Delivery or dining in, Tandoor-A-India remains head and shoulders above any other Indian food restaurant I can find.  Even when eating Indian in other cities, I continue to compare them to Tandoor-A-India, and they never stack up.

Tikka Masala is a must as well as the pea pilaf and garlic naan.  If you've never had Okra, this is the time and place to give it a go.  You will not be disappointed!

Why, hello there Mr. Pushy McPusherstein waiter, nice to meet ya.

Mr. Pushy McPusherstein: "You get naan with that, did you want garlic naan too?"

Me: "Ummm....well....plain sounds fine."

Mr. P: "No. You want garlic"

Me: "Uh. Ok."

Mr. P: "You want that with your meal, or now?"

Me: "Well, I'm kinda hungry, so now would be-"

Mr. P: "No. You want it with your meal."

It's like I was in the middle of a pop quiz I never even knew I was supposed to study for. And I was failing miserably. It went on and on with me making the wrong decisions (and having him correct me) about saffron rice and yogurt sauce.

I must say though, I'm sure it wasn't intended this way, but it was pretty damn entertaining. And the super humongoid portions and tasty, tasty grub more than made up for it.

I've gotta warn ya though, this place is teeny tiny. There are like eight tables in here or something. Maybe less. And you're sitting pretty close to your dining neighbors, so you'll either make some friends or some enemies as you forget to keep your curse-word-filled vocabulary in check.

Either way, I'd definitely head here again when I'm in the mood for Indian, or for a blow to the ol' ego every time I answer one of the waiter's questions incorrectly.

OMG, I swear I feel like my reviews are being deleted.
Must try their chicken tikka masala,  lamb karahi and eggplant curry.
SooOoo delicious!
So much flavor, the meats are always sooOo tender, and plenty of the good sauciness for dipping.

The location is inconvenient.
Not only is it far from where I live or work, but it's located on a slanted driveway.
Gotta watch out of the cars behind you when you enter the lot.
You come up this narrow driveway up to find a few spaces, sometimes none.
Then gotta bust a Austin Powers to get yourself outta there.

I never dined inside, b/c it's kinda scary.
I feel like this place won't carry my weight.
So I had take out all 4 or 5 times.
I go out of the way to make this place a stop-by. lol

ive always wondered about this place--not because i think it could actually be better than my favorite indian restaurant in the marina, but because of its architecture.  so i decided to give it a try this week.

first of all, the people who work there slightly scared me.  no one smiled, and the waiter seemed insulted that i didnt want a side with my shrimp tandoori.  i think he actually rolled his eyes at me.   he then said, "you know this is just BBQ, dont you?"  uh, yes...and i dont want a side!

the food arrived and it was so-so.  the shrimp still had the legs on it, which was a turn-off for me.  i really dont want to be reminded that my food once moved before i put it in my mouth.

side note: the young woman who worked there stared at me quite a bit with her big, haunting brown eyes which made me uncomfortable.  i know what matters is the food, but its hard to eat when someone is staring at you.

oh well...ill be sticking to my favorite indian in the marina, thank you!

Best Indian food I've ever had? Nope. Pretty damn good, though.
Big points for delivering it to our boat at the marina - but don't count on a quick delivery!
We got the assorted hor d'oeuvres... samosas very good, the lamb one was a bit dry. The pakora also a bit dry. But overall very tasty. The mint (I believe) chutney was surprisingly spicy... which is great.
Chicken Korma - delicious, buttery, light sauce. Some chicken dry, some perfectly cooked. Wants for some cashews. Tons of sauce for dipping naan.
Lamb Karahi - very earthy and satisfying. Lamb cooked very well. Sauce delicious.
Garlic naan - mmmm

Overall, more than 2 very hungry triathletes could eat, and we can pack it away...

I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but I will round up. The boyfriend says it was hella delicious. Enjoy!

We have ordered delivery from this place more times than I could count if I tried.  Love the food, everything we have ever ordered has been great.  Haven't ever eaten in the restaurant, but it looks nice enough.  Very friendly people, if you live in Playa, eat here!

