I've been to Tapas Teatro a few times, mostly for drinks (only once for food). The staff are pretty friendly. I wouldn't say overly friendly, but again, I've only sat down one time so that really may not be the most accurate description. Anyway, they are reasonably priced, the drinks are good and they make a great Disaronno Martini, which no one ever seems to know how to make. Unfortunately, it's been a while since I ate the food there, so I can't be too descriptive with it, but I can tell you that everything we got was delicious. The one food item that sticks out in my mind is a meatball dish (see? I can't even remember exactly what kind of meatballs they were). It was SO good!

I'd definitely go back, but tapas aren't cheap so I'll go when my wallet gains a few extra bucks.

mmm tapas. Tapas are insanely fun. I love the concept of ordering a bunch of small plates and sharing them with the table. It's like being at a party, but more intimate. The open doors, tea lights, and dim lighting added to the ambiance.

The dishes at Tapas Teatro are enjoyable. I like the calamari dishes. They know how to cook calamari. The eggplant dish is similar to eggplant parm. Tasty! The sangria is standard and to me is a must try for fun.

Being that it is attached to The Charles, the location is perfect. Very charming.

A wonderfully classy place in a neighborhood you might not expect. Sweeping ceilings, a walkthrough directly to the Charles Theater next door, friendly servers and very decent food: Tapas Teatro is a welcome addition to my dining repertoire. Definitely a destination during the warmer months.

The white sangria is, as many have said, delicious. It's very fruity (the last batch I had was almost overpowering in its peach flavor) - but usually very balanced. Actually in the two years I've been dining at Tapas Teatro I realize I haven't had any other kind of drink than the sangrias! Whoops.

As for the food, the more unique the combinations, the happier I am. I've tried the paella, and it is saaaaalty. Probably pre-made and simmering for a little too long. In the summer months I prefer cold tapas: my favorites being the quail egg on crostini with chorizo (I dare you to find a better, more upscale version of this, the perfect hangover food), and the pintxos - green pea puree, hardboiled egg, smoked trout, aioli, topped with trout roe. Wonderfully refreshing, packed with protein, perfect little bites. Great for a light lunch.

I've also quite enjoyed any specials they've put before me - one standout was a grilled prawn (head on), finished very simply (lemon, salt, parsley) but WOW was it an explosion of flavors. The shrimp popped in my mouth and the head (oh yes, we sucked the brains out) was filled with rich, salty flavors that perfectly complemented the freshness of the shrimp itself.

My advice: get a little bit out of your comfort zone here! If you can't pronounce it, try it! They play around with a lot of different flavors, some bold, some subtle, but all worth trying at least once. Oh yeah, and maybe skip the paella.

A much needed update.  I have since gone back a few times specifically for their grilled sardines.  They are divine!!  You have an option to get them fried or grilled, definitely go for the grilled.  You get whole sardines, so ask for the heads to be cut off before they bring them out if that'll make it easier for you to eat them.  You can eat all of it, bones and all, and it is really, really good.

One of my favorite places in Baltimore. I love the fact that you can buy your drinks and take them to Charles Theater.

While the menu is not very diverse (for a tapas place), I do enjoy the food even though it's a bit overpriced. Some of the cocktails are very good as well. Such as the habanero mango martini.

Wrong wrong wrong. I used to look forward to eating here while I wait for someone to pick me up from the bolt bus stop - but totally disappointing. My favorite dish ever was the pea fritters which have somehow turned whack there.  I also loved the spinach tapas dish which doesn't exist on the menu anymore. The sangria is decent and I still like hanging out at the bar with the knowledgable bartenders, but the food experience has diluted down to standard and unspectacular.

I never, ever thought I'd be giving this restaurant a two star rating. My roommate and I have been here a couple of times and had a great night each time. We'd split a pitcher of sangria, order two tapas and some flan for dessert and be out of the door for $40 total plus tip. As a just-for-two restaurant, I'd say it's still one of my favorites.

Last night, however, was an unforgivably different story. My family was coming to visit and I wanted to show them a nice restaurant and thought I'd take them here. I called around noon to try and make a reservation, but they said they didn't take them. Even when I said it was a fairly large party (9 people) and we'd NEED a reservation on a Friday night, they still said they'd be able to find us a table without one. We show up at 7:30 and are told it will be a half hour wait. So we sat at the bar, only to be told that such a large group couldn't just "hang out" and take up bar space. We ordered a few glasses of wine and waited. Half an hour later we are told they have the table and it will just be another 15 minutes.

