I definitely like this place.  The prices are really good. Everything is either 1.99 or 2.99.

So you order, and fill to the green line with jellies and tapioca.  Then you give it back to the server and she'll fill your cup with your drink.

The green lines are just stickers and they're all over the place.  My boyfriend once got a cup with the green line halfway down from where mine was.

The sweet jellies are good with sweet drinks, but not good with milk teas.  The popping boba they have is interesting.  I tried it once; didn't like it.  It was way too sweet.

The menu is sufficient.  There are some unique choices that I had never heard of before, like the yogurt drinks.  However, those drinks are basically Calpico in different flavors.

They do have traditional tapioca (big and small), but not if you come too early.

Bubble tea. My way.  It's the new pearl tea concept from...Tuttimelon!  Self-serve pearl tea!

You pick your drink size, fill up your cup with whatever you want at the toppings bar, they add your drink of choice, seal it and you stick your big fat straw through the plastic.  What's novel is that you add your own tapioca pearls (large, small or both), jellies (rainbow, green apple), mango stars, and poppers - however much you want - and the drink is $1.99 (for the smaller size, $2.99 for the larger size) regardless of the stuff you put in it.

The poppers are very interesting.  They come in mango and litchi flavors. The skins are very thin and they're filled with juice that explodes in your mouth.

The drink menu isn't as extensive as Quickly's but that's because they decide to focus on making better drinks.  They have taro, fresh papaya, Horlicks and other tapioca drinks, plus yogurt drinks and coffee.  Oh and fried snacks like tofu, crispy popcorn chicken, etc.

I had the vanilla milk tea with pearls, poppers and mango stars.  They didn't add too much ice yet the tea was nice and cold (you can also get a hot version).  It was really good - not too sweet, nice vanilla flavor, tastes like tea too.

The Tea Way logo was designed by Roy (Mr. Tuttimelon). He knows Chinese calligraphy.  He's good at everything!  I think he was in the back cooking the pearls?  He was wearing the cutest apron.

I'm glad the inside doesn't look that different from the old Tuttimelon.  The wavy wall is still there but it's green now.

Today was the GRAND OPENING EVENT!!!! (Or yesterday...since it's 12AM now) Today wasn't the first day this place has opened, ironic, isn't it? How can it be a grand opening even then?

The line wasn't very long. I guess not many people knew about it or didn't want to wait in line. I would say the wait to get in was about 10minutes. Just like the Tuttimelon's grand opening event,, they had a wheel to spin. All but 2 were milk tea. 1 wedge of the wheel was popcorn chicken and the other was curly fries.

I came with my sis & bf, so we had 3 chances of getting popcorn chicken or curly fries. My sis spun, she was off by 1 wedge to get popcorn chicken. I wasn't even close to it, but bf won curly fries & didn't even really want it. I guess me & my sis wanted it a little too much.

Finally reached front, I handed the curly fries coupon and we received our cups for FREE milk tea. We filled our cups to the GREEN line for fillings. I filled my cup with coffee jelly, green tea jelly, green apple jelly, lychee jelly, rainbow jelly & aloe (I didn't see any tapioca as a topping, maybe because it takes a while to cook). I then handed my cup filled with jelly to the worker and they filled my cup with ICE, milk tea, sealed my cup & gave it back to me.

*tick tock tick tock* it's been 10 minutes (after I get my drink...) for my curly fries and it still hasn't come yet. It finally came, everyone else was waiting for their fried food for a looooong time too.

My drink tasted ok, not great just ok. I couldn't differentiate the jelly that I got, it all tasted rainbow. Not good to add too many different ones, you can't tell what you're eating.

Curly fries were good. They were hot, crispy & crunchy.

+ Friendly Service
+ Decent Prices
+ Coupons
+ Cheaper than Quickly
+ Accepts Credit Cards (Not Yet...)

Yay, I got to be Tea Way's first customer :P I came with my little sister to their grand opening today. It was raining again just like it did when Tuttimelon first opened.

There were two staffs there when we arrived. The manager Roy and another worker. Both were extremely friendly. Since it was a cold day today, and I wanted something warm in my system, I ordered a regular milk tea for $1.99 + tax. My tea came hot and frothy. After that, we got to add whatever toppings we like in our drinks.

This is how it works: Each cup has a green line. You can add what whatever toppings you like. It is self served. The toppings are free of charge. You can add the toppings up to the green line. Otherwise they will charge you extra.

Other than drinks, Tea Way also offers snacks as well. All snacks here are $2.99 and the drinks range from $1.99 - $2.99. Pretty much similar to Quickys only cheaper.

I also heard that they will having promotional coupons coming soon where you buy something here and get a certain percent off at Tuttimelon. Looking forward that! :3
