I'd give Teavolve 3.5 stars but bumped up to 4 because of the selection of teas and variations they offer.

I like the space.  Pretty open with lots of lighting.  Seems like a good place to hang out there to study for a bit or meet up with friends for coffee.  Had brunch there and got the smoked salmon omelet.  It was ok but a little too expensive for the food that I got ($13 for that omelet, omg!).  I had an Earl Grey latte.  It was an interesting drink but not crazy about it.  My friend got Spiced Chai latte, and that was really good!

Will probably go there during the night time when there is live music (jazz music or open mic) and supposedly more lounge-like.

We've been heading to Teavolve for brunch after taking in an early movie at the Landmark. It is an easy walk and the parking is plentiful.

While I am not a tea drinker, I do enjoy their tea infused drinks that aren't so "tea-y" and my husband loves a pot of their smoked tea. FYI: it is cheaper to buy a pot than to buy more than one cup of tea so if you think you might want a refill, go ahead and buy the pot.

While I wouldn't say it is is an inexpensive place, the prices for brunch are average and the menu is diverse enough that it is easy to find something to eat. I like the egg benedict and you can add things to it like avocado and smoked salmon which adds variety. Their bagels and lox meal is generous but the bagel isn't the best-a little more roll than bagel.

My major complaint is that the service is very uneven. Once our waitress disappeared off the floor for over 30 minutes and when we finally asked at the counter for her, they had no idea who we were talking about despite there being only one waitress who looked remotely like her working. When she came out, she said she was "in the back, working on something". Why she would do that when she had a table is beyond me.

At another visit our waitress just let us languish for nearly 45 minutes while we wanted drink refills and then finally giving up on that, the check. She didn't check in with us once after we got our food (which was delivered by someone else) despite taking orders from surrounding tables.

While the place is casual, the food is a bit expensive-too expensive to be totally ignored by the waitstaff. It takes away from what could be a perfectly pleasant brunch.

I noticed the girl behind the counter is awfully flirty and very talkative for someone peddling muffins in a seemingly busy place.  Her tattoos and bright red hair were noteworthy.
The atmosphere is cool there, but the owners seem to "never be there" even though I have been there and asked for them multiple times.  I did some research and now know that the lady who is sitting on her laptop all day is the evasive owner.  Not too friendly, I say.  I merely wanted to do recommend a live act for them for their performance nights, but I will save them for a more deserving venue.
The 3rd or 4th visit I talked extensively with bakery girl.
I asked if she like this place and had mentioned (under her breath) that the owners are having trouble paying employees and that some of their payroll checks were bouncing.  She also confided that some employees were making well below minimum wage there.  YIKES!  Am I supposed to save her from all of this?  lol

During a time of economic hardships for everyone, there should be accountability from the top-down, not the other way around.  Call me an underdog rooter, I guess.  I just think this poor gal shouldn't be stepped on like she is.

I would recommend other places, for business ethics alone...

Was in B'more for a girl's weekend and after facing an hour to 1  1/2 hour wait at Blue Moon Café (the place we really wanted to have b'fast/lunch) we made our way back to Teavolve, which was near our hotel.  Seemed like it'd be a casual little spot to get a little something to eat; looked cute and the dishes we saw outside on tables seemed like it would suffice.

The space seemed wonderful, very bright, modern and airy and didn't seem too crowded or busy.

The host was very nice and said there'd be about a 10 minute wait.  30 minutes later we were finally seated, he apologized and dropped us off to our waitress.

It took forever for the waitress to arrive and to take orders and it took at least another half hour to get our food - 3 paninis and an egg sandwich.  I've had more impressive egg sandwiches at Starbucks or McDonalds.  The menu was very impressive with some really interesting sandwiches, salads, teas and drinks, but the attitude of the staff was obnoxious.

It felt like we'd been hijacked and held hostage in this place for the hour and a half that we were stuck in there.  To top it all off there was a wacky jazz trio playing random covers of Wham and other '80s hits...a little odd for lunch on a Saturday.

I'm still a fan (hence the 4 stars)..but have to add a mild complaint. Or maybe just comment?

Ok who am I kidding, it's a COMPLAINT.

I completely and totally understand that it's a little frustrating to have students come to your restaurant and want to study. I know it means less money because you can't turn over the table, and (some) students tend to be cheap.

But, we're also loyal. My roommates come almost every week and always end up ordering a lot of food over the course of several hours.

