I like to stop in here once in a while for a carne asada burrito, but my wife does not like it come bedtime.... lol Anyway, They have big ol' burritos and they throw in a bag of chips with your take out order. They have a little self serve bar with all kindsa salsas and jalapenos and what not. Good value for $.
Don't stop in on an early Sunday afternoon though. The christians flood this place when church lets out. -

I came here with Christine G. after visiting the shooting range. We decided to split a burrito, as we were both not TOO hungry.
me: "What should we get?"
her: "Burrito?"
me: "I was just thinking that too!"
her: "Can we get no beans?"
me: "YESSSSS!"
It's so rare to have a perfect burrito companion like her!
Anyways, the girl at the register was really friendly. She let us know that her favorite was carne asada, so carne asada we had! We proceeded to sit outside in front of the restaurant. What a perfect afternoon, people watching and eating lunch in a cute downtown area. The burrito was large, and very meaty (just how I like it ;). Splitting it between the two of us ended up being just perfect! -

After a lovely fun time at Barnwood Arms, my friend and I wanted some grub, so we asked the folks at the range what was the best place to eat. Someone said that the Mexican place two doors down was the bomb, so we took his word and headed down the street.
The burrito we shared was the perfect size. It was full of meat, rice, and cheese, and the salsa from the salsa bar was super tasty with the chips and on the burrito.
They have a ton of choices, but we decided to stick with the good ol' burrito. And the outdoor seating was perfect for the sunny afternoon. Next time I'm passing by Ripon, I'll definitely stop by and try out more of their menu! -

We love this place, it's not the best taqueria, but it's pretty close. Great burritos and the nacho's are bad either. They have a great selection of salsa too! Friendly staff and the place is clean!

Best Pastor and Carnitas around. Food is very good and pricing is very reasonable. My favorite Mexican food in the area.

Taqueria Ripon never disappoints! I really like this place. Their burritos are HUGE and they're really good. And they have a great salsa bar. The food I've gotten there has always been good (and they're fast.)
The ambiance inside is nice and relaxing as well. They also have a couple tables and chairs outside if you want to sit out there and take in the cute downtown area. :) -

Are you ready for the best nachos you've ever had? Check out Taqueria Ripon. The chips are fresh, the veggies are fresh and the meat is perfectly cooked. The prices are really low and you will not leave hungry. The nachos are more then enough of a meal but if you're REALLY hungry get a bean and cheese burrito to go with it, they're awesome. I know its just beans and cheese, you can get that anywhere right? Then why are they so good at Taqueria?
The only thing that keeps me from giving Taqueria 5 stars is the service. I don't know if my voice has a tone that people tune out or what but the staff seems to have no concept of "no onions". I hate raw onions and I always order no onions but thats a gamble at Taqueria. If there is something you don't want on your meal make sure you check your order before you take it home because there is nothing worse then driving home, the smell of that great food filling your nostrals, then sitting down to eat and finding your food covered in whatever it is you asked them to omit. Spell out your order VERY clearly, double check it, then take it home and enjoy some of the best local Mexican food Ripon has to offer.
NO $%&^@#% ONIONS! -

My coworkers and I call this the place "The Giant Rooster", simply because there are huge metal roosters on the wall inside. Now for my review...This place is awesome!! We typically eat here once a week for lunch and could probably eat here 3-4 times a week and not get sick of it. I have had the burrito with just about every type of meat (no lengua or cabeza though) and the nachos too. I LOVE the nachos. They are huge and fabulous tasting. The only probem is that I feel guilty eating chips and salsa when I order nachos, but the chips and salsa are so good I eat them anyway. There salsa bar has 3 types of salsa, a guacamole, and some sort of slaw. All are great.
Okay, here is a secret for nacho lovers. I have never finished the full size nachos. It is really a TON of food. You have to trust me on this one. Order the half nachos. They are exactly the same, but come on a smaller plate. They are not really on the menu. The secret is that you are actually ordering the childrens nachos. If you can get over your ego, you'll find that you get plenty of food for like $4.Listed in: My Ripon hang outs

Typical taqueria food. I love the lime-aid juice. Very tart and sweet.
I ordered the tilapia fish tacos. I thought it would be pan fried, but actually it was breaded and fried. Didn't really like it. It was fishy. My husband ordered the quesadilla with ham. It was ginormous. I shared a slice of his and left my tacos on the plate.
He comes here on a weekly basis since he works close by. Don't order the fish tacos, but everything on the menu is very good especially the nachos I hear. -

A solid choice for Mexican food, the adopted cuisine of Ripon.
With its wide variety of basic Mexican standbys you can't go wrong. Service is pretty quick, and the ambiance is good for one of the cheaper restaurants in town. Self-serve salsa bar is awesome, it ensures everyone gets something they want and helps wash down burritos with too much rice. -

Best salsa bar and good prices. Food is good but the meat is not top quality. That's my only 'beef'..... Otherwise I'd eat here all the time.

this is the second best restaurant within a 20 yard radius. the chips are good the people are nice there are fountain drinks and a salsa bar. they normally have unavision playing on the TV, which sucks but whatever.
Every time ive come here i have had the super quesadilla and it has been too much to eat, which doesn't really happen to me much. in fact, it almost offended me. there are a couple of downsides, mainly that it is in ripon. also, there needs to be a point at which adding cheese to something ceases to make it better. its a pretty high level of cheese, and surprisingly they reach it.
calm down, quesoman -

This is another place I come to all the time when Game On was open there are other Mexican places around there are too many in Ripon but this place is just awesome. The prices are great and food is even better. Portions are so big I dont know how i manage to finish so much food plus the chips everytime. The only thing I dont like about it is they have tvs in the corners and I find myself watching tv for a long time while Im eating and not talking to my friends while im there. If you are looking for a place to order quick Mexican food in a nice enviorment this is the place to come
