I absolutely LOVE Taste! I usually don't care for the little gift-shop-boutique types, but this is as quirky and fantastic as you can get. Just enough variety to find something for anyone in your life, but not so much that you get bogged down wading through frivolous junk to get to the good stuff.
I've bought several hilarious gift cards here, off-registry stuff for weddings, snacks, tea, and have even requested a few things of local friends for my own "registry"! It's your kind of place, trust me-- they've got everything from John Deere to Star Wars and baby bibs with French Pirates. The staff is also super helpful and very well-tempered, I enjoy chatting with them whenever I go in!

Oddly enough the greeting card selection is wonderful! I am a true hater of greeting cards, but will go all the way to Decatur for the selection at Taste.
The staff is ridiculously nice, always giving a sample of something yummy and a smile! This is another of my fave places to go for a gift, or a lil something special for my puppy dog.

Great little shop in downtown Decatur if you're looking for a cool gift or something interesting to add to your own kitchen. It was hard for me to not walk out of Taste with a couple hundred bucks worth of coffee and tea items. Or the gourmet Vosges chocolate bars...
I had a nice chat with the owner about the price and quality of various cast iron utensils...very knowledgeable and fun to talk shop with. Not to mention he was blasting Johnny Cash the whole time I was in the store. Kitchen stores with good taste in music score big with me.
This is a cute little kitchen and housewares shop located in downtown Decatur (near the Marta station). When I went there a while back, I found so many useful items, like boxes of Maldon Salt (the best salt), to Bialetti's Moka Pot. They have some great cooking ingredients like honey, preserves, etc.
Since I went in there years ago, they have halved the size of their store (not quite sure why), but it's still chock full of interesting items and gifts. It's worth a look for sure.
I cannot get enough of this place! Really, how many cute kitchen things does a girl need? Well, if you are me . . . a whole load of them. This is also my one stop shop for any gift for my foodie friends. It isn't outrageously overpriced like most fun chic little stores tend to be. Aside from foodie gifts, they also have adorable dog collars and leashes. Oddly, UGA dog coats are not as easy to find as one might think. Functionable, wellmade and not ridiculously priced ones, that is - but Taste has some very cute ones and GT doggie coats too. . . which you never see. Taste also has fantastic gourmet ingredients! If you haven't been by, you should stop in on your next lazy afternoon. The owner is really knowledgable and friendly as well.
I am a big fan of this place. The owner is super, super helpful, and he allowed me to bring my dog inside. Lots of variety, without being overwhelming.
My friend Alexa discovered this place and couldn't stop talking about how "awesome" the "cool kitchen supplies" was.
She was totally right! Apparently the contents of your kitchen pantry can be as stylish as that of your bedroom closet. Taste presents an array of trendy platters, dishes, utensils - pratical items made modern and fashionable. They also have bizarre snacks such as the lime salsa Alexa bought. To be honest, the most interesting thing about it was the container (which probably wasn 't worth the money). At least the green jar looked cool resting in the cabinet. While I found the store cute and unique, I personally wouldn't want to spend money this way. I might however return around Mother's Day. This place is perfect for buying expensive gifts you would feel guilty purchasing for yourself. And even if you aren't in the mood to splurge, Taste makes for enjoyable window shopping!
i absolutely adore this place. not only do i shop here for myself, but also anytime i need a unique & fun foodie gifts. the people who work here are very conversational and knowledgeable about everything kitchen-y. i also love that they have several items that you can get customized, like monogrammed stemware & glasses and cutting boards. they have a great loose tea selection and plenty of gadgets and goodies to yum up your kitchen. it isn't uncommon for them to put a little something extra in your bag - a little extra oil to go with your new cutting board, some new salt to try (that you'll be back to buy again!), etc. a great place to just browse around, as well.
This place is so great. It combines all of my impulse buy favorites into one store: kitchen gadgets, gourmet condiments, funky housewares and more. This would be a great place to find a wedding or housewarming gift, whether your friend is the classic cast-iron skillet type, the chef seeking Mario Batali brand gear, the foodie who loves exotic teas and local treats like roasted pecan butter, or the hipster in need of an ironic apron. When I moved into my current apartment my aunt visited Taste in my honor and brought me irreverent cocktail napkins, a "Butter Boy" (dispenses butter for your corn on the cob), and a thing that makes toast with the image of the Virgin Mary on it, so I'll let you guess which of the above categories I fall into.
Like The Cook's Warehouse, Taste makes you want to buy everything in the store, even if you're just a novice cook. Taste has kitchen appliances and utensils as well as modest home accents. I spent about thirty minutes gazing cook books, playing with trinkets and convincing myself that I needed to expand my cooking tool collection. The store is so vivid and welcoming; it just makes you want to spend.

This store is a hidden gem. If you are looking for anything from unique greeting cards to high end cookware, you will find it here. The owner of the shop always gives great recommendations and a brief background on the items you are purchasing. They usually have some really great food samples by the register, so don't miss out!
Cute little store in Decatur full of food and gift items. The items they carry rival those in snobby foodie stores on the coasts but are rationally priced.
I want everything in Taste. Their selection of kitchenwares is simply superb. Their collection of eclectic gifts and household items always makes me laugh. Such a great addition to Decatur.
