My girlfriend surprised me by taking me here for my birthday.  I LOVED IT!  The food was very good, even considering the fact that they have to make it in mass quantity to serve so many people.  The show was wonderful!  The performers are amazing professionals.

The only real complaint that I have is that there are some tables in the tent that do not have a view of the stage, and you miss some things.  Also, I think with the amount you spend on tickets, that parking should be included.

Can't wait to go back!

We went for my husband's company holiday party... so starting out with a night out with no kids was a definite bonus. Then add, the great company of friends, an over the top atmosphere and FABULOUS food... and you can't go wrong. Granted, we didn't have to pay for this experience (only in blood, sweat and tears)... but I would fork out the money to do this again.

The performers were great, the costumes flamboyant... and the show itself was very entertaining. We sat at a round table toward the outside and could see just about everything.

I ordered the Char and my husband ordered the Beef Tenderloin. The Char was unbelievably moist and my husband's beef literally melted in your mouth - so good! The five course meal was nicely spaced and you never felt hungry... or overly full.

Can't wait to go again... perhaps with some out of town guests.

Wow. This place is amazing! Pure entertainment the entire time. I have to say the food was only mediocre... but if I am having this much fun already, they could serve me plain oatmeal and I'd still want to go again and again.

Singing, dancing, acting, acrobatics, and comedy. PLUS a 5 course meal. This is totally my bag.

Tip: Book one of the expensive tables in front of the center stage. It's worth it.

SIX to SEVEN STARS!

This is the third TZ show I've seen. The first two in San Francisco, California. I made a special stop over in Seattle just to see this show. That's how good this show venue is for me. We saw Bottega Zinzanni.

The night me and my date Caitee went (9/24/09), we somehow snagged the catwalk seats the day before the performance. They were THE BEST seats! Caitee had never been before and she loved every minute of it. That and she got pulled up to do Chef Cesar's (Frank) soup bit. Oh the HIGH-larity that ensued... she's still raving about it.

The show is mostly all improv except for the actual performance acts. Chef Cesar's improv is so good you'll wet yourself if you're not careful. And the performance acts are simply FANTASTIC! The Vertical Tango is simply awe inspiring, Ming & Rui of Cirque du Soleil Dralion fame are amazing, Vita is... "WOW", Les Petits Freres are hilarious, and the singers Liliane and Rachel are truly incredible.

The dinner was pretty good too. If you like wine, you might want to bring your own. There is a corkage fee, but worth it in the end because you know you brought your own good wine. Between Caitee and myself we finished off 1 bottle each.

If you have never been, GO! It is definitely worth saving up for, especially the inner ring seats. Otherwise you might not get to have the fun of being pulled up onstage. And definitely take the time to dress up however outlandish and fabulous you want. Because? You can!

Great source of dinner and entertainment! Comes with a 5 course meal. Some meals flavorful than others...but still good. The entertainment was wonderful. The production does a great job combining both entertainment with the dinner. The servers have little roles here and there before each meal which is something I've never seen before! Only downfall is the large bill at the end! You get so caught up with eating and watching and ordering drinks, next thing you know your bill is sky rocket! LOL Its okay..it was well worth it. Id come again for a special occasion. And every table is a good table! Its a very intimate venue so having a great view is not an issue. oH, and if you're lucky...you'll get picked to participate with part of their skits! LOL (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE!)

For a unique night out that combines dining, drinking dancing and entertainment- this is a great alternative to the "usual"!!!
A girlfriend took me here for the "Under the Gypsy Moon" themed show.  It was my first time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Let's start with the set up, the theater itself is beautiful. It's like a cross between an elaborate circus tent and an opium den! There's a great little gift shop right when you walk in. If you failed to dress up (shame on you) you can pick up some bling or boas to spice up your look. Drinking in the bar area is really fun before the show. Come a bit early and knock back a cocktail or two. The cute bartenders are a plus!
Let's start with the good:
The costumes were gorgeous and the acts were mind- blowing. You can't go wrong with a show that incorporates singing, acting and acrobatics. I felt like everyone was really giving their all to the performances. The sound was really good too. Cocktails were smashing (pricey, but smashing.) The bartenders and waiters were all fabulous. Although the show is long, everything moves at a smooth, fast pace and the story really grabs your interest. Oh, and how could I forget the AMAZING AERIEL act! It was one of the sexiest things I've ever seen in my life.
The bad:
Although it was truly funny, I feel like there was way too much audience participation. I also thought they went overboard making serving the food a part of the act. I don't need someone throwing my dessert plate, it just gets a little stupid. The food itself was definitely not worth the price of admission. The first two courses I found inedible. Thankfully the main course and dessert were adequate.
I would definitely return to Teatro Zinzanni, but I wouldn't go back more than once a year until they 1. reduce the amount of time for the show and 2. step up food quality and presentation.
All in all, I was rarely bored, I laughed and smiled all night and was definitely glad I had the opportunity to go.
***Another tip, definitely get yourself a private table. It's a little weird sharing a table with strangers.

