HUGE Targét fan. My only problem with this Target is that they don't have their liquor license yet.
I need my boxed wine!!!!
My husband and I registered with Target for wedding gifts. Someone sent us a fairly large gift and UPS delivered it shattered. Glass was falling out of the box.
We looked online and found we could exchange it at a Target Store, printed out the gift receipt and found it was in stock at this location.
Even exchange right? Nope.
Because our family member bought it on sale on Target.com, they instisted we get a gift card. They would not do an 'even exchange' for the exact same item.
The gift was purchased for $99 and we had to pay an additional $30 because it wasn't on sale anymore. Because Target didn't wrap it well and UPS was not careful with it, it cost us an additional 30%!

When was this Target built? 1989? no? Recently... what?!?
How is the floor so scuffed? I was not impressed with this new Target...I do judge all Targets by comparing to my absolute favorite Target, the Coleman location. This Target has a ways to go.... it was messy and I swear the people that worked there were all a little strange...I mean, I know it's Target, but usually there's pretty decent service from my experiences at the many Targets I have frequented on a regular basis.
Oh...AND, this place is a weights and measures nightmare...I swear, if they were to get audited, they'd fail miserably. I kept looking at prices and wondering what the heck was the price....perfect example...I was looking for some sort of flavor packets for water, like the crystal light ones and found some South Beach Diet ones and they had a couple of flavors, but one flavor was marked $1.99 and the others, same size but different flavor, were marked $3.99...so I bought the ones for $1.99 but they came up as $3.99. And I know how to read price tags on the shelf, I checked everything, it's not like it was randomly placed in the wrong spot by a customer....so the girl had to change the price on the register which she did really quickly like she does it 100 times a day... yikes!
Beware of that! Always know the price of something if it seems a little strange...
This whole shopping center is funky. It's not completed yet, but I don't have much reason to go back. If anything, I might go to Ulta because I heart Ulta and it's the only one in San Jose, but the rest of the center just irritates me for some reason.
Love this new Target at the corner of Curtner and Monterey Hwy. Clean store with plenty of close parking in the new "Plant" shopping center. Seems like not many people have found this new location and therefore cashier lines are usually short! They have a pharmacy, Starbucks and food as well. Traffic's a bit slow around there right now due to the road construction to get it ready for the influx of shoppers to the many new stores being built. Definitely better than the Target at Oakridge!
Target has always been one of my favorite places to shop at. I came to this one for the first time this last weekend and I loved it. They have HUGE clearance sections!
The store was clean and tidy and I loved the fact that they was plenty of parking and no traffic getting in or out of the shopping center; although, I'm sure that will change.
After about 4 months in operation, this Target still looks brand spankin' new to me. The layout is similar to the Story/King location. It's clean, well-stocked, and the parking area seems to look pretty empty at times (YAY, don't have to worry about parking snatchers and people on parking rage). I love that I can shop here worry-free (NO long lines, parking issues, cluttered fitting rooms, dirty restrooms, and rude employees - FOR NOW). Since the majority of the shopping center that houses this Target is still under major construction, a lot of people just seem to bypass it. I'm assuming a lot of people don't think it's open yet because of the surrounding construction.

The holidays are coming round...they're coming round, they're coming round...sing it people, you know you had that damn song stuck in your head all winter....
This is my new favorite Target, livin on the east side of Willow Glen makes my travel time here about 5 minutes, no joke. That is when the creepy Canoas Garden Transients are jay walking in front of my Honda.
This place is always clean and whenever I have needed something the employees have been super helpful. Man, when I dinged the jewelry counter bell for help the lady must have dropped down from the ceiling in a red cape....
I like the parking situation right now becuase no one knows it is open and the rest of the center is not open yet. Also, I really really really like the food here. I am a lover of the Target Archer Farms brand. The coffee, dried fruit, desserts etc, all good.
The only reason for four stars - no garden center....so Coleman edges the Monterey red dot out of five....

This is *my* new Target! It is still clean and the parking lot isn't sticky! It's great :) Everything is well organized and in it's place! Employees are nice too, seems like they genuinely want to help.

To be honest, I'm a Wal-Mart fan, and have been for many, many years now. But, after going to this Target how can I ever go back to Wal-Mart?
Maybe, since it is still a heavy construction area, the crowds aren't that big and the store is ALWAYS clean and tidy, is why I love it so much! But last night, we went and I almost died when I saw their clearance section of their Global Bizzarre! Why did the fiance even direct me to that area! It's not like we have any more room in our barely 700sq ft apartment to add any more lamps, mirrors, or chairs and beautiful little trinkets! Ugh!
The shelves are always full and everything is always in its place!
I love the fact that this Target is still so new that everything is not completely destroyed- yet it's been around long enough for me to find some killer deals on clearance. I found a super cute skirt for work for $1.25. Yeah- I know! That's what the girl at the register said too, "WHAT? How much? Damn girl- that's a cute skirt!" I also found a lot of clearance Juicy Juice drink box packs for my son and other random things to pack my daughter's lunch with. I was able to save even more with a Target coupon that I received in the mail for $5.00 off of any $25.00 grocery purchase. I was actually surprised that I was able to complete my dry goods shopping at Target. Getting half of the grocery shopping and scoring a super cute skirt all in one place just makes sense. I love you Target. Keep the coupons coming!

