Are you one of those people that would give your left arm for some good Indian food?  I am.  Are you one of those people that needs more friends that actually like Indian food?  I am.

This is a place where you can take the "I hate curry, even though I've never had it" type people.  All you Indian Foodies know what I'm talking about.

The restaurant is upscale with a great wine list and a wonderful ambiance.  It's not really a place to mingle but better for corporate or private dinners.

The staff is always friendly... from the hostess right down to the busboys.  The serving staff is very attentive and always make sure everything is topped off and enjoyable.

My usual Tamarind dinner includes:

Dum Aloo Ghobi
Lobster Masala
Tamarind Basmati
Oodles of Naan

...and a gurney to wheel my fatass out of there.

If you live in the area - maybe, otherwise, stick to your local Indian joints: Tamarind's ambiance, service and food quality is not good enough to justify its high prices plus cab fare

There are places in every Manhattan neighborhood with a similar food quality, presentation, and service levels but at 20-30% less. Tamarind design is overtly non-ethnic, but I actually prefer a more immersible experience

I've been to Tamarind on several occasions - friend's birthday, my college graduation, etc. I absolutely love this place. The restaurant is located in a relatively quiet area, and the decor is very classy. Make sure you save a visit here for a special occasion since it is quite pricey (but rightfully so).

The atmosphere is very enjoyable, and the tables are large enough and far apart enough to enjoy your own meal without forcibly overhearing other conversations. The food is amazing, and I say this having been to plenty of Indian restaurants (not just in the US, but in India as well.) I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect combination of great tasting food and a classy ambiance.

I am lived in NYC for a decade. Now that I am moving to the West Coast, I know that I will be missing this place mostly, among others. No one does Indian Food better than Tamarind. Their food has been
consistently good and the atmosphere and service just excellent. I wish Mr. Walia and his nephew Gary  the very best with their new Tamarind II coming up this winter. I know they have a winner up their sleeves. I shall make it a point to drop in the next time I am in town.

I am not a huge fan of Indian food but I was taken here once by a client and I have to say, the food is spectacular.  It didn't  remind me of every other Indian restaurant I have been to and I think if you're looking to slowly get introduced to Indian food - this is the place to go.  A lot of the dishes I tasted were mild, the flavors were mellow and didn't scream curry.  Make sure you share dishes, because its too delicious to only have one.

Went here for a belated birthday dinner while visiting NYC.

Very impressive. Loved all the dishes we had. Great ambiance and service. A bit expensive for Indian, but you pay for the setting and service. Enjoyed my tamarind cosmo...great twist on the drink...less sweet so even better than the original.

Tables in the lounge are a bit close together (we didn't have a reservation), so we got to sit next to a guy with very amusing observations about life. Had a hard time keeping a straight face, but actually added to the experience so we really enjoyed ourselves and had something to talk about after they left.

Didn't have dessert, went to Veniero's for that and hardly had room after the great meal from Tamarind.

My verdict:

North Indians- love this place
Americans - love this place
South Indians - A-OK

Indian fusion. Casual, yet intimate atmosphere. Exotic cocktails. Unique appetizers- even the simple samosa dish had a delicious spin on it. I love the complimentary bread appetizer- a cheesy, pizza pastry with a side of some kind of garlic sauce.

Portions are a good size- especially the appetizers, which can definitely be shared by two.

This place is pricey for Indian food. But I guess it's also not authentic Indian, but fusion in an upscale environment. Worth trying though, just for the experience since I haven't come across many Indian-fusion restaurants in the city.

Yummy! My hubby will tell you I am super picky about my Indian food, the taste, flavor, texture, variety, and of course authenticity are all very important to me.

This place was excellent, they have a bit of fusion items on their menu but also had some North Indian classics.  I typically despise fusion Indian but they did it right. All were really good. Cocktails are yum and unique.

The crowd was a mix of people who appreciate Indian food, were there celebrating, and socialite types.  Ignore the crowd and go for the food, tables can be tight if you are seated in the front.

Here's what I got:
Chicken Tikka Masala
Mahi Mahi (it was on special with a fresh mango salsa)
DAHI ALOO POORI
Salty Lassi
Kheera Raita
Cumin Rice
Garlic Naan
Ras Malai

All this talk I might have to head back tonight!