On the way in I looked over at my hubby's clothes and realized he had dressed nice, but was wearing a bright blue horrendous belt. I told him, "you better take that crap off dude, you're gonna get made fun of tonight." Did he take it off? No. Guess who got called up to participate in the "Fashion Show" segment of the circus performance?

Anyways, I laughed so hard during this show that my face still hurts.
I love love love this place. It has cirque de soleil type performances that just get better and better as the night goes on. There's a contortionist, crazy tumbling about three inches away from your face and a horizontal tango that's amazing!

I enjoyed every bite of the food served. My beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes yummy. Our friends halibut was light and also cooked just right. Don't be afraid to order the vegetarian dishes! The mushroom strata I tasted was possibly one of my favorite dishes I've tried in awhile. If its still being served the next time I go I'm ordering that for sure!

It is just soooo expensive! Easy to spend almost $200 per person. But if you can afford it, or want to splurge for a special occasion. It is so worth it.

And you can go to the bathroom whenever you want, just not during the tumbling or you'll get taken out by a man flying through the air. Most people go while the courses are being served in between performances.

And don't dress like you're just going to mcdonalds. Actually, yeah, dress that way please it will add to the show! I can't wait until I can come back here, this place is magical!

I was skeptical and even with discounted tickets AND a free wine tasting preceding I was wondering if we were going to be in the minority of people for whom this just wasn't their thing. Surrounded by surprise birthday party guests and families from out of town, I grew uneasy especially because I knew if Chris got pulled into the act I was DEAD.

We met some folks while hanging out in the bar, took their pictures for them, discussed the pros and cons of their cameras (since we're shopping for a new one). We were seated at a table of 7 and everyone politely introduced themselves and by the end of the night I had given out my business card in trade for a chimichurri recipe from one of my favorite restaurants in LA.

I was still a little anxious during the preliminary schtick, but once the first act came out I was a fan. The performers are AMAZING. Each one was absolutely Cirque du Soleil quality and the singers, especially the soprano, were superb. This is NOT schlocky dinner theater.

And the food was really good. That's the part I expected to be just ok from what I heard but I had the vegetarian entree and a couple bites of the yummy tiramisu dessert and both were delicious. The soup and salad were also both very good. Chris had the steak and thought it was also very good. No one was complaining about the food that night.

By the end of the show, I was already thinking about who I would bring back - perfect for my stepmother visiting in the fall! Chris said once was enough, but he's just relieved he didn't have to participate. At one point, I RAN back from the restroom when I heard Ceasar, the chef, looking for MEN. "Not my husband, you cheeky bastard!"

We're safe (phew) and satisfied by a wonderful evening out!

ATTN: when you call to order tickets mention "RSVP special" and get $25 off ea ticket!!!!!!!!

that makes general admission $86!!!!!!!!! thats what we did!!!

My boyfriend and I had a great time at this show! We got there just in time to grab a drink before the show. A high spirited employee came by and snapped a picture of who is in your party. Later towards the end we were presented our photo in a nice foldable frame. we loved our picture.Cost $20......which is a little high

very great show if you can afford it. would be great for a birthday party of 6 so you can have the booth seating all to yourself.
booth seats are hard on your toosh though.
food was good, my haibut was hot but the beef tenderloin was on the cold side. portion size is perfect since there is 3 plates before your entree.
we spent an additional $100.00 on top of our admission.
20.00 photo
20.00 service tip mandatory ($10 per person)
50.00 5 cocktails
10.00 parking

overall we had a great night!!!!!
perfect to take a date!!!!!!

Fantastic evening. My boyfriend and I just graduated from college with our Bachelor of Fine Art degrees and the evening was a perfect way to start the new chapter of our lives. The tent is amazing.

Tom Douglas prepared an extraordinary menu of five courses. Usually meals like that are so rich and over-the-top but this one was really balanced with a nice small appetizer right when you sit down. I had the Queen Zara drink with pineapple-infused vodka, it was sooo good. Extra tangy and delicious. The soup was a carrot and ginger with Coriander cream, the salad was really light and appetizing. I had the beef tenderloin with syrah jam as the entree and it was perfect sized.

The waiter was amazing. They all dance and are part of the show as they bring your courses which was so neat. The show was really great, think cirque du soleil, and just as talented.

I can't say enough about this experience.

Oh, my boyfriend and I also had our first dance at this show. Midway through the main singer came out and told everyone to get up and start dancing. It was super fantabulosoamazing!