I'm not sure what to write for Tandoor-A-India in Playa Del Rey, since I had a great meal and wonderful experience, but when I talked with a co-worker about it the next day, he told me that he got seriously ill after eating here a few weeks prior.

So now I'm a little skeptical, but kinda craving the wonderful food that I had there. The prices were also very reasonable and the service was superb...so should I let my co-workers experience taint my feelings toward Tandoor-A-India?

I guess I should give them one more try and feel more confident when I don't wind up worshiping the porcelain god after a second outing. To be continued...

Our first dinner in Playa del Rey and it was great. We arrived at about 6PM after a full day of moving from Orange County. We were famished. Nobody was in the restaurant but we just didn't care; we needed food.

For starters:
Mango Lassi - great taste, perfect texture, and cheap
Beers are also really cheap and great; and really from India - $3-4 for a 12 oz and $6 for a 22.
We had a garlic naan, which was out in seconds, and just emanating fresh garlic taste and aroma without being too covered in butter. Naan was also cheap, at $2-4.

For entrees, we had lamb and eggplant curries and a jasmine rice with peas and "stuff" I can't remember (maybe it was the Old Monk 10000 22...). Everything was great. The lamb was tender and in a curry that was tomatoey and not too thick, heavy, or fatty. The eggplant was killer. Thick, fresh, and well balanced. The rice was the perfect side for both with excellent texture and flavor. We took about a quarter of the lamb, half the eggplant, and half of the rice home. Entrees were $8 to $12 - very reasonable.

Service was really what made the experience great. We had two different servers checking in with us from time to time to see how we were doing, see if the spiciness was to our liking, filling our water. Very attentive, but not excessively so. We were even offered dessert on the house -- nice touch though we were full.

The most amazing Indian food I've ever had? No, but very good, bordering on really, really good. The most breathtaking atmosphere I've ever experienced? Nope, but natural and unpretentious. Really solid food and great service in a comfortable atmosphere.

Over the 75-or-so minutes were were dining, the place filled up completely. I don't think there was a single table open when we left at about 7:30.

Yes, we will absolutely be back. Loved it.

I parked on the street in front and as I was pulling out, somebody was already waiting behind me to snag my spot. Clearly the cat is out of the bag on this place!

Odd entering on the side of the building by the open kitchen, wasn't sure where to go after walking down from the parking lot. But once inside someone called over to us to point us in the right direction on the seating we were seated immediately.
We started with Samosa's since there were three of us the waiter told us to order two orders (since you only get two in each order...okay so we'll have four, someone can have the extra) so they bring us 5? Hmmmm? They were a bit dry but tasted good.
Then we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Prawn Vindaloo, Aloo Gobi, and Naan and rice. All looked really wonderful and smelled delicious upon arrival to our table (though they brought the Naan early and it sat waiting for our food). The service was good and the food was good. I'm still partial to my favorite place in Berkeley but hey, we all have our favs. All in all it was a delicious meal and if I visit the area again I'd most likely go back if I wanted Indian food.

WOWWWWWEEEEE!
Holy Shit. In one word....SCRUMPTULESCENT.
I will need to change my review on Indian Summer and give it 2 stars after eating here.
Came here with the boss as this was his favorite India Spot 10 years ago when he was a World Wide Account Manager. The food here was perfect. I cant say more as drool will flood out of my mouth and destoy my keyboard. But I can say that the food here makes Indian Summer takes like Play Doh (yes, I know what it tastes like).
And the decor...OH! the decor...so hole in the wall and I love it!!!!

Tandoor-A-India was always on my way when I took side streets to avoid traffic on the 405. Almost like an Indian siren, it called to me. But it's somewhat grungy look kept me away. Indian restaurants that aren't spic and span always inspire fear of what might be lurking in the kitchen? Rats? Roaches? Oh I cringe...