This is an expensive restaurant for Indian food, you are paying for the exotic foods, variety, quality, and upscale feel.

Scale 1 = poor, 5 = outstanding

CUSTOMER SERVICE:  4.  The wait staff looked very attentive.  I ate at the bar and the bartender was slammed with orders but was still attentive and quick.

FOOD:  4.  Really tasty Indian food.  I got the Bhel Poori app and the Seekh Kabab -- both were outstanding . And good wines too.

AMBIANCE: 4.  This is fine dining Indian.  I actually like that the location is outside the fray of most tourist traffic (east 22nd at Park Ave, sort of near the Flatiron building -- incidentally right next door is Beppe which is good italian).

VALUE: 4.  Fine dining prices but totally worth it.

This is by leaps and bounds the best Indian food that I've had in the city. Authentic layering of spices. Decent portions. Went with a party of five for my birthday and we did family style.

Had the aloo tikkiyas (sp?) and the crab cakes. Both were good but the crab cakes were just slightly more special. For entres we got the kolpuri chicken which was close to a peppercorn Chettinadu korhi from south India. The meat was sightly overdone but the sauce made up for it. The standout was the lamb in a traditional curry. I want to go back and try the lamb shank they have now because they rocked it on a basic dish. Throw in some naan and bindi and I was a happy lady.

The prices are the only thing that makes this not a five star-er. Just slightly more than Indian should cost in my opinion but damned good.

Impeccable Service.
Fantastic Food.
Awesome date place.
Feel Good Atmosphere.
Expensive. Fair enough to pay the price for the above.

There are several other Indian restaurants in town that are more value for money, but this one is when you want to enjoy the ambiance and service along with the food. I have been here only once and the memory is still fresh in my mind.

Warning: I am a vegetarian.

Food

I always go for the THALI, because it gives me most for my dollar. =) But, its just THAT good. For appetizers, I always get the Resli (sp?) Gobi. It's not listed on the menu, and if the waiter doesn't mention it, just ask for it. They always have it. It's cauliflower with tamarind sauce. Pretty much everything on their menu that is vegetarian is good. For dessert, I usually go for the Ras Malai. It's tasty!

Service

The service is impeccable. It enhances the atmosphere and adds a perfect touch to a perfect meal!

Overall -- I love this place. It is on my go-to list when I cannot think of a restaurant. Once, I walked out of VATAN because I waited 30 minutes for someone to bring me water. Where did I go? TAMARIND of course!

I would suggest the cauliflower dish that is the current special.

The staff were friendly, food was great.  A little pricey compared to comparable indian restaurants otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Simple and elegant setting.  Worth a visit.

My husband and I love Indian food so we had high expectations for Tamarind.

First, we started off with a couple of cocktails.  My husband had the Raj Royal - a fancy whiskey sour.  I got the Monsoon - a yummy drink with tropical juices and some coconut cream.

As an amuse bouche, the server bought out a puff pastry with spinach and tangy yogurt sauce.  It was a tasty nibble of food.

I ordered the scallop appetizer - two large scallops, seared well, in a rich creamy curry coconut sauce with some mint.  My husband got the shrimp - there were 5 shrimp served in a spicy tomato sauce.

For my main entree, I got the chicken special.  It consisted of cubes of white meat chicken marinated with ginger, garlic and yogurt cooked in the tandoori oven and served with tomato sauce.  Chicken was very tender and the sauce was spicy, like refined version of tikka masala.

My husband ordered the halibut, which according to the menu had won some award.  It had a smoky flavor, white garlic coconut sauce and was cooked well and garnished with 3 rings of different color bell peppers.

For an upscale restaurant, the portions are large and we were so stuffed from dinner that we didn't order dessert.  The good food combined with the elegant decor are the reasons why Tamarind is so popular.

This place is FANTASTIC!  I've been eating there regularly for several years (they also deliver).  The food is consistently perfect.  The service is great too.  However, there's a predominantly male staff that has a tendency to be deferential to the males at the table and will barely look a female in the eye.  I suppose one could argue it's a cultural thing or that it's considered polite, I find it a little odd.  Regardless, a meal here will never disappoint.  I highly recommend the Lobster Masala, the cauliflower special, and the Tandoori Mixed Grill.

I've been to a different Tamarind in midtown and had a faint positive memory of this place. So when the W concierge recommended this place to us in Union Square, we were happy to revisit.