I walk past Teatro Zinanni almost everyday on my way to work and I eyeball the place with a lot of skepticism. I am snotty about my live performance art, so I wasn't sure if a circus dinner theatre was my cup of tea. I will admit, my friends and I had a blast at Teatro Zinanni last Friday evening with a lot of laughs and some "ohs" and "ahs," which made for a decent, but not exceptional evening.

Ticket price is anywhere from $103.00 to $140.00, which includes a five course meal. Meal is integrated into the performance, so you have to eat and you have to eat what they serve. Imagine eating at a wedding reception for 200 or on a cruise ship. Little to no choices, everything is prepared and plated quickly, and is lukewarm. Servers deserve some major props b/c they serve food with tricks, dancing, and enthusiasm, which is a lot of fun to observe.

The performers are fantastic. I admire their skill and talent. However, the comedy bits in between the main performances can become redundant and predictable. But again, there is some great talent here and there. There are some flexible, bendy, Gumby types in this show and I am wowed by their ability to flip through the air or turn themselves into pretzels. Oh! Be prepared for a lot of audience participation. I mean A LOT! They pull everyone, their mama, and their sister onstage, so watch out!

Drinks are not included in the ticket price, so you pay about $10.00 for each alcoholic beverage, plus a required $10.00 per person gratuity fee, plus a suggested tip for your beverage service. The entire evening comes to at least $180.00 per person. Holy mackerel, Charlie Brown! That's a lot of dough to spend for lukewarm food and a redundant comedy show. But if you're curious like I was, then run over to Teatro Zinzanni and check it out for yourself! It is something interesting to experience.

I honestly don't know how anyone could give Teatro Zinzanni anything less than 5-stars. It's a great time and the food was tasty.

I went with a bunch of my awesome co-workers, we had won a friendly sales contest and got to enjoy a night out on the town on work. You know how sometimes when you're with a large group and the wait staff kinda treats you like crap? That was definitely not the case here. The staff was fantastic! When we were able to go to our seats, they came over and explained how the evening would happen, went over the dinner options, and started our drink orders and were even cool (they actually brought it up!) with several open drink tabs.
I kept my drink order easy, opting for the house red all throughout the night.

Oh wow, the show! The show was great fun! This is exactly the kinda fun I love, a lot of fun innuendo, dancing from the chandelier, singing, acrobatics, a hot contortionist, and silliness.
Oh yeah, the food was good too.

The menu is put together by Tom Douglas and you have a typical choice of steak, chicken, or vegetarian. I had the steak and it was delicious. Prior to your main course, you have a starter, then soup and then a salad. The starter (tangy shrimps when I went) are at your seat when you arrive. The rest of the courses are presented as part of the show, with the dessert the most entertaining. Genius!

I had a such a good time that I came home and told Erik I can't wait to go back! They change the show about 4 times a year, so we're planning on going in May.
I didn't pay for my tickets this time, but they give you a coupon to save $25 per ticket for a return visit that we'll be sure to use when we go back. I may need to plead my case to get a more expensive seat close to the action as opposed to the GA-like seating around the edge of the "tent". If you're going to go, you may as well go all in.

Make sure you arrive early! There's a really fun boutique (that bears much resemblance to my closet) with lots of great goodies. I HAD TO HAVE a feathery leopard print cocktail hat. Duh. I bought it with the idea I could use it as an example so I could do a little DIY and make a few on my own.
There's a bar so you can have a cocktail before you go into the tent. I ordered an amaretto sour and it was just under $10. Pretty much what I expected to pay.
In regards to drinks during dinner, know that the house wine is also about $10 a glass. There were no prices stated on the menu and I had assumed it would be around $6 a glass. Considering I had 4 glasses (hello, it's a 3-hour show, ok?) and the automatic beverage gratuity of $10, I probably could have ordered a bottle for about the same price. I know for next time.
And there will be a next time.

Have you ever wanted to have dinner at The Muppet Show?  This is about as close as it gets!

I've wanted to come check this show out since we moved here but never found the time or money to spend on it.  But the boy totally surprised me for our anniversary and brought me here.  Thankfully he told me to wear a dress otherwise I would have felt under-dressed in just my jeans and docs.

The place is amazing.  It's plush and beautiful.  You immediately feel like you have left Seattle and entered this flamboyant drama kid's wet dream.  Everyone is overly friendly and charming, though not coming across as uber fake, you know decent actors.

They have a gift shop and bar in the main lobby.  And the gift shop is such a temptation.  If you need a beautiful gift or want an excellent Mardi Gras mask come here!

The main event happens in a huge tent like portion of the building.  It's like being in a circus tent and an old theater at the same time.  We had a lovely isolated table for two next to the stage, which was perfect for us.  They immediately have appetizers ready but wait on them if you are getting their incredible wine flight!