Literally 2 hours went by. I'm not exaggerating, either. I saw them giving away tables to smaller parties, which could have been easily put together to form a bigger table. We only stayed because every 15 minutes or so the hostess came over to flat out lie to us and say it would be just another few minutes. We finally just left because it was a little ridiculous.

I understand it's a popular restaurant and they turn over a lot of tables each night, but they should at least take reservations for large parties. Or, you know, not treat parties like the scum of the earth.

By the way, the drinks we didn't even want totaled to $50.

I'll echo everyone else's sentiments on how delicious the sangria is ((I enjoyed the white sangria wayy more than the red)) and how inviting the ambiance is. Pssst .. order the Bistec-something-something, itlooked & smelled sO good. Loved the outdoor seating even with the random flocks of crackheads and clubhoppers walking by ..gotta love East Balimore!

I just moved into a new place down the street from Tapas Teatro, and will most definitely be back! Went with a couple friends on a Tuesday, for some sangria and a small bite (how perfect! small plates.)

It was around 9:45, we sat outside, the weather was perfect. We L-O-V-E-D our waiter, Chris. He made us laugh, and was brutally honest about the menu, which was so very appreciated.

We ordered the sauteed shrimp, the goat cheese with marinara, and a tuna plate that was on special, all three advised personally by Chris. Shrimp were killer, as were mentioned, prepared in a sautee with salty capers and hot pepper that woke your mouth up just enough. Goat cheese & marinara dish was a nice companion, with little olive oiled crostinis to soak it up (could have used more goat cheese, but I'm a fiend for the stuff so maybe I'm biased).

The rare tuna thing that was on special ended up being half a hard-boiled egg, a small pepperoncini and the rare tuna, speared into a small tower. Honest opinion from the whole table: each thing in the tower was good, but could have just stood on its own. It tasted great, just wasn't the most cohesive dish in terms of flavors.

The sangria at this place is THE BOMB, and right now it's only $10 per pitcher ( YAY!!!!) because they are celebrating their 10-year anniversary.

We drank one pitcher of white, and followed it with two pitchers of red, because we're awesome. But I gotta say-- this stuff is sooooo effing delicious, not too sweet, and perfect for balmy Baltimore summer nights.

I'm loving my new neighborhood already.

Two foreigners with brave hearts and hungry stomachs, though discriminating palettes, were once trapped at nearby Penn Station without a ride coming for a few hours, and nary a clue of the neighborhood's nourishments. They wandered fortuitously to the outside seating of Tapas Teatro.

The Filipino longed for rice, but was just as happy with his risotto and baby potato for starch. Of course he quite enjoyed the hearty omelet and delicate steamed mussels he fancied on the menu. The Swede just wanted Vodka. Just kidding, he wanted to eat, too, but was less picky with his grilled chicken with cumin and grilled lamb chops. They continued to, with both sophistication and bluntness, ravage the menu well into the night. The two became very fat.

A cool glass of water and a bottle of cold beer clinked in the warm evening air, joined by the word 'cheers' from the content mouths of two foreigners visiting Baltimore--charmed by one of Charm City's gastronome gems.

I honestly love the atmosphere.  You have Art District.  The independent Theater next door.  Colorful patrons.  Great Wait Staff.  It was a little cramped but I believe that was part of the appeal.

We sat outside.  It was a gorgeous day, and the wait wasn't that long.  The Sangria was good.

The pulled pork was a little salty.  Other dishes were ok.  By far my favorite was the lamb chops.  I would definitively recommend the place for people wanted to hang out or guys trying to impress a date.

My main gripe with Tapas Teatro is how expensive it is. I'm willing to pay if it's worth it, but I feel like the portions are truly tiny (even for tapas) and not always that tasty. Whenever I come here with a friend we order about 6-8 tapas for a full meal. There were some favorites, like the calamari and molasses smoked salmon (an unusual and delicious flavor). The specials are also worth looking into.

In terms of Spanish tapas, this might be the best Baltimore has to offer, but objectively in terms of tapas, the food is rather disappointing. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're REALLY craving tapas and not willing to travel. It's right next to the Charles Theater (meaning also near the JHMI shuttle stop), which is convenient, but if I'm hungry and in the area, I'd rather go to Minato or Sofi's Crepes instead.