However, one fine afternoon I overcame my fear and finally decided to nosh at the place with some friends before hitting the beach. And was I surprised. The food was good. We got the butter chicken, lamb korma, aloo gobhi, saag paneer and navratan korma (had a lot of hippie vegetarians dining with us this time) and followed that up with their paratha, garlic naan and peas pilaf.  Try them, you wont go wrong.

The restaurant could do with better decor (-1 star) and the food is definitely delicious (3 stars.) TAI gets another star for friendly and prompt service, a rarity at many Indian restaurants I've checked out.

Went here on a Saturday night with girlfriends before we hit the club. It looked a little sketchy when we rolled up because there were no cars in the 4-car parking lot. Honestly if my girlfriend hadn't recommended it, its the type of place you drive-by but would never actually go in.

All in all, competent indian cuisine, the food came out literally 10 mins after we ordered it  which was great. The Garlic Naan was AMAZING, but that was the highlight of the meal for me. For $15 it was alright, but you could probably find just as good indian food somewhere else.

The best part of the meal was how fast we got our food. We were in and out in an hour.

One star - for being a hop skip away from my place!

One more star -- for being reasonably priced compared to some other places in this neighbordhood!

One star for having really yummy, well worth it and plentiful Punjabi Dinner Special. With the best lamb kurma...yummy -. - the kurma being so smooth, creamy, mild and comforting....mmmmm mmmm mm!

One star for being consistently delicious, every time we've had dinner here :)

PS: And whoever is the nutcase who keeps crank-calling this restaurant -- CUT IT OUT!! It's not funny watching the non-english speaking get confused by ur silly jokes!!

This is our go to place when no one can decide on lunch. They deliver (yay)... and they do have a lunch buffet--which I've tried once. I didn't really like the buffet all that much, and since then have ordered off the menu. I always get the saag paneer and I love it. The lamb is pretty good, as is the chicken, but I prefer the veggie dishes. They've got good naan--although it is a little greasy.

There isn't much parking, and the place is pretty tiny, but I've never seen it too busy during lunch. I recommend ordering any of the veggie dishes off the menu, and plenty of garlic and sesame naan.

One word: BLEND.

Second word: DRY.

I can't believe the number of folks who gave 4 stars to this place. Maybe because it's one of the few places that offer Indian Buffet within a good distance.

Every dish in the lunch buffet tasted blend, lacks seasoning, "watery" and just not at all tasted that much of a Indian flair here.

Moreover the papadam and samosa tasted like it's day-old food. The quality of the chicken meat in the chicken dishes (tandoori, masala) were tough and dry.

Finally, Kheer (rice pudding) wasn't thick enough. They had a mango lassi -like dessert. That's the only decent thing on the buffet table.

Not returning ever.

The lunch was torturous.

Husband and I ordered the Lamb Boti Kebab and the Shrimp Saag. I like both dishes. We also ordered a side of basmati rice and the garlic naan. Husband was not too impressed with the Shrimp saag. I thought it was pretty good. The service was excellent too. The waiter was polite and responsive.

A tiny little restaurant. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be during rush hour. Overall, I think it deserve a four stars. Would definitely come back again to try out their other stuff.

This place has a great lunch buffet!   There is a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the buffet so everyone will be happy. At some restaurants buffet food lacks quality, but everything on the buffet here was amazing.  They bring out fresh naan to your table which is fluffy and delicious.  It is really hard, but you must save room for dessert.  The buffet usually has three dessert choices.  I love the rice pudding, it is the perfect way to end the meal.  The only problem is that I always eat way too much here because everything is so good!

Tandoor-A-India, the master of inconsistency.  You never know what you're going to get.   When it's good, it's really really good.  When it's bad, it can be terrible.  I have dreams of their heavenly chicken tikka masala.  The tender perfectly cooked chicken, the creamy smooth scrumptuous sauce, like velvet in my mouth.  Yum, so rich and so not on my diet, I probably gain 5 pounds just thinking about it.  Oh, but it's so worth it, well, sometimes.