So first off, the food and show are intertwined together.  Meaning they do a number about the dish being served and then serve it.  It's charming and makes you wish dinner was always this fun!  The dinner menu is composed by Tom Douglas and you get a choice of main course including a vegetarian option.  And do get the wine flight!  It's incredible.

The best part of all, you really feel like you are meeting the real life versions of the Muppets!  I mean Miss Piggy is right there in her over the top persona, Kermit is politely hiding in the corner, Gonzo is trying to give you an autographed picture of himself, and somehow the Swedish Chef took over the production!  I couldn't help but thinking this the whole time and laughing my ass off about it.  It made dinner even more fun.

They sing, flip and dance their asses off for your entertainment and the meal itself is actually quite good.  I had a great salmon, he had a mediocre steak (you can't order it rare, the only down note really) And the waitstaff was super attentive and nice.  I really didn't want the night to end, you get so entranced with the show.

It's a defintiely do once sort of thing and a great gift for anyone.  I mean, I thought I might really not enjoy this but they blew me away.  Dinner theater rocks!

Oh and Miss Piggy actually came and chatted with me!  My childhood dream came true!

Dinner and a show is brought to a whole new level here. It's dramatic, funny, sexy and delicious all at the same time. The food is great, it's light enough that you don't go into a coma by intermission. It's spaced out well, and is brought to your table with such flair that you don't know if you're more excited for the delivery, or for the food!

It's hard to choose a favorite part of the show, the bar was raised by the minute. I could have sat through another 3 hours. It might not be for everyone, and the cost definitely prohibits you from going on a weekly or even monthly basis, but for a special occasion of any sort, it's worth it. I can't wait for another opportunity to come up so I can see it again!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE an evening at Teatro Zinzanni. What a treat! And it is a treat because it's an expensive evening (day of show discount tickets can almost always be gotten at Ticket Ticket booths) but it's soooooo well worth it.

The food has not disappointed me, the service is fun, and the shows are hysterical and absolutely memorable. It's a full on GRAND evening under that tent. Awesome talent. Be prepared for your gut to hurt from laughing so hard.

And be sure to tip your servers handsomely. They deserve it!!

I went to this as a morale event for work. It was good. I would have really liked to see it with Ann Wilson from Heart, but she wasn't in this one I guess. The dinner may have been architected by Tom Douglas but it wasn't fantastic, merely good. The show was very good, funny and made great use of all the characters and costumes. The acrobatic aspect was definitely not as intense as Cirque Du Soleil but was still good. And for me you can't beat the price (free!). At $100 a pop, this may be a little much but it is enjoyable.

The show was excellent. Lots of funny moments and some great performers. Couldn't ask for more from the show. It's worth the extra money for good seats up front.

I expected more from the meal. A "Tom Douglas" meal has a certain level of expectation- and a grilled NY Strip (a thin one at that), green beans and mashed potato doesn't cut it. The soup was good, salad was boring and small. The desert was too rich to eat- kinda gross.

Bring your credit card as the drinks are pricey. We spent $75 on top of the dinner and show tickets. Their wine is absurdly priced. A $10 per person service charge is added to each tab for dinner (like an auto gratuity) also.

Good show though- something I enjoyed and will do again soon.

I came here on a double date one recent Thursday.  We had the BEST time!  This is a 3+ hour evening of entertainment.  Full disclosure: we knew someone on the staff so we got a little special treatment.

First of all, the show is amazing.  Very professional, fun, and entertaining.  There is a mix of everything from singing and dancing to juggling and acrobatics. It is miles above some other dinner theaters in town (ahem, Can Can) in every way.  A warning to those that might splurge on the front row seats: several skits rely heavily on audience interaction, and its hard to say no without looking like a killjoy.

The food is... good enough, it didn't blow me away, but it definitely wasn't bad.  The five course meal is served at appropriate intervals during the show.  You get a choice for your entree, but otherwise the meal is fixed.  Your food comes with the price of the tickets, but alcohol is extra.  It's always the booze that gets ya.  They offer a wine pairing with dinner for $39- that's not too bad for one person, but two or more could get a nice bottle or two for the same price.

Prepare to spend about $400 for two people.  It's a fabulous night out.

This is my second time at TZ and I had another wonderful time. The staff really makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself and if you make an effort to get into the party mode, it's even more immersive!!

Since no one else in my party wanted wine, I decided to do the wine pairings with my meal. They were mostly spot on, but I did question a couple of them. I enjoyed that my wine arrived right before the course so it wasn't lost in the rush. Well, except for the dessert course. I had to ask for that one.

I missed the one for my steak, but that was due to *someone* not in my party ganking it from me. The staff happily replaced it for me. Speaking of the steak, it was the biggest disappointment of the evening. It wasn't med-rare as promised, was almost cold and was pretty tough and fatty.