Another big box Target?!? Its ridiculous at how there are so many Targets within 10 miles of each other. (Oakridge Mall, Hillsdale, Silver Creek, Story/King, Deanza, and Coleman) and now Monterey. McKee and Morrill aren't really that far either.
Its clean, its new. I only been here twice because I go to Oakridge one alot more because I live over there, but other than that its your typical Target. Nothing too crazy about it.

I'm afraid I like this target better without the crowds due to the construction. I'll be sad when the shopping center is packed with people! It has a starbucks inside which is a plus and is only one floor. This is a great target store.
*Note: I hate the yellow speed bump at the entrance? Why in the hell did they add that? It's so annoying pushing your cart over it. Again I have a daughter and it always wakes her when she sleeping! I've never seen that at a target before.
I just came home from this new Target, and I love it because there is hardly anybody in there! I have never walked into a Target store and have a so many sales associate ask me if I was finding everything OK or needed help finding something. I had about 6 sales associates approach me (Non were cute either :P ) One sales associate walked all over the store to find what I was looking for I was very impressed. This store is bigger, clean and well organized. LOVE IT!!!

I came here in the middle of the day on Christmas Eve...walked in and out in ten minutes..with exactly what I came for in hand. You know what they say about first impressions...I will be back!
This store is finally open. There's construction going around everywhere in the area though.
The entry to the store is from Tully Rd, or Monterrey Hwy.
This store is one of the bigger Target's I've seen. Since its new, good thing is that everything is stocked up. They also have some new store specials going on
The store has Pizza Hut Express as well as a Starbucks. Once all construction is complete, this shopping area would be really great
I am glad to have a Target store in walking distance from where I stay!

I went here on a Friday night because I knew it was a newer Target, and in all likelihood it wouldn't be too busy: a godsend when going Christmas shopping. I arrived at around 8:30 and the parking lot wasn't super crowded, and the store had some foot traffic, but you could tell that it wasn't super, super busy.
I returned some toys because they weren't included on my niece and nephew's wish lists, and it was a simple, no hassle return with the receipt.
I also picked up a present for my sister for my bro-in-law. The little "fruit" product came with a $15 gift card, so it worked out quite well.
Yay for Target ... and this will be the other place I'll check out for 90% Christmas items. Like I said in my other review ... don't take all my stuff. I'll cut you!
Wow! What a nice, new Target store this is. I had some business to attend to in the area and needed to stop in. At first I had been thinking; yeah, last thing the world needs is another Target, Best Buy, etc. But I was sure impressed here.
Maybe because it's so new, the paint still smells new. Maybe because it's so new, the aisles are stocked full of everything you need and its neat and spotlessly clean. Maybe because it's so new hardly anyone is here and the sales people are super friendly, smiley, helpful and nice and so are the clients too.
Got what I needed, plus a cutie snowman for my front porch I didn't know I needed and was out the door in a jiffy. Wow! Great parking, Pizza Hut and Starbucks inside too. I'll certainly come back here when I need the Target fix. I hate the Oakridge location and Hillsdale is just as much of a drive as this one is and, it's crowded and not new!
Located at the old GE location (across from Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery is a brand spankin' new Target!
"How new is it, Ninja?"
Well people...it's so new, when you walk down the aisles, your shoes make that squeaking noise!
OK, seriously this Target just opened October 9th and it shows: all shelves are full and product perfectly "faced", clothes tidy and still arranged by size, and even those $1 toiletry and sundry items in the metal bins are stacked. I mean seriously, it felt almost Twilight Zone-ish that the store was too perfect. Of course, give it a couple weeks and all that will change but it was refreshing regardless.
Other than that, it is a pretty standard Target store (layout is almost a carbon-copy of the Cupertino location) although it is a bit larger than most stores. The store also features a Starbucks and small food court area, if you are into getting your frappamachiato on while shopping.
Parking shouldn't be an issue since this yet-to-be-named shopping center is HUGE. So far, the only known stores here are Best Buy, Home Depot, & Petsmart but there are about two other large size stores (similar to this Target in size) and currently 5-6 smaller sized stores that have yet to be filled. I'll be curious to see how this center looks this time next year once everything is up and running.
NOTE: I find it funny how the store receipt reads "Target-San Jose Central" because I always thought of this area as southern San Jose.

Very nice new and well packed store. I'll also be sad when the shopping center is packed with people! I can expect that it will a traffic mess once everything in the shopping center has opened.
target sure seems to beat out wal mart when it comes to opening stores in San Jose, think that wal mart would open more to compete, since it is left to them in the absense of k mart. Seems like everywhere a Target goes in, a K mart was some number of miles near it, like oakridge, which k mart was across the street from, or the Coleman, where a Kmart was like 5 minutes up the freeway. giving it 3 stars for the horrible parking lot set up, thought the store is nice.

horrible customer service. I came in there to buy my xbox 360 and a controller. They said they will take off 10% if I bought there service plan so I did. When they rang everything up it came out normal price. I asked why and they said oh it's cuz you arent paying with a check or a target credit card while they were charging my card. When I got the recepit I saw they added it on when I clearly told them I dont want it no more. So I went to customer service to get it changed. I went home and called H.R. to complain about it cuz they were tryin to do a bad job of tricking me to there stuff. H.R. told me they have to give it to me for the discount because they promised me with no strings attached. When we called back the store manager was not willing to work with with me and that he wasnt going to listen. What the hell isnt the store manager suppose to listen to customers complaints??? I am really not satisfied with this store and I am going to go some where else even thou its only 5 min away from me.