I'm neither overwhelmed or underwhelmed by Tapas Teatro. The restaurant is one of the nicer, yet charmingly casual, restaurants in the city, and although I wouldn't go here for a special occasion, it's the perfect place for a group to go on a low key night and have nice quiet conversations over drinks.

And that's what strikes me first about Tapas Teatro - they sure created an incredibly atmosphere. The restaurant is dimly lit, there are high ceilings, and a great sound track (just tonight I heard The XX and RJD2). The waitstaff is courtesy, professional and well trained, and I have never had to wait very long until the firsts tapas start rolling out of the kitchen.

However, the food somewhat loses me. The menu feels a little old and tired - I wish there would be new dishes rotating in and out. I've never been a huge fan of their meat dishes - so I would play it safe and go with some classics like the simple salad, almond-encrusted manchego, or pea fritters. It can all be a little expensive, especially because tapas add up, but it's fun to splurge once in a while.

They do know their wines and have a great selection, so I recommend taking advantage of that if you don't mind a pricier meal. And do not skip dessert. The panna cotta is done perfectly and you must try it.

Baltimore has become a breeding ground for Tapas - Spanish style restaurant such as Pazo, Kali's Court, Meli, and Mezze to name a few. If you venture away from Harbor East/Fells point you will come across Tapas Teatro, located next to the Charles Theater. Tapas Teatro doesn't have the notoriety as Pazo or Kali's but the food definitely delivers without breaking the bank.

The menu at Tapas Teatro seems to be a seasonal, constantly changing the compilation of ingredients in season and whatever is on the chef's mind that month. The menu is broken down into six categories - hot starters, cold starters, cheese & charcuterie, vegetarian mezze, meat mezze, and seafood mezze. There are a lot of options on the menu so be prepared to study the menu before ordering. I finally decided on the serrano ham (a Spanish classic), grilled sardines, and the lamb chops.

Let me just start by saying that Spanish ham is the best-cured pork you can eat. In fact, on a recent travel to Spain, Italian chef Mario Batali mentioned how even Italian ham is not as good as Spanish ham. The ham at Tapas Teatro is a bit similar to prosciutto, but has a more spiced, rosemary aroma to it. When you eat it you notice the rich, lusciousness of the pork and is accentuated by the drizzling of Spanish EVOO. I could have eaten three portions of this alone. My second favorite thing I ate was the grilled sardines, which was a portion of three incredibly fresh 6-inch whole sardines. The char from the open fire gave the fish a smoky salty flavor, which was wonderful. Eating the sardines is a bit of work because you have to fiddle to get the meat away from the small bones but the reward is worth it. The last item I ordered was the grilled lamb chops with a rhubarb barbeque sauce. This dish was good, but was probably my least favorite of the evening. The lamb wasn't as tender as lamb chops usually are. I also felt that the glossy bbq sauce was very over powering and tasted too much of ketchup. I would likes to see the lamb possibly prepared with sprigs of rosemary and shavings of raw shallots, maybe with a demiglace - now that sounds good. I also had a chance to sample the gazpacho, which was perfectly refreshing on a humid Baltimore night.

The service and attentiveness of the staff was very good. When I dined at Tapas Teatro the restaurant was slammed with theatergoers trying to have a quick bite before their show at the Charles. Despite that, our food came out very quickly and everything was the appropriate temperature. Also, as a part of their ten-year anniversary, Tapas Teatro is offering pitchers of Sangria for $10 for the rest of June.

All in all, I always enjoy my dining experience at Tapas Teatro; the food is authentic and unpretentious. Usually I am not a fan of tapas, but Tapas Teatro seems to have a winning formula.

I've been wanting to come here for years and finally had the chance.  Oh boy was it good!  A little crowded, a little cramped, but the food was delicious.  I shared with some friends--let's see, I had grilled eggplant, fried onion rings with a most delectable sauce, fried mushrooms, roasted potatoes.  My friends were raving about the duck, though I didn't have any, and they were also quite fond of the lamb meatballs.

For dessert, we had the fried cheese drizzled with honey and truffle oil.  That was really great, too.

The sangria was delicious but not at all strong. It was more like drinking juice than wine.  But that's okay.  A good time was had by all.

    Wow.

I don't even know where to start.  First of all when on a date I don't really care where we go as long as its not mcdonalds, and the setting is dim and welcoming for good conversation.  TT is definitely the joint for a good start to a good night.