I adore Mitzi and Dick, especially during their tap dance segment. I had a pretty decent view of their single tap style. I could watch and listen to them all night long.

The only other downside is that the photographer never snagged a photo of us. I remember my first visit, the photographer approached our table and asked if we wanted to have our photo taken.

All in all, I love this place and would happily recommend it to everyone who loves a great show.

They put on a good show at Zinzanni and have delicious food, but the service is mediocre and the entertainment is uneven.

Some of the acts were very funny and I especially enjoyed the contortionist and acrobatics.  There were several musical acts performed but I didn't find them as entertaining as the rest of the show.  My biggest problem was that it was too long.  Nearly four hours!  There was too much audience participation, and I'm sorry, but Biff from Kent is just not amusing.  At several points I found myself wishing they would just get on with it and serve the next course.  By the end I was glad it was over and bolted out of there.

As mentioned previously the food was delicious, but the entrees came out lukewarm (probably to be expected when you serve 200 people simultaneously).  Our server was not very fast about getting drinks either.

All in all it was entertaining but not something I'm anxious to repeat.  Take your out of town guests here (if you can afford it--plan on $100 for the ticket and $20-50 for drinks per person) and they will probably be impressed.  Just don't expect Cirque du Soleil over dinner.

A sillier and more interactive Cirque du Soleil...I think that's how I would categorize Teatro Zinzanni.

Our office holiday party was held at Teatro Zinzanni this year.  What a fantastic idea!  I think we took up about 2/3 of the place and I'm pretty sure everyone had a blast.  The performers were so much fun and so talented!  The food was...pretty decent...but c'mon, you don't come to a place like this expecting 5 star food anyway.  You come for the experience!

I hear that the performance changes every so often...a co-worker said she had been there a year before and thought that show was funnier than the one we saw.  It was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I'm not sure that I'd go back (seems more of a try it once type of thing)...but I'm definitely glad I went.

I really enjoyed myself here at the show.  We went on a Saturday night; the boyfriend, my mom and dad (thanks for the Christmas present, guys!) and my sister.
We entered the boutique at the pre-approved time (30 minutes prior to show time).  A frenzy of people were oooooo-ing and ahhhhhhhh-ing over the Cabaret-esque robes, capes, masks/dominos and paste jewelery.  We were asked politely not to take photos of ourselves with merchandise that we had no intention of purchasing, and that was OK with us.  They have a coat check that is included in the price of the reservation; handy for a cold night outside and warm evening inside the theater/tent.

The doors to the theater or "tent" (as it appears) were opened promptly at 6:00PM.  A mad dash by the other patrons to the doors felt like a herd of cattle being called to dinner.  People were more than a little oblivious, but we refused to allow it to pall our evening.  We were seated (with a couple other folks) at our table on the outer edge of the round.  We had an excellent view of the stage and the center of the theater.

The food (which comes in courses, a total of five) is good.  Not breathtaking, but good.  I suggest the flight of wines or flight of beers to go along with your meal; and splitting them among a couple is not unheard of.  The staff has obviously made an effort to match up the wines and beers with each course.  The servers are obviously well-trained and very eye-candy worthy, but they are but a shadow to the actual players.  I have to say that it was the perfect environment for my dad who has a great love of puns and physical comedy.  The ring-leader/chef was a bit repetitive, but still funny.  Acrobatics, contortionist and musical acts were very good and very entertaining.

Definitely worth the price paid and a great gift to give to friends or family to spend a fun time.

Hi All!

This is not so much a review as it is a place to get you all the information that seems to be a bit...skewed here. :)

First, I am an employee at "TZ" and love my job! (I work in the CIRCUS!!)

Cost of Tickets:

Weds, Thurs, Sun : $100-$125
Fri, Sat : $125-$150
(There are taxes and fees added to the ticket price.  A $10 service charge is billed the night of the show.)

Although we use the word "Ticket", it really is just a reservation.
There is NO WILL-CALL.
It's like a restaurant reservation.

Day of Show:

Doors open 1 Hour BEFORE you need to be in your seat.

We have a small Happy Half Hour for those who want or need to, to get acquainted with TZ, check out the new facility, wait for friends/ family, check out our boutique if they unfortunately came in only jeans and a tee, and basically enjoy the atmosphere.

The maitre D comes out and usually a big long line is formed while everyone tries to rush in the "get a good seat".

No No NO.

Seating is pre-assigned, depending on whether you arranged for Regular seating or Inner Ring (There are only 6 Inner Ring tables, 4 to each table.  They go fast.)

Remember, this is a tent, a theater.  Seating in the Round.  From every single seat you can see the action, because the action Moves Around. (And yes, I have tested out sitting in different spots at different angles and sometimes you have an obstructed view by a performer or audience member who has a large head.)

Once you are seated, the 5-course meal begins.