So today I decide to order, my mouth watering, tastebuds filled with anticipation.  The place is less than 5 minutes from my house, but I'm willing to wait the hour for delivery because I haven't ordered in ages, and I know that this time it's going to be great.

Unfortunately, today is one of those all-too-common days when it isn't great at all.  Maybe it's a different cook, maybe they just grab some guy off the street in Little India and have him/her cook it however he/she wishes, maybe they let their 8-year-old make it.   I don't know why it happens, but it happens A LOT.  About half the time.  I could have gone for Taco Bell and been happier.

It's just one of those times... the chicken is dried out, the sauce is bland and doesn't even taste like tikka masala sauce.  It's so bad that if this were the first time I had tried this restaurant or this dish, I would never pay money for either again, ever.

The pea pilaf or whatever it's called is tasteless and suffering.  It looks and tastes like they took some properly prepared pilaf and mixed it with plain rice, sacrificing the usual yummy dish.  It doesn't have the great flavor or yellow color throughout, has big chunks of white rice, and tastes more like plain white rice than it should for $6.95 or whatever.

My other dish, "chicken vindaloo" should be renamed,   "uninspired chicken with a little spice."  I had to pour the 2 sauces that come in the bag on top of it to make it worth eathing.  Chicken pieces too big, potatoes bland. Booorr-iinnnggg.

Other times, I've ordered saag paneer and samosas.  The samosas taste greasy and too doughy for my taste.  And I don't like their paneer, or maybe any paneer, it tastes like a mix of cheese and tofu.  Blechk!  I've tried saag with shrimp and they just put what tastes like boiled shrimp with no spices at all into the saag.  It's a waste.  If I order it, I now get plain saag.  Just the spinach, forget the rest.

On a positive note, when my younger brothers visit, they swear by the buffet.  They absolutely love it, and say it's perfect for battling a hangover.

For me, they've likely lost a customer today.  I've probably ordered from them 20 times or more over the last 7 years.  I'm so sick of their inconsistency that I can't stand it.  It had already been over a year since I'd ordered from them, and I doubt I'll go out on this limb again.  Several years ago, it was delicious and consistent.  Not anymore.  I'd say 2 out of the last 3 times I've ordered have been sub-par.  And today's was probably the worst I've had so far.

So good luck when ordering.  I hope you get the good cook/chef/oldest child cooking your meal, and that you don't end up with flavorless crap.

One positive - they usually use old boxes for delivery and those foil containers.  No plastic bags and no styrofoam.   I like that.

My wife and I go here at least once a month, and it is great! Never had the buffet and we always dine in so my review is on that.
Food is good, staff is helpful, and they have a good selection of Indian beer. Though there are only 5 tables in the place (very cozy) and parking is usually on the street it is definitely worth giving it a shot.
We eat quite a bit of Indian food and this is the best in the area we think.
anyway, that's my 2 cents.

I really really wanted this place to be good because it's walking distance from my house. I even tried to convince myself and all my friends the food was good! I took a few friends here and I was the only one that liked it. But no more lies.

I actually don't mind the dingy little rooms with the creaky floors and outdated carpet. What I do mind is the mediocre food. The chicken tikka masala was dry, the saag paneer was a bit oily, i couldn't even eat the fish in the fish vindaloo, and the curries were hit or miss. After many dinners and lunch buffets here, I'm not longer going to force my friends to come here and plead them to give it a second chance.

The lunch buffet on the weekends is $10 which isn't a terrible deal and you'll probably find something you like across the 5 dishes they have.

I probably won't be coming here unless we're really craving Indian food. Or maybe I would come here if they started giving out better coupons. Buy 1 entree and get the second 50% off is just not good enough to bring me back.

Went there for two times. Both were very good.

I like this little restaurant a lot. The decoration is nice. Because the place is really small, there is a really homey feeling.

I love their LAMB KORMA. It was really creamy, and the lamb was delicious! The GARLIC NAAN was very crispy and flavorful! The lamb kebab was good too.

