teddy.