Each course is server during a break in the show (which usually last 5-15 minutes at a time, with dinner being a bit longer).

During the breaks is the best time to use the restroom, especially during the first break when soup is being served and during dinner.  For some reason, EVERYONE has to go during the salad service.

One thing to know is that sometimes, a show will have a dancing segment.  This is where we ask the audience to get up and dance.  I have had couples tell me this is the first time they have danced since their wedding.  And they had been married 40 years!  The dancing usually happens before dinner.  (Note for Quest for Queendom:  Watch out!  The show doesn't take a break after the dancing segment and you can get caught right in the spotlight if you were thinking of stepping out immediately after.)

Like all theaters, TZ has a Boutique.

Here we have items that can be purchased to adorn yourself or your home.  It's a place to get a small souvenir or even a Venetian Mask.

We also have a Photographer and sometimes Face-painting.

A photo is $20.  (Not $30-$40 like someone remarked.)

Face-painting $10-$15.

You are welcome to bring your own camera as long as you:

1) Don't take photos with any un-purchased merchandise.
(Please understand that we are a business, like any other store that you go to.  Would you go to 5th Avenue and take photos with their merchandise then just walk away leaving them strewn about?)

2) Don't take photos in the tent at ANY time.
(This is not a stadium.  We see you.  Also, the show and the performers are copyrighted.  Many of the performers have it in their contract that their acts are NOT to be recorded in anyway.  Every time this happens, TZ has to pay.  Also, refer to #1.  The Photographer is an employee.  If you take away the need for a photographer, you relieve someone of their job/ liveliness.  Please understand.)

Many times, after the performances, the performers are more than happy to take photos with guests.

JUST REMEMBER, they have just performed for 3-hours straight plus the time it took to get ready.  Give them a break if all they want to do is eat something, grab a drink and go to bed.

I love TZ.

I loved TZ before I started working there.

Our priority is entertainment.

We strive to keep all our guests happy.

We want them to feel like kids again.

We want to be the place their dreams come true.

We want to be the place where they have their first dance, all over again.

We want you to have Fun.

And I want to have Fun with you!!

I heard so many great things about this place from people, but sadly I was not that impressed. The dinner catered to "X" amount of people I can say was very impressive due to such high volume, along with the juggler, but not so much the sweaty old man grabbing at my hand towel. To be honest I wasn't very fond of the show so I don't really remember much from it, however the couple things I do remember must have stood out.

Probably not for everyone and in this particular case, me!

TZ, you were nearly perfect for me! Your entertainment was top-rate! Your food was quite good! I was most impressed at how quickly and efficiently everyone was served each course--how do you do it?  We arrived to our reserved seat (so classy, not having to fight over tables) to find a little shrimp cocktail of sorts. So cute. I actually ate the shrimp, too, and it wasn't even shrimpy. That's a good thing. The soup was divine and the entree quite nice.  I got the vegetarian option--something wrapped in puff pastry. That's all I needed to know. It was pretty yummy. Dessert was an extremely rich chocolate thing. I could only eat a bite, and noticed many of them left behind by other diners. A pity, that. Wasting food. It was a bit over the top for many of us.

Another pity that my recollection, and therefore description, of the food is so poor--champagne will do that to a girl. But the TZ experience is all about the show. And what a show!  Top notch atmosphere, from the time you enter the building until you leave. A feeling of exclusivity and grandeur surrounds you and transports you far from the dreary Seattle winter.  The highly talented performers astound you with acts ranging from a hula hooping sprite of a woman to an amazing contortionist, tap dancers, comics, acrobats, an Edith Piaf-type exotic torch singer, and a true opera diva.

The ONLY aspect of the show I found boring and way too long was one audience participation segment. I found myself thinking "I paid way too much to watch this dork dance and make a fool of himself." TZ, you could do away with this bit completely and NOBODY WOULD CARE. Luckily, the show wound up to a breathtaking finale that swept all that away.

Any show that combines scream-of-surprise-(tiny, but still) inducing acrobatic skills with my favorite aria of all time (performed flawlessly) is a winner in my book.

TZ is perfect for a special date, your out of town guests, and your grandparents. Teatro Zinzanni is worth the price for an unforgettable evening.

If any place in Seattle deserves a 5-star rating, it's this place!!!

Between the INCREDIBLE 5-course meal, to an amazing show in a fun gypsy-tent style restaurant, and extremely outgoing actors/waiters, this place is one of the best places on earth.

The only way I can describe this place is "magical."

