New ownership, WTF, man?
How do you compromise a perfect burrito recipe? Many, MANY, great nights trekking all the way across the town from MacArthur and Harrison to get to this joint. Legendary burritos.
Now, they are gone - its just not fair. Damn this global warming!!
Really the new guys have to get the old recipe, or at least post where the old owners went. . . jeez.
LOL YES THE TALK OF THE TOWN!
I used to help throw a Drum And Bass / Hip Hop night at this location. It was fun times! Great spot until ish went south.
Man, growing up me and my dad went here like every week, Now...ewwh. It is shame I loved the taco with whole beans.... what memories of looking over the juke box over and over whle papa's had a beer at the bar, while waiting for or tacos. A wait that seemed so long. But this is just a memory...Now ewwh. Like13 years ago this place was 5 stars. Even after I moved out of Oakland me and my girl would ride the good ole ac Transit from castro valley just to get some PINCHE tacos. Now I wont even drive my car for their pinche tacos... It seems like after the shut down it never came back....I miss you old talk of the town. Some great things just come an end.
the last time i was there, the burrito didn't measure up to the previous owner's burrito. also, the place was nearly empty.
4/30 looks like new owners have taken over.
Oh hell yes!!! I remember this place and really wish it was still in business with the original owners and the workers in there. They had the best burritos ever. My parents used to come here after late night church services when I was a kid. I haven't had a burrito yet that tasted as good as theres. I was to young to drink there back when they were open but I heard they closed because of some shady business taking place and thats why the original owners are no longer there. But its got a new name but the old Talk of Town sign is still up. Still looking for a taco truck that measures up.
