Review from Margaret H.
Mill Valley, CA
Bought a leather pouf today. I bought a natural tan leather...and, as it just arrived from Morocco it still has a strong odor. I was told how to help eliminate the odor by having it in a well ventilated area and that it would disappear in a few weeks. Time will tell how that goes. Smell aside, I love my new pouf. The customer service was great. Marta, and I am assuming one of the owners were very warm and friendly. They were helpful but did not pressure me at all to make a purchase. The stuff in their shop is beautiful. Amazing lanterns and pillows, furniture and poufs in beautiful vibrant colors. I highly recommend this place for beautiful authentic items from Morocco. You really feel as if you were transported to Morocco when you step inside the space.

Beautiful furniture, but I've found the owner to be completely unreasonable and haughty.

Absolutely the worst! The most rude, arrogant, nasty service I've ever received. Products seem nice but this store doesn't deserve to get any orders. After asking a valid question, I got yelled at and hung up on. The funny thing is that I should've been the one yelling and hanging up due to a problem but was shocked to get that treatment myself instead. Hicham should not work in customer service if he cannot have a normal conversation with a client. I agree with the other reviewer that it seems like this guy is just very angry and is taking it out on everyone else.

The designs are good. The customer service is not. I wanted a lamp -- the price listed does not include the hardware. That was an extra $50. When it arrived, my handyman noticed a wire was frayed and partially severed. I contacted the owner and he didn't believe me -- wanted me to send him a picture. Claimed the lamp hung, lit, in his shop. I'm sure it did, because the wire appeared to be frayed over time, rubbing against the metal as it hung in his shop. The extra $50 I spent, apparently, wasn't for new hardware. Really annoying, but I took a photo and sent it to him. And he didn't respond. I called and a woman named Marta said she'll call me back. Instead, I got an email questioning how the damage occurred. Gee, thanks. I have nothing better to do than waste my time sending emails and photos over a frayed wire. They offered me $20 or a refund, and a bad taste in my mouth. The other day, I called Apple computer over a late delivery. They handled it pronto, with smiles. Not a fair comparison, but it was like a five star hotel versus a homeless shelter.

Review from Lauren S.
I get the feeling that a lot of this guy's patrons are people who literally stumble into it after getting their Blue Bottle Coffee. Once I got my cafe mocha I started walking back up Linden and I was going to sit in the little park until the beautiful Moroccan lanterns in the window of this shop caught my eye.
I ducked inside and felt like I had been transported to another country. Beautiful mosaic tables, antique cabinets with ivory inlay, handmade pottery, traditional Moroccan slippers, and all the vivid orange, turquoise, magenta, and lime pillows you could ever want with beautiful embroidery. -

If you ever feel the need to escape the city for a few minutes, duck into this shop tucked away on Linden. It's cheaper than a flight to Fez and you don't have to worry about getting any shots before you travel.
They offer truly beautiful Moroccan poufs, graphic tagines, stunning lanterns, antique doors, and everything else you'll need to convince anyone you spent the last year in Morocco procuring these treasures (you can order from the website, too).
Stop by Blue Bottle first, wander in with coffee in hand, and leave refreshed. Repeat as necessary.Listed in: Banner Saturdays

Review from Morgen N.

Interesting review by Nana G - I walked into this place about a month ago. While the pieces of furniture were absolutely stunning, and my girlfriend who loves this type of stuff was ooo-ing and aaah-ing all over the place. The guy running the store, presumably the owner after seeing Nana's review, was VERY rude. We were all smiles, just browsing, and he was just chock-a-block FULL of attitude. I don't know if he was personally stressed about something or if he just hates life in general. I think we would have purchased a lamp or some other small glass ware had we not been so turned off by his attitude. 2 stars for his beautiful taste, but minus 3 for not understanding how to deal with customers.

I wrote a review before, but it's not here anymore. I'm writing another one so that the owner will hopefully learn from it. I would have furnished my entire home from Tazi Designs, but the owner was so incredibly rude when I bought a couch from him that I swore I would never return. He was so angry that I did not bring my husband with me to pick up the couch that he stood over me yelling as I loaded the couch by myself. I am petite but strong as a horse, so I took care of business with style and grace as the owner tried to humiliate me. I had to call my husband and have him tell the lady that works at Tazi that he was going to drive from Sacramento to beat the owner if he did not leave me alone. His price online was different from what he claimed was listed in the store. Luckily, I had written record of the online price and the owner's signiture which guaranteed the price. Unfortunately, I have not found another place that has similarly beautiful furniture. I still need several pieces of furniture and want to replace a few light fixtures but refuse to shop at Tazi because this man is a monster.

3 big floors of reasonably priced Morrocan treasures that include mosaic tables, hand dyed leather furnishings and lots of old rugs and ceramics. Tazi ships directly and will happily search out all manner of antiquities on your behalf as part of his frequent buying trips. http://www.tazidesigns...

Never noticed the alley here until I walked by while strolling at the SF Capsule event. Very eclectic furniture and lots of beautiful Persian/Mediterranean style pieces. Adored the amazing and prominent wood doors, ideal for the million dollar home entranceway.

Very cool to stumble on this while sipping my Blue Bottle cappuccino. Incredible Moroccan lanterns, leather ottomans (poufs), Moroccan tea glasses, cool slippers, incredible carved wood doors and tile fountains. There are also some Moroccan clothes - especially the tunic tops with beads that I still have my eye on!

Plus there are some custom pieces you can special order. Truly unique! I want a whole bunch of things from here! First, must buy house....