The restaurant itself its pretty small but full of character.  Watch the table legs, they will get you as the date quickly noticed.  Its dimly lit, and the kitchen is pretty open so you can see whatever it is people want to see when they look into a kitchen.  (sweaty chefs, stacked dishes, food?)

The menu is EXTENSIVE and from someone who loves asparagus this place really tickled my fancy.  Arugula salad (which I typically live off of), tempura like asparagus, green beans and asparagus, I also tried the sauteed spinach which was awkward.  It had a maple syrup finish to it which really caught me off guard.  The cowboy steak was fantastic and a huge portion for the $9 price point.

The date got an omelet and it was humungous, so big he didn't finish it.  It looked wonderful, and had truffles (if i remember correctly.)

They don't have st germain, but they do have the sister liquor (the ginger one) Domaine de Canton.  I settled for vanilla vodka and coke, although I saw the sangria flowing like water at most tables.  I wanted to try it, but I figured since I was going dancing I didnt want something that was going to give me the hankerin for a nap.

The server was easy, nice, and accommodating to changing just about everything on the menu to my heart's desire.  The date forgot his scarf and the manager was kind enough to grab me on my way out to return it.  :)

Baltimore is very lucky to have such an awesome restaurant.  I can't wait to come back.

I have been going to Tapas Teatro for years and it's never disappointed. It has always been on the top of my list both for romantic dates and for girlie get-togethers.

The atmosphere is warm and intimate. The decor has been artfully-designed without being too pretentious. Seating is a bit tight but I don't mind getting to know new neighbors. It's especially nice in warmer weather when you can sit outside and take in the city sites and sounds. Dishes are always carefully prepared. My all-time fave is the creamy spinach and crabmeat, (I would like my last meal to be drowned in that sauce) but you can never go wrong with any of their specials. Recently, I had brussels sprouts sauteed in truffle oil and parmesan cheese that were deelish! Wines are moderately priced and the sangria is substantial.

Some basics: They don't take reservations, so on Friday/Saturday nights expect to wait a bit. A bonus is that you can grab a drink at the bar and recline in seating at the adjoining Charles Theatre. Street parking is not too bad, but it's easy enough to just pull into the lot across the street and pay a meager $2 for the night.

To be honest i went to this place twice and the first time I went I wasn't pleased with my food. To me the dishes were very nefarious to the point they were lacking hue and brightness. The first time I tried the sautéed spinach with garlic, the dish was bland, barely tasted the garlic and it was swimming in olive oil. The only highlight of that trip was the shrimp in garlic. That was the only appetizing thing I ate that night. The second time, the only reason I stopped in was the Lost City Dinner was packed as usual with the hipsters and it was standing room only. So Tapas Teatro got a second chance and they bombed yet again. This time I tried their squash dish because it was over powered by paprikia. I am not a fan of that spice. Just like a vampire hates garlic. The one plus of this place they have moderately priced drinks and great sangria. I can only recommend this place for drinks unfortunately.

    2. They want you to wait and spend money at their bar and in turn even after waiting  get anything.
    3. I went there with lots of excitement and got my friends from outside the city  but had to cut a sorry face ...
My advice stay away unless you can wait for more than hour in cold or spend money at bar

Four tapas and one dessert for two people came out to $42. Not bad at all! Here's the rundown:

Manchego - Spanish version of mozzarella sticks! The manchego was battered and fried and delicious. It was delicious at first, but it got a little disgusting when it cooled. Eat it up!

Asparagus with serrano ham - I was hoping for a little more ham, but it was still good. The sherry-butter sauce was pretty unique. Almost a little vinegar-y--in a good way, of course.

Flat iron steak - YUM. Our server recommended this steak dish and another over the beef escalope. We chose the steak and we were glad we did! It came with caper-scented olive oil, and capers themselves made a showing, too! We had to fight our servers to let them keep our plate because we wanted to finish those capers!

Rock shrimp - How do you spell butter? Answer: R-O-C-K S-H-R-I-M-P. If you're a butter or garlic lover, you will love this dish. It's really nothing fancy, but you can never ever go wrong with butter garlic shrimp at a tapas restaurant.

Raspberry chocolate cheesecake cake - The name is a little redundant, but the cheesecake cake itself was delicious. I loved the thin layer of raspberry sauce on top of the cake, complete with that unmistakeable texture of raspberry seeds. The cake was just sweet enough, just rich enough and just big enough.

