Review from Lauren S.
Since, you know, weddings are in the air and they've consumed my life lately I thought I'd write about another little wedding I went to.
The Tate house was originally built by the Tate family in...you guessed it...Tate, GA. Since the Tate family owned Georgia marble, the place is covered with marble flooring, cladding, and columns. It was then sold and used as a restaurant, I believe it had brief life as a bed and breakfast, and now it is a wonderful event venue.
If you're looking for a ceremony that has the mountains as your backdrop, I would highly suggest looking here. It has beautiful scenery while still maintaining the classic architecture of somewhere like Atlanta's Swan House.
On the grounds, they have several cabins you can rent out for your guests or the wedding party. There aren't many other hotels here, but it is actually a nice, scenic drive up 75 from Atlanta that takes about an hour.
The food they catered was great, the staff was friendly, and my friend really enjoyed having her wedding here. She mentioned they are easy to work with and made her day a lot less stressful. And her pictures here turned out beauuuuutiful.
