Nestled in between an Adelbertos (good Mexican chain) and a Jimboys (so-so Mexican food chain)......this Taqueria dishes up some tasty Mexican cuisine. Love the birria, made from real live goats! Baaaaaaa (LOL).
Also their carnitas, lengua, and chorizo breakfast plates are very good.
I'm now wondering if there are any connections to the "Taqueria Lupita" in West Sacramento (coupon in Entertainment book). -

The only problem I have with this place is with the chips. They keep the chips in a plastic compartment with no heat lamp so they are generally always stale but I usually bury them in salsa at the salsa bar anyways. For all u gringos out there heres a little tip, u can usually tell a good mexican food joint when all the customers are mexicanos and trust me this is a good one. Try the Chile Rellenos they are damn near perfect, the chicken chimiganga is the bomb too. That is the only two things i have actually eaten there because everytime i go there i get a 24 oz corona while i wait for my chile rellenos and have another 24oz to wash it down. I LOVE A PLACE THAT BRINGS U A REAL 24 OZ TO THE TABLE WITH NO SHAME, SHOOT IF THEY HAD 40'S I'D GIVE EM FIVE STARS!

One of my favorites are the carne asada tacos....man they are not at all selfish with the meat they put on these babies! Flavorful and delicious. I tried their tongue taco, it was okay, just wished it was more grilled.

This place has some good chips and salsa and the food is overall pretty good but it's really nothing amazing. They serve alcohol, which is awesome, because I love a cold beer with my Mexican food.