This is a great date place - even at 4:00 on a Sunday, the restaurant was filled with light coming from the ceiling-high windows and buzz coming from the other very happy diners. Even though it took me two hours to get here from Silver Spring (stupid St. Patrick's Day parade!!), it was great.

Thank you homeless man on Conway for directing traffic, thank you Jenny for being born so we could celebrate, and thank you Tapas Teatro for a great evening!

Two years later I give them another star for the sangria, to me, after a movie and you want to talk about the plot, this is the place to go for some red sangria with fruit bits in it. Still haven't explored the menu, but love  the sangria, the atmosphere and also tried the vinho verde wine whcih is Portugese and delightfully sparkly. Always something new to try here, drinkwise.

Totally solid tapas place, and great for pre-movie dining (there's even a special door to The Charles so you don't have to brave the mean sidewalks of Baltimore.)

We came in on Sunday evening and the place was fairly packed, with a slightly older (middle-aged) crowd.  We ate at the bar, and received attentive and quick service.  We were immediately provided with a small bowl of bread and olives, etc.

I forgot to try to the sangria, but the malbec I had was decent.  While their wine list seems to offer good variety, their beer selection (all bottles) is pretty weak.

There were lots of options for vegetarians.  We tried two specials: an arugula pear salad with blue cheese, which was excellent, and a roasted beet dish with pistachio-infused whipped cream, because it sounded interesting.  The beets were kind of uninteresting, it turned out.  We also had the fried manchego (like a mozzarella stick - won't be ordering that again) and the potato and cheese croquettes (like fried mashed potato balls - pretty good but a little bland).

For dessert, we had the server's recommendation, the goat cheese cheesecake.  It was quite tasty.

Overall, the food was decent; of what we tried, nothing was terrible, although nothing knocked our socks off.  The ambiance was nice; it wasn't too loud or too lifeless either.  The service was excellent and fast: we had no trouble finishing our whole meal in 45 minutes to make it to the movies next door.

I am a total sucker for tapas and sangria, so my first meal in Baltimore had to be here.

The wait was pretty long, and we sat in the the Charles Theater which is right next door and has a very eclectic feel.  We dined outside, and since there was probably only one server out there, it took a while for him to get around.  From what I've read, that's pretty typical on the weekend.

We tried the red sangria, and it was decent, as well as decently priced :)  For dinner, we got the crab meat in spinach and the spicy croquettes to start.  They were both really good, but I must say I preferred the croquettes. They were so warm and gooey with cheese and chicken *drool*.   For an entree, my friend and I shared the tapas seafood bowl.  It was probably a 3 person task, but we were starving and finished the whole thing.  The combination of clams, shrimp, and mussels was just what we needed to satisfy our seafood craving.

They had a special that night, but by the time we got there, they were sold out.  Apparently (according to the server), the monkfish medallions are a huge hit.

All in all, the dinner was great, and I am looking forward to a return visit.

I came here for my birthday ! Great atmosphere and attentive waiters. Water was constantly filled and our server checked up on us a few times. My friends and I shared the classic spanish paella and grilled lamb chops. I got panna cotta for dessert. The paella was so good, it came with all sorts of seafood and meat. There were clams, shrimp, mussels, lamb, fish. The lamb chops were only 2 servings, it was smaller than I expected. Nonetheless, it was still reasonable for the price we paid and the portions we got. The panna cotta was absolutely delectable. It had a soft custard texture with strawberry flavor, there were pieces of pecans and a couple of blackberries on top with a berry glaze to top it off. Definitely coming here again next time, maybe for the seafood bowl and more tapas please!!

I really wanted to hate this place after the useless (I was dying to tell her, "You're as useless as a poopy flavored lollipop!") hostess seated us at what I found to be a crappy table after an unnecessary wait.  There were tables outside; however, we weren't "money" enough for them, I guess?  You know what, though?  It turned out to be a pretty good table.  And even better, we were lucky enough to be seated in Molly's section -- she rocked.

Read Dane K's review for the menu... I knocked off a star because the white sangria was weak, too light and overly sweet and the hostess truly felt she was fabulous when, in fact, she sucked.

Got dinner and drinks here last Sunday with 2 of my girlfriends and was it was waaay better than the couple times I have been here. Instead of waiting an hour we were immediately seated outside right under a heat lamp, this maybe have been because it was 8pm on a Sunday but whatever, I was happy.

Service was much better and very attentive. We got a pitcher of sangria to drink and to eat we shared the pea fritters, mussels, sauteed spinach, bruschetta, pumpkin cake and chocolate royale. Everything was delicious, especially the pea fritters and the pumpkin cake.