I found it really rude today when the hostess told us that we might have to leave after a while because they need tables. And she did not say it apologetically. It was actually rather combative.

They do not have any signs posted saying there is a time limit, and they have free wireless (which attracts the students). If you don't have a policy, then you darn well better be polite to your customers.

Also, despite the fact that they 'needed' the table, I have never once seen a line form at the door with people waiting. So needing the table for theoretical customers seems stupid, when you have current customers ready and willing to spend money (albeit slowly).

Sorry to rant, but I am a good customer and expect to be treated nicely and respectfully however you feel about my study habits.

I really wanted to like this place - especially since other Eden food establishments have been quite dreadful. From the moment we were seated, the problems began. It took our waitress 15-20 minutes to bring us menus, then another 15 minutes for water...

Looking around during the busy brunch, it's easy to see this is a restaurant where each person who works there is concerned primarily with only doing what their job title says and nothing more (with the exception of the dude that walked around refilling water between busing tables..) There was no dynamic between the host, waitress, waiter or kitchen. No one seemed to have any ability to read the pulse of the restaurant - and they were clearly busy and barely able to handle it.

I had the Belgian Waffle and my wife had the Salmon/Bagel plate. Instead of tea, we both had coffee beverages. The coffee was quite good, even though it took abnormally long for the waitress to deliver it to our table. (Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the waitress, she was working quite hard, but clearly management hadn't prepared for a busy Saturday brunch- and no one else working the floor was "stepping up to the plate" to help..).

The bagel was GODAWFUL. It literally tasted like a Burger King Whopper™ Bun with a hole cut out of the center. (What is the deal with Baltimore and bagels? We aren't that far from NY, yet the bagels are widespread BAD.) This one was the worst one I have ever had at a restaurant. In fact, I may have had freezerburned Lenders™ bagels that were more tasty during a camping vacation in South Dakota!
The Cream cheese was advertised as "fresh made scallion cream cheese" - not so. It was old Philly's best with nary a scallion to be found. And don't get me started  on the tomato. Here we are in the middle of August, next to Harboreast, where there's a farmers market every weekend... and the tomato that came with this plate was HARD AS AN APPLE and as green as a granny smith in the center.. So disappointing. My Belgian waffle was pretty good, but that's a dish even Waffle House would have a hard time screwing up...

The table next to ours was chronically neglected by the wait staff. When food was finally brought to their table, there was no silverware, and the waiter did not bother to notice or return to the table after dropping off the already cold omelets. My wife and I had two extras at our four-top so we offered them up.

And the kicker? No toilet paper in the bathroom. A place that serves coffee, espresso and tea with NO TOILET PAPER IN THE BATHROOM?!?! This place needs to get its act together..

I did not get really fired up about this place. It was not bad but I am not dying to go back. The cinnamon chai latte I had was ok but nothing amazing. I think it was something about how open the space was that bothered me. I usually prefer places that have more of a warm feeling. I will give it another shot though.

the chicken salad sandwich on a crossaint is to die for! in fact, EVERYTHING I have tried so far is outstanding. pot of tea is 3, sandwich is 6-8, so less than 10 gets you quality/fresh food and drink. tons of space to spread out, free wifi, music on sat nights and sun nights. this is definitely a new baltimore favorite. anyone iving this place a bad review must be crazy! hope it stays a favorite of the locals just a bit longer.

I really like the Harbor East area.  A lot of establishments there have a refreshing new feel to them, and Teavolve is definitely refreshing.  Offering an assortment of teas, coffees, brunch on weekends (I recommend the breakfast panini), and free wi-fi, Teavolve is a great place to relax or get some work done.  If I lived closer, I would probably be there all the time.  As it stands, I like to stop by if I'm ever in the area.  It's conveniently located a couple blocks from Spa Sante; there's no better place to continue your day of relaxation then Teavolve!

If you're a twitterer, you can follow them at http://www.twitter.com....  They're constantly 'tweeting' about new menu items.

The teas were yummy, and they definitely offer drinks and treats that I've never found anywhere else in Baltimore so far. PLUS, when you order a pot of tea, they bring you a tealight candle so your teapot stays nice and warm AND a small dish for you to take your tea leaves out for people like me who don't like their teas too strong!

Four stars for the food and a menu of teas and drinks that I'm definitely looking forward to sampling but minus one for not being as student friendly as teahouses, in my opinion, should be. I mean, really...you don't order a pot of tea to eat and leave in less than 45 minutes. People are allowed to have their brunch and chat and sip on mimosas for hours - why put the sitting limit just on the students?