Considering the quality of the food along with the show, the price really is not that bad.  If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and try it!!  Great for birthdays and special occasions.  You'll see me there on my next bday!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We were seated at 6:00pm and not served our meal until 9:20pm. We were not warned that we would be held captive without intermission or anything except WAY TOO MUCH ALCOHOL. Very over priced. The entertainment was very good, but the best seat at ACT would have cost $125 less. The food was just okay....everything was flashy (but nice flashy) but way too pricey.
I am diabetic and they could have at least warned me that I wouldn't be a ble to move for 4 hours and not served dinner until 9:20pm. I would not recommend this to anyone- unless you just won the lottery or made way too much money in commission. I understand this is a special event activity but with all the prep and fees they could have at least warned about NOT BEING ABLE TO GET IN OR OUT OF SEATING and NOT HAVING ENTREE for 3 12 hours would have made this a much better experience. IF you go- bring one or two energy bars, and take a walk before you enter the TENT.

Have you ever dined in the center ring of a circus?  That's what our experience was like last night, and it was magical and fun.  I agree with the other reviews in that you shouldn't come here expecting a five-star meal and service, but when you leave you will be delighted and very satisfied with the experience.

The appetizer was quite good-chevre with a single moist fig, olive tapenade, a slice of honeydew dusted with fresh mint, and flatbreads.  After much singing, slapstick, and comedy, we had a delicious roasted pepper soup that was perfectly seasoned.  As others have stated so well, there is quite a pause between courses, so please do not come here ravenous, or you will be chewing on the flowers on the table.

The entertainers were first-rate.   My favorites were the Maiers, who are a German couple who will thrill you with their acrobatics and abiltity to stay in character the whole night.

The only dinner course that was disappointing was the entree, which was a beige-colored piece of chicken on top of dry, lumpy, beige mashed potatoes.  It actually took me several seconds to figure out what it was that I was served.  It didn't taste bad; but it was probably the most visually unappealing thing I've been served since I was in laid up in a hospital at age 12 (my god that was almost 10 years ago!).

Anyway, during and after dinner we witnessed the most spectacular acrobatics by two young Chinese men, and a fabulous skit by the Maiers, who are incredibly talented.

Dessert was an apricot tart that was top-notch, with a perfect crunchy almond-flavored crust.   Yumm...

Our server was very sweet but as others have said, since they are part of the performance, it can take quite a while to have your dishes cleared and drinks refilled, but we didn't mind.  The actual serving of the courses is done with lots of pomp and circumstance and flourish, and you'll enjoy it.

This would be a great place to take visitors from out of town, but if you go, spend the extra money to sit up front, it's worth it.

This is a full evening of old-school entertainment. Pretty spendy, but the fact is you won't see another show like it in Seattle.

Watch out for the traveling photographer -- they don't let you take pictures for the performers' safety, so instead they'll charge you $30-$40 for the staff photographer to do it for you (he does a pretty good job though).

The only other thing I'd add is that the dinner is paced out over the course of the (3-hour) show, so your entree doesn't come until pretty late in the evening -- don't go in starving!

I came to Teatro Zinzanni a while back for a friend's birthday party. The theater/Tent is quite nice. The show is good (and they change it often from what I understand). The food is okay..even though it's supposedly catered by Tom Douglas who's supposed to be the guru chef of Seattle.  Anyway I believe I paid $100 so for decent food and a decent show (it's no Cirque Du Solei...but this isn't Vegas either) I think it was well worth it. I could easily recommend Teatro Zinzanni as a perfect place for that special occasion.

The lights hadn't dimmed yet, no show had begun, and my date sat with me in the inner circle (he'd coughed up some cash for the privy seats) while some soft music played.  I had JUST taken a sip of my drink when the matre d' came over to our table, took me by the hand, and pulled me up to slow dance with him.

Nobody else was dancing.  Most people stopped conversing and stared at the two of us in the center of the room.  Matre d' didn't say one word to me as we swayed; he just looked intensely into my eyes, never once breaking character, as I hesitantly let him lead.

And as he eventually re-seated me (at someone else's table), and pulled a different woman up to dance with him, I was glad I'd worn my dancing shoes, and looked sheepishly over at my date, now seated next to my empty chair.

Though you don't intend for it to happen, the strangers seated at your table quickly become strange friends, as the atmosphere twists and laughs and bends around you.  You almost forget that you are there eating a meal (the lovely wine selection helps with this phenomenon), and whatever anyone may claim the food lacks, it is made up for with the continuous flow of incomparable burlesque-esque movement everywhere.

I can only think of a few other times in my life when a contortionist was flexing mere inches away from the sipping of my soup.

I've since revisited the tent, four or five times in the past few years, and I always leave smiling and/or tipsy, COMPLETELY satisfied at the money spent.

And though the venue is somewhat pricey (compared to a barefoot, moonlit stroll on that same tired Alki esplanade), if "momentus" is the goal of your anniversary or holiday celebration, Teatro has a seat waiting for you (and several hundred of your friends).