We had the dahi puri and samosa for appetizers and liked both. And oh, we're vegetarian. We then ordered paratha, tamarind rice and dal makhni for entrees. Everything besides the tamarind rice was made well.

Really enjoyed the ambiance of this place as well and the staff sometimes got clicky and unattentive, but was friendly when around.

I really appreciated how they packed plates and cutlery with our to-go food, which made it very easy for us to re-enjoy the food on the plane!

Expensive AND snooty.  But not in the way you might think.

There was nothing wrong with the waitstaff; there was definitely something wrong with the couple sitting next to us though.  Everyone is really dressed up in here, and of course I happened to be in jeans that night.  Such is my luck to encounter awful, judgmental people.

The tables on the left of the restaurant are really tightly packed.  I hate when I'm being forced to sit absurdly close to strangers.  I'm having a good time laughing up a storm with my friend when I start to feel a bit paranoid.  And to my sheer displeasure, I notice the people at the next table quietly glaring at us.  They don't partake in conversation themselves- in fact, they seem perfectly content on listening in to our discussions and looking at us like we crawled out of a sewer hole.

Imagine being stared at for a good 2 hrs.

And for chicken that was way too dry for my taste, it was totally not worth being gawked at.  I should have been paid for the CANDY I was providing these people.

Maybe there is nothing wrong with the restaurant itself, but the decor, the prices, and the vibe it gives off definitely attracts people I would want to deck on a regular day.  Utterly pretentious!

I made reservations via opentable for two and we both arrived to a smiling hostess and taken to our table right away.  We were seated but we did not get menus, in fact, it took a good 10 minutes before we were given menus.  We were hungry and looking for our waiter which was a phantom! hahaha He magically appeared with only wine/cocktail menus.  No, my brotha we are HUNGRY!  Bring me a food menu, stat!  Okay, once this was done, I was aight.

Food was excellent.  I ordered the Shrimp Caldin which were prawns in a coconut sauce with mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves and coriander.  Oh heavenly!  We also got a side of saag paneer.  Also quite flavorful, not too salty, but just right.  Waitstaff was attentive and service was on point.  I didn't feel rushed and this place was jumpin'.  Very busy, and for good reason!  I'd definitely recommend it for a nice date spot or just a good dinner with friends. Top notch Indian food!  Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the long wait to get a food menu.

Oh wow, I haven't been here in years and it looks like they've spruced up their dining area but I do remember them having the best Naan bread ever!  So doughy but so light and fluffy. They've set the bar high and nothing in SF compares.

This is by far the best Indian food I've ever had.  What makes it so great is that the food is very distinct and unique.  It's great, authentic, fine Indian food, but what's more is that they've put their own delicate twist on common dishes.  I ordered a vegetarian dish and the vegetables were extremely fresh, perfectly cooked and flavored.  The nan is classic, but perfectly done.  The flaky, pastry-type starter (served complimentary) is intriguing and delicious.

The service is WONDERFUL.  Some of the best service I've had in New York in six months.

We ordered a reasonable $30 bottle of white wine and it was rich with flavor.

The decor of the restaurant is warm, luxurious, but not over the top, classic, sleek, appetizing and inviting.

The price point is a little high, but definitely not over-priced for what you get.  It's a great place to frequent if you can afford it, but even better if you keep it as a splurge every now and again.

I hope to go back soon.

One of my all time favorites. Tamarind possesses the essential complimentary elements-spacious yet intimate; attentive service without being bothersome; food that is unceasingly fresh, prepared with both subtle and bold flavors.

I have been many times for casual lunches; early celebratory dinners;  salacious late night suppers with inestimable Bombay Sapphire gin martinis. Tamarind attracts a diverse-Indian and non-Indian- seemingly tourist-free crowd: local bankers and dressed down ad agency types; Gramercy preggers and their wandering eyed husbands; mature, debonair benefactors and their hipster boy toys; Chelsea Clinton and her entourage.  I don't know if she has cankles-she was wearing a pantsuit.

Never a dull meal or moment!

The best haute Indian in town.  Compared with Tabla, the food is better, the prices lower and the ambience nicer.  The restaurant is beautifully soothing:  wonderful as a date spot but also appropriate for a business dinner.

