This place closed down my last year of college because some punks from Sacramento came over and knifed one of the owners in the face. And who says that crime doesn't happen in Davis?

I have many happy memories of munching on boba and spicy chicken in this closet-sized space while chuckling at the people on the DDR machine (or secretly envying their skill).

Hopefully someday they'll open another one. The tapioca was better here than at Old Teahouse for sure.

Yes, it's true.  This place has closed!  I wonder why?  I know they got a lot of business from college students.  Last time I was in Davis (around Oct 2007?) we wanted some tapioca and was suprised to find Tap Ex closed!

This was my favorite tapioca place in Davis.  I used to come here all the time.  The chicken was good.  My favorite drink at Tap Ex is the jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly or tapioca.

I heard this place is close. I don't live in davis anymore so i don't know.  But i used to be a regular here UNTIL the cashier girl gave me someone else's order and charged me double cus i took a bite out of the wrong order (i ordered fried calamari. she gave me fried chicken. in my defense, i was hungry and all the fried stuff looked the same!)  What a biatch. I'm not surpised its out of business.

Odd service and menu options, decent Boba tea.

It's a very weird ambiance with the whole DDR scene in the corner.

Oh no! Did this place really close???? Writing about Boba in LA made me remember this place and how it was/is my MOST FAVORITE Boba place EVER! WHY WHY WHY would it close? Tell me it ain't so!!!!!!!!!
If by some miracle, it's still open, you GOT TO GET THE TAP CHICKEN w/ an Iced Mocha or Iced Latta w/ Boba! It's the BEST combo! But if you don't like that stuff, you could easily find something else as there are over 100 choices here!
Hahah - the DDR machine - wow, that brings back memories! Ditto on the "please kill that thing" sentiment!

Great boba and Tap Chicken!

So Asian it makes me (Chinese) uncomfortable. Somebody kill that DDR machine...

Street parking. Close to the strip mall lots a few blocks down. Don't recall if it accepts credit cards.