If I want Indian food, I will always come back here. :)

Great to have around.

If you're nearby and want Indian food soon, by all means go and have a hearty meal. If you're a connoisseur who must have everything just so, this may not be the place for you. Akbar on Washington in Marina del Rey fits that bill better.

This is a family-run place fine to eat in (cozy, kind of cool in a bohemian way) or take out or have delivery from. Hearty curries and flavorful pilau rice, etc. Not the sharpest-edged spices in the world - but nothing bad to say about them. Hope their business thrives.

The best authentic indian food in LA.  Quiet, out of the way spot in Playa Del Rey.  Never crowded.  Service is attentive but not overbearing.  The best thing is you can eat and then go walk it off on the beach afterwards.  The Nan rocks, I always get some to take home.

Another whole in the wall with sometimes great food, sometimes ok food.  The staff told me that this used to be a trailer but they reinforced it and now it is a full time restaurant.  If you dine in, for dinner, the food is much better.  The delivery driver is a complete A-hole.  Took forever, half the food was freezing cold, the other half piping hot.  He went to the wrong door and then got so angry at me for taking to long to meet him.   I will drive next time as I don't want to put any money in his pocket.  I tried the takeout once but it was very mediocre.  When you dine in it is much better for some reason.

The food here is not spicy.  This is a problem with Indian restaurants in predominately white neighborhoods.  If you ask them to spice it up they will.  The lunch buffet is cheap but the food isn't that good.  Go here for dinner and try the Chicken Tiki Masala, the Naan Bread, and their somosas.  The staff aren't the friendliest.  One time the waiter was really rude to me and kept staring at my girlfriend but the food is good and if you're looking for something different than the typical tacos, burgers, or sandwiches then this is a good place.

More like 3.5 stars to me.

The main room with the buffet was pretty small, but they do have more seating at the back passed the kitchen.  I think for a $6.95 buffet the food was good and fresh.  They had two types of appetizers, Naan, Chicken Curry, Alu vindaloo (potatoes in gravy), Saag paneer (homemade spinach), Chicken tandoor (bbq chicken), Rice, Kheer (rice pudding), and salad.

Given that the place is pretty small, the staff was attentive and filled our glasses of water and cleared our dirty plates promptly. Parking is very limited and narrow,  I would recommend parking on the street.

This place is nuts!  The building is like the Indian restaurant version of the Winchester Mystery House.  I'm sure it doesn't meet a single building code requirement.  The inside is very cramped and when you walk in, you can go either right do a dining area, or to your left is this area that looks into the kitchen and then through there is another tiny dining area and the buffet stand. There's no clear indication when you walk in which way you're supposed to go.

I opted for the lunch buffet, and the tandoori chicken was super good, as was a dal w/ chickpeas.  There was another chicken dish that I didn't think was as good - the chicken was a bit overcooked.  The naan was hot and delicious.

Service was great - my waiter was on point with the water, bringing out the check, and processing the bill quickly.

It's hard to find really good Indian food in LA, but this place is the best Indian I've tried so far in this city.

This shack of a place was really surprising...

My bff & I went here after we decided we were too full to have dinner (is there really such a thing?). The asianness led us here. There was a coupon & it was close.

We got palak paneer & chicken tikka masala (we love comparing) & rice & naan. (See pics.) Everything reminded me of Indian food in Berkeley, which is a good thing. The chicken tikka masala was creamy & flavorful. The naan was very fresh & slathered in ghee. Perfection. If I recall, the mango lassi was right on as well.

Sadly, the prices were not Berkeley (good thing I had that coupon) & you need to watch your step in the tiny space (I swear the ground was creaking with each of my steps & no I didn't drink).

I'd be curious to try the lunch buffet. It would probably result in a bulging belly.

I will leave my asianness behind & would go there w/ or w/o a coupon.

Now I just started to get acquainted with Indian food for the first time in my life and I have to say that I'm a fan. My first experience was at Dhaba (blah) on Main St. in Ocean Park and the only thing I liked there was the Mango Lassi. This place was so good! I wish I could tell you all of the dishes I liked but you know your an amateur when all you can say is, "mmm the yellow, orange, and green are delicious!"