For appetizers, try the the shrimp balchau and fried gobi (incredible)!; for entrees, their bhindi and saag are particularly delicious as is the raji's venison (spicy venison chops with cranberry sauce).

Though desserts can be skipped (I wish nice Indian restaurants would serve Indian sweets rather than try continental desserts).

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in the city. I've been here many times, but most recently went for dinner on Saturday night. Service was great, food was spectacular, ambiance is very pretty. Slightly expensive in my book, but well worth it.

We ordered the cauliflower appetizer (which as many others have pointed out, is very good if you don't mind your vegetables fried), chicken vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. We also ordered a vegetable side that included spinach and potatoes that was not on the menu.

The food was absolutely amazing. The dishes were incredibly detailed and delicate, and had us trying to pick out which particular spice or combination we loved most. That said, it is not one of those places where the portions are minuscule. We were definitely full when we left and even brought some left overs with us. It would be a shame not to.

I would eat here every night of my life if my boyfriend would let me (while he loves it too, the vindaloo tends to burn a hole in his stomach). I'd say the number one reason I can never leave NYC is Tamarind.

Well.  Love the atmosphere and that, actually is about it.  The food is okay but nothing different than most restaurants in curry hill which charge less than half the price (of course, you don't get the very nice enviornment).  The service is just okay.  I can't say anything exceptional about the service here.  For someone, who is East Indian, who goes to India several times a year; am also a new yorker as i've lived here for over 20 years, i have to say that if you're interested in great east indian food you'll be fine at curry in a hurry or any south indian restaurant in curry hill.  best is Queens, of course.  If you're not too interested in the food, and care more about a really nice decor, than this is the place to go.  Location is really nice.

During my last visit to NYC we decided to eat Indian one of the nights, and because of Yelp we ended up deciding on Tamarind. We were very satisfied with the whole experience. The atmosphere is calm and modern. Their wait staff was very friendly and punctual. The food was the highlight. We must have ordered half the menu and we ate all of it, even ordering seconds of the naan half way tru. The curries were spicy and all the sides were bursting with flavor. The only thing we wouldn't order again was the Tandoori Lamb, which was simply too much work, and very messy.

They do require reservations, although they may have seating next door. They are only a short walk from a metro station and we actually were able to go right from SoHo to Tamarind in only about 5 minutes.

Love love love this place!

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC...I eat here all the time.

The food is excellent...my favorites being a spicy shrimp appetizer, forget what it's called but the shrimp is always cooked perfectly...and the stewed goat....awesome!  Their naan is great but the poori bread is my choice with a side of mango chutney.  I've had other dishes over the course of my visits too and they have all been tasty.  If you like spicy food...check out this place for sure!

Aside from the food, service is always excellent and the decor is smart & clean.

After a long afternoon comprised of a show and then rooftop cocktails, take out was called for. We decided we wanted some Indian, but not any of the curry row places we'd tried already.

Now, we're no experts on the cuisine or what is authentic - we might not even like authentic - but, we recognize food that tastes good. We yelped, hopped in a cab and went to pick up our order at Tamarind.

Classy establishment. We sat down to two cocktails as we waited. The mango caipirinha was nothing to write home about, but the ginger gimlet hit the spot.

At home we served our 3 dishes: Japanese eggplant with coconut, a fish curry and chicken tikka masala. The eggplant did not win is over. It was quite spicy, for those that like it hot. The tikka masala was very good. The sauce balanced creaminess and spice well. If the chicken were a little more moist, it would have been great. The favorite, however, was the fish curry. Rich in flavor, spicy, delectable. We'll go back just for that dish alone.

While there's no way to vouch for table service, but the bartenders and hosts were polite and accommodating. We certainly have no reservations about dining in, in the future.

Very trendy and great decor.  But is that worth a $236 dollar tab for 7 people who barely ate entrees and had some lassis but no dessert or appetizers?  I am really upset that I paid so much to take my mom and my boyfriend's mom out for dinner here, but whatever.... the food is okay, nothing ravishing, but the decor and service deserves it a three.

BTW - they have an executive lunch menu, looks decent, nothing special.

