OMG, I love this place! Well the almond milk boba tea that is! I could drink that stuff every day. I have since moved to Houston and have tried three boba tea places and none compare to this!!!
Minus one star only because the food is a little pricey and in my opinion not nearly as good as the tea. -

I used to live in a bigger city where there were many bubble tea cafes. So I was excited when my friend told me there is a bubble tea cafe nearby. Well, they have a good list of teas but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other bubble tea places or taste. I'm Asian American so I know the food is not good. The noodles were bland and greasy , the chicken was overflowing with sauce, the fried spring rolls are tiny..the size of a vienna sausage....Basically, the food is not good and the portion is very small. You'll leave unsatisfied and hungry. This place seems more like a college hang out.

Sure, they have bubble tea, but TEA Cafe isn't good for much else. I don't order any of their noodle dishes unless if I'm desperate for something that slightly resembles Asian food. It's greasy and flavorless. The only thing I usually order is the tofu app. It's deep-fried and comes with a yummy sauce. As for service, it's pretty bland, too. Don't expect much.
I say to think of it as a good alternative to Starbucks. Completely disregard the food unless if you REALLY want something and don't expect much. -

I've been to TEA Cafe several times (it's a college student cliche, really) and it fails to impress me every time.
Firstly, boba tea is weird. I don't like to be drinking something and suddenly have tapioca balls halfway down my throat. Maybe I am too easily surprised, but I don't care for it.
The tea doesn't get me excited, but I'm no tea connoisseur.
The food is mediocre at best. One meal came in some sort of gelatinous sauce that nearly made me gag. You're better off just getting tea.
Maybe I'm just always starving when I get to TEA Cafe, but it seems to take forever to get the food out (which is not very delicious anyway).
Bottom line: if you like ten thousand kinds of tea, go for it. But I warned you about the food and the service. -

T.E.A. Cafe possesses a cult following among many Norman students. Not because it is popular among certain groups, but because it has almost become somewhat of a cult among many frequent patrons.
Its boba tea, quick food and trendy aura has made it a hot spot for everyone from hipsters to Greek.
At first is was oddly located a few miles away from the university; however, has recently opened on campus corner. Before I ever experienced the cuisine I was forced to listen to others babble about its greatness, and when I asked what it was I was met with scorns of disdain.
I was finally taken to eat at its old location. Upon arriving I began to notice why it has become a hot spot for college students. The facility possessed a hybrid feel of both euro-style shop and trendy sushi bar. We were promptly seated and served our boba teas. The mood was relaxing and although busy, our food was promptly served.
The food was decent and reasonably priced; however, it was the tea that made the meal.
I can't say I've become a tea cafe fanboy like some of my friends, but I was not disappointed.

If you find yourself in Norman and have a craving for some bubble tea, this is the place to be. They have a great selections of all types of tea's. This is also the best place to go for Chinese food in Norman. I don't think they deliver, but you can call your order in and pick it up if you would like. The "rice box" is a really great deal and a whole lot of food. Delicious! Fun atmosphere too! Great place for a date.

The waitstaff here is (are?) wonderful and really seem to care about getting everything right.
The food is good, but not abundant. Which is ok, just be aware before you go in. I would have liked more chicken in my chicken with snow peas dish. (for the record, I am not someone who needs a gargantuan meal, and am not overweight. At this time.)
They have a nice option where you choose the protein, pick one of their 6-8 different sauce options, then choose which vegetables go into the dish. I like it because you get exactly what you want. I tried the orange sauce this time and it was very sweet, had no orange peel or orange flavor, but it was reasonably tasty. Really sweet, though. I probably should have guessed that in advance.
I also like that this restaurant offers steamed brown rice as an option. They also have several healthy options listed at the bottom of the menu - super low fat, moderately low fat, and I think possibly a low sodium. I really appreciate that effort. (Needless to say, those were not the options I chose.)
The watermelon juice is superb, and I highly recommend it! Be aware though that they will add fructose to it unless you request unsweetened, and also, contrary to the meal size, the watermelon juice IS served in gargantuan proportions. The W juice is only available seasonably, so get it while you can! -

Service was excellent. My wife liked my dish better than hers so I traded with her. We didn't say anything to our waiter but he asked us about it and brought us another dish to take home on the house even though we insisted it wasn't necessary. Prices are very reasonable. The fried rice is recommended but you may want to add veggies because it's just rice, chicken, and egg otherwise. The frappes are excellent as well and you can request how much sugar you want or don't want. Personally, I like half the normal fructose.

TEA Cafe is where it's at for Asian cuisine in Norman. The chicken friend rice is awesome, cheap and can feed 2. All the food is fresh, and they have a great selection of teas and sweets. Everything is reasonably priced. Awesome.