The Nann bread was fresh, crispy, and incredibly garlicky (just how I like anything with garlic...wait that's just what I like :)), and the special yellow rice with cashews made everything taste better. I'm going to try take out next time because it's so close and affordable.

Also, all 6 of us ordered the Taj beer expecting your average sized bottle. They started to bring out these large bottles, one by one....to EVERYONE. Our eyes expanded in delight as we realized we were ALL getting a big bottle of beer for the price of a small bottle AND the beer was pretty damn good too if you like blonde ales.

The only thing I didn't care for were the fried appetizers someone ordered. Meh. They seemed pre-made and frozen.

Parking = biyotch. They have a TINY parking lot above the restaurant where you feel like you'll either scrape the bottom of your car on the way down or fall off the side because the driveway is so narrow. Do it with that in mind, if you have a small car, and/or if it's not crowded but I'd try to find another means.

The palak paneer was good.  Everything else was average or worse.  Really, it's a 2.6 stars, but I'll round up.

We finally convinced our bland ass friend to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We started off our meal by selecting the assorted appetizer, which had a little bit of everything. We ordered chicken korma, shrimp vindaloo and lamb (khali?) with a side of basmati rice and peas plus 3 orders of garlic nann. GOD BLESS THE NANN! All of the dishes were delicious and easy to share.
As others stated before, the driveway was a bitch, so we parked @ the 24 hr. laundry mat next door. The facility is small with little seating but it has good atmosphere and we got in right away. Prices were within reason for a meal of this type. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Indian food!

Just squirt a fresh lemon in your eye or maybe take a long deep sniff of extra spicy cayenne pepper...Because THAT would be a much better experience than actually dining at this restaurant.

Food - Mediocre
Decor - Indiancentric
Ambiance - Cultured
Service - Acceptable

I was always told...If you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all.

So here is where I shut up!

Tandoor-A-India is in this really strangely-shaped building on the side of a hill.  From the outside, the building's somewhat unassuming - almost unappealing.

My friend and I went here while on the quest for Indian food, specifically.  It was late, and I didn't hold out much hope for this place, as it seemed like one of those places I'd go to at 2AM after studying for way too long during school.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised!  Their menu was quite varied and the food was quite tasty.  I had some vindaloo and my partner had some biryani and we both enjoyed some Naan.  Although I was disappointed in the fact that they had no onion chutney on offer (apparently, no Indian restaurants in California do Onion chutney - it must be an east-coast thing!), their food was otherwise quite tasty, my expectations notwithstanding.

They also do a lunch buffet, which I'll be back to try when time permits.

My Ratings:
Food - Yay!  I liked what I ordered, and I'll get more.  Good naan, biryani, vindaloo.  What more can you ask for?
Service - I had take-out, late at night, so I can't comment too much on this.  What I saw was good though.
Value - Reasonable value.  Prices were right in line with what I'd expect for ethnic food.
Ambiance - Don't let the unassuming exterior or somewhat cramped interior fool you - the food's quite good.  Get take-out if the environment doesn't suit. =)

Parking's behind the building, after driving up a steeeep hill!

Bottom line:
Good, reasonably-priced Indian food.  I'd definitely try them again!

Had the buffet lunch on a Monday for $7.95.  It was okay, but definitely not what I expected after seeing everyone's reviews.  Chicken was overcooked, and that's usually my highlight.  Third star is for the very nice waiter, good price, and crazy layout.

Look at it this way: I'm a serious carnivore.  My favorite dishes were the vegetarian ones, the rice, and the sweet breadball dessert thingy.

Btw, that back parking lot can fit four, maybe five cars.  If you're the sixth one, I have no idea what you'll do after driving up that driveway/hill since there'd be no room to turn around.  Reverse down the driveway?

So good!!