Let me just put it out there... though I know I'll get some shit for it... I am not a big fan of Indian food.  Given the flavor, spices, and such, I would have assumed I'd be a big fan, but for a variety of reasons, I can't say I enjoy it all that much and thus rarely go out to Indian restaurants.  Well, Tamarind may just be the trick to turn all that around and make me a fan.  I realize that some of their dishes may be more modernized and thus, not all that authentic, but whatever the case may be, everything I had was quite good.  Combine the good food with polished service in a nice upscale environment... well, I may just have been converted.

As soon as B and I were seated, we were given a fairly extensive wine menu and a lovely amuse bouche to start.  B selected a good French medium-bodied red that was excellent... wish I remembered the name  (hopefully he does).  We perused the menu and decided to be safe and go with some of the recommendations from B's Indian friend.  We had:

- Raji's Scallops: grilled scallops with a coconut mint sauce -- delicious... scallops were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce (meaning, it wasn't drowning in the sauce)
- Tulsi Malai Kabab: boneless spiced chicken flavored with basil... a tad bit on the dry side but really good spices
- Lamb Vindaloo: lamb in a fiery tangy sauce... yep, it sure was fiery and tangy... and delicious
- Garlic Nan: yum, as usual
- Plain rice and yogurt -- all just to relieve my tongue that was on fire after a few bites of the lamb dish... note that we did request everything be spicy.  It's that spicy that gets hotter and hotter over time so beware.  Oh, a tad bit embarrassing that a white guy (B) could take spice much better than I could.  My mom would not be proud....

If you're looking to discover your love for Indian food in a nice, civilized dining atmosphere, look no further... Tamarind is definitely the place to go.  I'd say skip Devi (wasn't that impressed) and maybe consider Tabla as a backup.

Went here with family for my mom's birthday. Elegant ambiance & decor. Ideal for a date or special occasion. Waiters are very attentive & friendly. A little pricey - about $50-60 per person without drinks.

As for the food... While all the dishes were very fresh and succulent, they are thick and loaded with heavy cream. While this is now the standard with North Indian restaurant cuisine, I prefer the gravy accompanying my meat and not drowning it out. Here, however, I was impartial to the fact that most of the dishes came floating in curry: My fish was swimming but still damn good.

We ordered the chicken special of the day - soft & tender tandoor-grilled kebabs served over a fragrant tomato cream sauce. Rounds of the murgh kolhapuri, rogan josh, and nargisi kofta (yum!) were all rich and delicious, but definitely get some naan or kulcha (the minced onion-filled variety of naan) to sop up the thick pools of gravy on your plates.

Dessert is worth passing on. Mango cheesecake came right out of a fridge, tasted ehh, and the ras malai is nothing special.

I was lured here by the statement-slash-promise that it was the "best Indian food in New York". That's heavy competition.
Assessment? Cool room. Hip bar scene up front- nice to have an Indian restaurant with a scene and cool atmosphere.

I'm not a fan of restaurants where there's not a lot of intimate seating for two: booths , banquettes, something cozy. Tamarind is mainly tables out on the floor. You'll easily find yourself right next to another couple. It may be the Mafia princess in me, but I like a comfortable table, a tiny bit of personal space, and I like to have my back to the wall.

The food, however, is delicious. The lobster masala is one of those dishes I will think about over and over, especially when trapped in LA where great masala anything is scarce. We didn't order anything we didn't love.
I'll come back but it will be with a group so we can have a better table and feel a bit more festive.

New York city runs the gamut on Indian restaurants- from cheap holes in the wall, to average "just like every Indian place you've ever been to" places to upscale, new Indian.  Tamarind clearly falls in the third category.  Eschewing Bollywood posters, or old school religious paintings, it goes for sleek, modern decor.  The walls are mostly white and brown with square shaped lighting and dim lighting near the bar- it gives off more of a "New American" vibe than your average Indian restaraunt.

The menu also moves more towards upscale- pricing in the $15-$20 for vegetarian, and the $20-$26 range for most non-veg entrees reflects that.  And its also one of those Indian restaraunts where you have pay for plain rice.  Rice is a basic accompaniment to any Indian dish, does not require intense preperation and should be included with the cost of an entree- not $6.   Its a  major pet peeve of mine that requires great food to overcome.  Luckily this place has great food.

The appetizers and entrees are filled with creative takes on traditional Indian food.  On this evening we had Lucknow Bhajia- which is similar to any bhajia or pakora appetizer you've ever had- but the twist is they threw in bananas, paneer and spinach rather than traditional cauliflower, eggplant and potato.  Now I question the utility of deep frying a spinach leaf in a batter of chickpea flower, but the chutneys were excellent- a spicer than usual coriander chutney, a nice ginger chutney.