My husband took me to TZZ last Sat (4/6) as an early birthday celebration. I have wanted to go for the last two years as it came highly recommended and sounded like a lot of fun. I had a blast! The environment, decor, people were all awesome! The show was entertaining, funny and well acted. I am happy that I was able to celebrate my birthday at TZZ and plan to come again sometime in the future.

I feel a little silly going to a place like Zinzanni in Seattle because it's so...Vegas? I feel like it's on the same level as going to the space needle or an expensive ride the ducks. But I still can't help but LOVE this place.

HECK YES it's pricey. But it ended up being more like an awesome four hour mini vacation to crazyville where you leave forgetting where you came from.

It's seriously four solid hours of non-stop entertainment. We went to the Quest for Queendom show which had way more arial/acrobatic/contortionist acts, which are my FAVORITE, than the show I had seen a few years back. The married couple maid/butler duo were awesome and adorable. And Kevin Kent is down right hilarious. I can't believe the things that man got away with.

The appetizer is delicious, chevre is one of my new favorite things to put in my mouth and the Tuna was surprisingly perfectly cooked. Everything else was meh. But with a couple tasty drinks it's all better.

I was a little disappointed that all of the inner ring seats were 4 tops which made date night a little awkward, not as awkward as the 16 year old couple sitting next to us who wouldn't eat, dance, or kiss. But luckily we didn't get picked on as much as the other people around us. Next time I would save the few dollars and sit in the regular seats.

Also they told the bf, who almost never drinks, that there was a maximum number of drinks you could order "due to the nature of the show" after he ordered two shots of patron over the four hours. I thought this was a little funny because the table of old ladies behind us were WASTED and yelling obscenities at the performers as the night progressed.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Or when I can save up another 300 bucks.

This was a night I will never forget. Great food, great entertainment, great company.

I took my mom here for her birthday, and she was glowing the whole time. She kept looking at me and telling me this is the best birthday she has ever had.

I am not going to give anything away, but they get the audience involved, so be prepared to get called (thankfully, I wasnt). One emotional moment of the night was when they got this one older lady to participate. The way the woman looked and dressed reminded my mom and I of my grandma, who passed away in March. My mom got tears in her eyes when we found out she had the same name as my grandma. We knew she would have loved to have seen this.

The food was outstanding as well. It is a five course meal, with three choices as the main dish. I choose the coq au vin, which is a chicken dish. It was the most flavorful chicken I have ever had. I will soon master that recipe (and treat some lucky lady to it).

Overall, this was something I will remember for a long time if not forever.

I agree with all the other five star writers - it is suberb. My (now) husband and I have gone twice; both times for dating-versaries, and both times I was entranced the entire evening. The second time we went (October of aught seven) I had been having a hard month, and it was the first time I'd smiled that much - my face hurt the next day! It was the cure for the blues, and I walked away lighter. I've seen Cirque in LV twice, and it's the only thing comparable to how I feel after Zinzanni.

The staff, waitstaff and performers are attentive and warm and friendly, and think nothing of chatting with you if you have questions or just want to say hello. The second time we went he tipped them off that it was a `versary, and they sat us in front of the stage, which was even more amazing than the booth we'd sat in previously. The main performer even invited me onstage to dance with her!

It is expensive. Alcohol is not included in the ticket price, we usually wind up with a bar bill around $60-70 for a cocktail before and two glasses of wine each during. But it is completely worth it.

Also VEGETARIANS out there: they have veggie options of each course, so be sure to let them know if you're a veg.

If you go, experience it completely - dress to the nines, get a boa and a tiara, fellas, get a fancy bowler hat or similar, and just enjoy the hell out of yourself. When you're there, that's not hard to do!

Okay, so in Yelp there are two different listings for Teatro Zinzanni.  Both of the reviews under the other selection are just 'okay' but they're both the consumer's fault, not the show!  If you're anti-social or very shy, this is NOT the place for you to go for the evening.  However, if you're even semi-outgoing you DEFINITELY need to check out Teatro Zinzanni.

This was one of the best evenings I've ever had in Seattle.  The show is amazing, with a wonderful use of all characters.  Everytime I saw one performance I kept saying to myself "that was my favorite" then the next performance would start and I would say it again.  The show completely exceeded my expectations!  They serve a 4 course meal, which is very good, but not the greatest.  I mean, lets be real, the meal is definitely part of it, but not the whole night!  The meal is nothing to complain about, it was very good.  And I love how they work the different courses into the show.

Word to the wise, if you're shy don't sit in the front.  I would not call myself shy, maybe a little reserved.  I was pulled up on stage and it was very embarassing!  This is not by any means ruin the show for me, just made my face turn a little red. :)

Overall, I think everybody should check this out if you've got the means to do it.  It's a little pricey, but it's a SHOW and DINNER!  Go for it!