The inside of the building reminded of something of the victorian style with it's high windows & ceilings. The dining area was small but still comfortable. The service was a little slow at first but that  all changed after the menus were presented to us. I thought the food was tasteful in every which way. Best Naan I've ever had. Hands down.

Went here for lunch with B based on yelp reviews. I've been eating a lot of veggie Indian food lately, but had the craving for some meat. I'm glad we went here.

The place is pretty funky looking from the outside, but in a good way. Lots of colors, a really quaint look about it, and I don't use the word "quaint" lightly... in fact, I don't think I've used it since high school... anyway, it describes this place to a tee. There is parking in the back, but it's not the most spacious lot in the world. I think you can fit 3 cars there, 4 tops. I had to give my friend a few light suggestions on parking... it was a bit like playing Tetris on wheels. That said, the interior of the place is also small, so I guess it all works out in the end.

We went with the lunch buffet, which for a measly $8, you can't beat. I pretty much had everything: chicken tandoori, saag, basmati rice, bread, and a bunch of other stuff I don't recall offhand. Everything was really good. We both had a single plate of food and some naan. There was really not much room for anything else, including dessert.

We sat at the front of the place, which was really nice. The wait staff was kind, courteous, and doted on us every few minutes or so. It was better than expected service for a buffet. We were also offered drink refills, but we were pretty much full, so we nixed that idea. The funny part was at the end of the meal, when the waiter tried to whisper the bill amount to me so my friend could not hear. I guess paying is a man's job and a woman is best to just sit there, look pretty and enjoy her free meal, haha.

Bring on the combo dinners!!!  This place is definitely worth trying out.  This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I've been to and thank you 8-pound baby Jesus for having it right down the street from me!

The food is always SO good and you definitely get a lot for the price.  I usually order the Veggie Combo and it can feed 3 people!!  They also have a great lunch buffet for a ridiculous price.  I think they charge about $7.  Crazy!

This place delivers for free (yes I am a lazy bastard who lives walking distance away and still orders for delivery).  Give it about a 45 min wait for your food to get to your place.  Trust me, it's worth it.

This place is awesome.

This week, my co-workers wanted Indian for lunch and found this place on Yelp. hahahahahah

So we tried it, all 10 of us. lol.

Once i heard Indian food, i was interested, but once i heard Buffet I WAS SOLD...!!!! hahahaha

It might be a bit snug, the buffet room was tiny, and the hidden dining room was pretty small as well. But the food was lovely. Everything tasted fresh.
i dont know the names or ingredients of the food but im going to try my hardest to describe it.
The large flat bread baked-lays lookalike stuff was awesome with the green sauce.
The red chicken was sooo yummy with the multi-colored rice and yogurt.
I really enjoyed the red sauce stuff with the peas in it.
The warm pita looking bread at the table was awesome as well, it really toned down the red chicken taste.
The mango flavored dessert with the sweet brown ball was pretty epic as well.
all of this, and as much as you can eat, for under $10. expect to see me here again....... ALOT....!!!!!!

Holla at yo boy wit some curry, naw mean?? Tandoor-A-India knows how to keep it gangsta with that samosa and naan action.

Ok, really, Tandoor-A-India has some of the best Indian food that I've ever had. The service is great, location makes you feel like a local that you know where it is (little tough to find), and the food is delish! Lots of vegetarian options, which is a big plus for me, but everything is bursting with flavor like a little girl bursts with excitement upon seeing an ad for the Jonas Brothers movie.

We went with some friends that are regulars to Tandoor-A, so we got treated really, really well (they served us and we got free ice cream and stuff), so I'm sure service isn't ALWAYS that good. We were well-attended to all night and I enjoyed everything that I had. The ambiance is a little weird initially, but once you're ok with all the mirrors and whatnot, you'll be so focused on the wonderful Indian eats that you won't even notice.

Lots of flavor, great service, nice people inside, and a bomb ass restaurant = 5 stars and a holla at yo boy from me, a suburban Asian who really needs to get his Sunday morning going.