I'll be back, of course, but I'll just have to plan ahead and make sure all my notes are printed and I have things to study just in case I'm not seated near an outlet.

The organic lime blossom green tea is a must try!

I love this place b/c I prefer a good cup of tea over coffee anyday..unless ir's cuban or french coffee.  It's not pricey and they have a long list of different types of teas to try + they have wireless so, I can get work done or surf the net. It is a cute place to take friends to catch up or your significant other or a date.

We adore this place.  It's so quaint - from the atmosphere to the food.  The owners are super friendly and give you a great mom/pop feel in a very modern decor.

A nice, spacious teahouse/cafe with a laidback, mildly hip vibe.  I came in with two friends for a late lunch of paninis and tea drinks and overall, I thought it was a great place.

On the menu, the paninis sound awesome, and we appreciated that there were lots of vegetarian options (grilled eggplant; portobello; "adult grilled cheese"; caprese).  After we ate them, though, we all agreed that they were only decent - not mind-blowing, not bad, but also not that filling, either.  If the paninis were a little bigger, or came with a side salad and pickle instead of the handful of Sun Chips, it would be a more satisfying lunch.

But if you're coming here just for beverages and aren't that hungry, you are probably going to be way more satisfied.  Between the three of us, we had an almond bubble tea, spiced chai latte, and thai iced tea -- and all three of them were excellent.  This was probably one of the best chai lattes I've had in Baltimore, and same actually goes for the bubble tea -- the texture of the pearls was perfect (and always the most critical, hard-to-nail part.)

Table service is very friendly and reasonably prompt, though it's not the fastest place in the world.  The decor was inoffensive, although maybe erring a tiny bit on the side of trying too hard to be tastefully hip.  There were a couple magazines floating around to flip through, and the website says they have WiFi though I didn't try it.

Excellent new tea room in Fells Point, serving hot pots of tea and deliciously simple cafe sandwiches and scrumptious sweets.

The only failing is the nondescript external decor, making it hard to find.  We drove right past it -- twice -- when trying to find it.

This place seems a little overrated.  It's not a bad place per se. The food is OK (but just average) and the tea is OK. The waitstaff is a little spacey, and the place feels kind of unusual, like it's trying way too hard to be hip but not succeeding very well. Last time I was there I think they were playing trance music - at a tea place.

I basically agree with everything the other reviewers have said. I've been going to this place since it opened, and I have never been disappointed, whether I attended "Be Free Friday" or just stopped by to have some tea. Oh, and their Bubble Tea is PERFECT! You can actually taste the tea instead of it being entirely too sweet like a lot of places. It's refreshing on a hot summer day.

Teavolve is a relaxing teashop with an industrial, yet organic, decor.  They have a huge selection of teas, and the coffees are very good.  All are less expensive than Starbucks.  The food is innovative and tasty.  A great place to come for brunch with a date, or to hang out alone.   The desserts are good too.

Teavolve is a great restaurant/cafe.  It's within walking distance of the Harbor.  Sunday brunch is pretty busy for a first visit the service was "asi asi" waits were longer than expected.  They have a wide selection of teas from white to black and infused rooibos as well as tea lattes and bubble tea.  The atmosphere and artwork is calming and hip.  They also have meals and drinks which are reasonably priced in the 5-15 dollar range.  I had the Nutella Grill which is a croissant with nutella banana and almonds along with whipped cream and a side of fruit.  Presentation is excellent, pots of tea are in the 5 dollar range.  Really a place I wouldn't miss even if I were just visiting Baltimore since it is so close to touristy spots.  I will definitely be returning to try other items.  Not especially conducive to working (tables are a little small) but they will accommodate (not many power outlets).

this hip tea cafe has a great atmosphere, includes wifi and is great for studying along with a delicious menu that includes grilled mozzarella cheese sandwiches and hummus with vegetables as an appetizer. in addition to their wide range of tea selection, they also have a respectable stab at the asian drink "boba" which is also known as pearl tapiocas in tea.

Love this place!  Great tea and nice light fare.  Well worth attending some of their special events.  The "Be Free Fridays" spoken word/poetry nights are fantastic - go early to secure seating as these events are packed!  Also had a wonderful tea and chocolate pairing event once that was educational and very cool - well thought out pairings where each brought out the intense character of the other - very much like great pairings of wine and food.  The biggest downside is that parking, as everywhere else in Fell's Point, can be a challenge.