Tapas Teatro is back in my good graces fo sho

I came here for a second time with an out of town friend. $3.75 Stella Artois and a good specials list made it a delicious night. The servers and hostess were very helpful and humorous, and food came quickly. The sauce that came with our fried calamari was excellent and made a perfect complement to the calamari. Cumin chicken was cooked to tender perfection and went nicely with the cumin mayonnaise, which was tangy and smooth. On the other hand, the flank steak came in a small portion and didn't look all that incredible, and the sea bass special came in a rather oily sauce.

Overall though, tapas is incredibly fun for a night out with friends and Tapas Teatro is a great place for it.

Meeting an old friend you have not seen in 6 years can always be a little daunting. Will you still have anything in common? I mean come on, she is married with a kid and husband now. She is a physician, she's a homeowner, she's an adult. What part of the tequilla drinking rock star would be left?

Luckily, five minutes into your high pitched chirping recap of your life, you realize that friends never stop being friends. Now all you have to worry about is what and how much food to order.

The food at Tapas Teatro is not your typical Spanish food you would find in a tapas bar. The menu is full of small dishes of food with an American twist. More importantly, the menu is incredibly extensive with the addition of seasonal specials. Of special note, were the pea fritters. They are green pea croquettes with a gooey manchego center.

Try to strategically plan the number of people who go. 3 is the perfect number because the many of the items come in threes. Also, because there is a long wait sometimes and they do not take reservations, it is best to keep your party small.

Meat, poultry, seafood dishes, range about $9-$11per small plate. Vegetable dishes range from $6-$8. Assume you will need about 2 dishes per person. Keep a menu on the table so mid meal you can gauge if you will need to order more food.

My friends like to end with a sweet item, but I stick to a cocktail, a perfect martini made with Hendricks, as my treat. (On the bottom of the menu they state you can get your cocktail "to go" what a great idea for the movies)

By the end, you and your old friend will be new friends again as you loosen a few notches on your belts together to get a little breathing room.  And then you both go home to pass out from your food coma, because you realized neither of you are a rock star any more and 11pm is way past your bed time.

had a great time sampling about 10 different small plates. The highlight was the figs and green zebra tomatoes with sherry vinegar. Ended up having another one for dessert! But sad to say it was seasonal, so dont get your hopes up. Jamie was a wonderful waiter.

I really enjoyed Tapas Teatro.  The decor was cozy, the drink selection was decent and the food (especially the falafel salad) was good.  I also liked the open kitchen, though I didn't like sitting right next to it.

I visited Tapas Teatro during Artscape and it was a zoo.  Surprisingly though, the staff handled the chaos perfectly.  The manager was refilling our drinks and we had several waiters checking in with us.  I was impressed with both the food and the service and will certainly be back.

Great spot.  Nice atmosphere, really great wine list, good food, great service.  I will return!

    My only complaints were:

They need to serve more crostini with the goat's cheese salmon spread and they need to have the prep cooks clean the squid better for the grilled calamari dish.  I should not have to navigate around a spine and guts in my squid!

Hadn't been to this place in two years so went back last night after catching a movie at the Charles Theater.
Was happy to find that it still serves up great food in a nice ambience.  It is very small, so would probably avoid during peak hours when the wait can get very long.  But otherwise, I'd definitely recommend this place. It's great for coffee/desserts, snacks, first dates, or a group of friends. Probably wouldn't go here if  you're super hungry, just because the portions are small and pricey.

Roommates and I had a little early birthday celebration here last night.

    Things I liked:
    1. The bread is very tasty..and they're nice about bringing you multiple servings to mop up the oil they provide as well as all the other tasty sauces.
    2. We ordered 5 dishes + 3 desserts (one was free because of the birthday!) for 4 people and all left pretty full.
    3. The grilled calamari was spicy and the marinade was great.
    4. The med. veggie platter was also really good, with a really spicy but delicious sauce on top!

    Things I didn't like:
    1. They don't take reservations. Very annoying!
    2. We ordered a pitcher of sangria @ the bar while we were waiting and had to clear the bill before we got our table..which was a little irritating considering its the same restaurant and it was crazy crowded.
    3. The sangria is watered down (but still pretty tasty).
    4. Desserts were good..but not amazing. Key lime cheesecake was too mild tasting and the Royale had a weird crunchy layer underneath the mousse that made it hard to eat.