The more interesting of the two apps we got was Raj-Kachori.  A huge, crispy poori (a thin deep fried bread- almost like a tortilla shell or bread bowl), filled with chaat of chickpeas, tamarind chutney and yogurt.  Very cool presentation and very tasty.

For dinner I had Raji's lamb shank.  Its braised lamb, cooked with red wine, and rich sauce with spinach.  Excellently cooked- very, very tender and didn't have any of that game-y texture or aftertaste that lamb sometimes tends to have.  Not as good as Devi's lamb chops, but a superb dish.

The service is extremely attentive and very helpful about answering questions regarding the dishes.  The drinks are bit expensive ($11 for a Chimay), though the cocktails have some very interesting selections featuring mangos and tamarind- as one would hope from place's name.

Overall its really nice place to eat for any occasion...not truly great, but everything they do is really well executed.  The $24 lunch pre fixe sounds like an outstanding deal, and I will definitely be back.

$25 prix fixe lunch--delicious starters of tender prawns and spinach/lamb, followed by fish and fried eggplant--former delicious, latter somewhat bland--coating was drab, but the sauce was good.  Nan and rice.  Coconut sorbet and panna cotta desserts.  Some great flavors, and a good deal for the money.  Attentive service--perhaps a little slow to get underway at lunchtime.  Lovely room with skylights makes for a pleasant meal.

This is, hands down, the fanciest Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of dining in, world-wide.

Last year, I ate at a small restaurant in Dublin, Ireland, and a new standard for Indian food was created.  Everything I had tried before that date simply paled in comparison to that meal - and I have yet to find anything that can match that small, no-name place in Dublin.

Indian Aroma ( http://www.yelp.com/us... ), in San Francisco, albeit shabby, came quite close to that meal.
Tamarind in NYC, hovered somewhere slightly below Indian Aroma.

But in ambience alone, this place cannot be beat.  I should add, too, that the food was very good - - just nowhere near excellent.

We ordered a Shiraz, based on a friend's opinion, and it was extremely rich, flavorful, and you could distinctly make out the taste of oak in this wine.  While I didn't like it at first, I learned to appreciate it through the meal, and particularly more so when combined with the food.  His suggestion that we needed a wine that would not be overpowered by the Indian spices was right on the mark.

We ordered all the basics, including dahl, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, lemon rice, naan, and a soup.  The vindaloo was noticeably spicier than most Indian places, which was great... but it still didn't measure up to how spicy Indian Aroma's vindaloo was.  The soup stole the show in that it was excellent, so full of flavors and rich spices creating a masterpiece combined - - but all the other dishes carried their own also.  Perhaps the least impressive was the Masala in that it tasted like it was based in ketchup... which is perhaps my LEAST favorite sauce in the world.  It was interesting to see how the servers would bring out the dishes, and scoop out your portion and serve it to you on the plate.  I thought that was nice personal touch they added to their service, and while I had never seen this done at another Indian restaurant, Tamarind knew how to work it.

When reviewing Tamarind, though, it must be noted that this is perhaps the MOST expensive Indian restaurant in existence.  They give you high-classed service for this price, along with good food and a swanky wine list - and obviously, the residents of New York City didn't flinch as it was a full house on a Friday night.  Still, part of the appeal of Indian food, to me, is how economical it usually is, and in that aspect, Tamarind was entirely overpriced at some $18-$30 per dish.  Their wine list, in comparison to the food, was really fair in price.

All in all - - Tamarind is a good place to visit when you're having a client dinner (read: expense account), craving Indian food but needing a 5-star type of atmosphere for clients.  It's also a nice place for a date, in my opinion, as it is nicely-lit, has a very hip and modern decor, and the service is excellent and is quite intimate, though not private.  For our group of four friends wanting good Indian food, and not wanting to spend an exorbitant amount of money, Tamarind is a bit pricey, but all in all, we found it to be worthwhile.

One of us had been talking about this place forever, and as is usually the case, I found his food recommendations to be right on the mark at Tamarind.

Have been eating here for many years. Excellent lamb chops. The chicken dishes were very good. Avoid the desserts.
