You won't really find this place if you're just walking around looking for a tattoo joint. This spot is a hidden gem. Very clean, very inviting, and super friendly staff (big ups to the Filipina receptionist who greets you with that aloha). This place is underneath the Royal Aloha residences, at the foot of Waikiki (end of the strip accross from the Waikiki Landmark). Great artists and super clean equipment. Micah, the artists who did my tatt had a gentle hand. My tat is near the armpit area, a really sensitive spot for pain, but he made it work where it didn't really hurt all that much - AND he worked quick with precision, and checks his work thoroughly.
Pricewise, it's not expensive at all. It all depends on how intricate your work will be, but you know a lot of places will charge you well over $100 for a simple script. Be weary of all the "bootleg" tattoo parlors around town, they're all over. Tattoolicious come highly recommended. I'm actually gonna go back for more ink with Micah in the near future.
I got my first tattoo done here by Heather. She worked with me for the design and coloring and it turned out great! I get complimented on it all the time still. The staff here is very friendly and during the 20 hours that my tattoo took I saw many satisfied customers coming and going. Sean's work looks great too! Many more examples of art are available on google.
If you are looking to get a tattoo, this is THE place to get it. Each artist has their own book, so look for yourself.
They also have an Aveda spa attached...
Got my last and greatest tattoo (so far) here from an artist who moved out of Hawaii. I don't know how good the other artists are, but she was really, really good.
I always try to avoid places like this, being that it is in Waikiki and usually overrun with tourists or military. When I was there, a guy was getting a tattoo of a huge cross on his arm. me and the girl tattooing me laughed quitely. It's funny what people are really into that 100,000,000 other people already have.
i got a foot tattoo there by Jason. its a good shop, clean interesting and comfortable and the artist was awesome. he did great work and was very professional. i was really impressed and pleased with the whole experience. =) its only the second place ive gotten a tattoo at but i think theyre great and i am actualy thinking of getting another one there.
