I am really torn on how to rate this place.  We stayed here last Saturday night (9/10/11) as my friends were getting married that night.  We paid $80 for a room, it had 2 queen beds, which was a little random as we only needed one, but that's what they gave us.  The woman that works the front desk (and I am pretty sure she owns the place as she lives on site) was extremely kind and friendly.  That is the only reason I am having a hard time rating this place.  The hotel itself is horrible.  There was only one light in the room portion which made it impossible to get ready for this wedding, and the bathroom area was dirty.  The towels smelled horrible, I had a hard time using a washcloth to wash my face.  20 minutes after we got to our room we noticed a black lacy women's thong UNDERWEAR hanging on top of the lamp between the beds.  We did not remove it as who wants to touch someone else's underwear?!?!?  The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the clientele there was very telling of what kind of hotel it was (when we left the next morning there were men's boxers and shorts hang drying from the rail next to our car).  However, the woman  that works there was so accommodating and kind I have a hard time giving this place the review it deserves without taking the customer service into consideration.  I am pretty sure she and the other gentleman who work there are the ones who clean the room, and considering the lack of lighting I guess it is easy to overlook most of the dirtiness of the room?  There is next to no parking here as well.  Once again, the woman who works here was so considerate of us!  She brought an iron and ironing board up to our room when we checked in.  The next morning we called to see if they served coffee downstairs and she brought up a coffee maker along with cream and sugar and coffee.  She probably would have got out and picked up food for us for breakfast had we asked!  She was so sweet, such a nice woman to talk to.  As far as the cleanliness, that is something that the staff there can remedy however the hotel itself desperately needs to be updated and it shows.  I honestly do not think it was worth $80 but fortunately we only spend about 10 hours in our room between sleeping and packing up to leave.     And since we were just going straight home after checking out, I could not subject myself to a shower there, as it was slightly nauseating to set food into the bathroom at all.

This place was really surprising for the price. We payed $49 a night for a Friday and Saturday in September. For $49 we were expecting a complete dive. But much to our delight the place was quite clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and not sunken, there's a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, the hot water and water pressure was good, there's a pool (tho it was empty), and the place had a bit of character. Best of all it's a family run business and the lady who's the owner is very sweet and helpful.

My only gripes would be that the parking lot is kind of funky. Also while it's walking distance from the casinos (probably 1/3rd of a mile), we definitely saw some sketchy people smoking crack walking back Fri night. Tho it should be noted that they didn't bother us..

Motel locates 2-3 blocks away from Harveys, Harrahs, Horrizon hotels, and major shopping center.  Small swimming pool was empty.  There are four parking spots in the front and more in the back.

Prices vary.  Quality is okay and inexpensive if you rent it during off season, which includes fridge, microwave, tv, and internet.  You will need to ask for the code to get web access.  Rooms are spacious.  Bathroom has a window for ventiliation, while the long, sink counter is outside.

Asian lady  was sweet, welcoming, considerate, and informative.  She allowed me to check out the room first while I was still shopping around.  She was so thoughtful and gave us the downstairs room to accommodate our mountain bikes.  She also brought us doughnuts for breakfast.  She gets five stars for her patience, warm introduction, wonderful service, and outgoing personality.

It was worth $49/night for Sat. and Sun.  I was happy she matched Horrizon Hotel deal.

My wife and I were looking for some cheap lodging for a weekend trip to Tahoe.  All we needed was a place to sleep and not much else.  This place seemed to fit the bill for basic accommodations for about $80.

The rooms, while not dirty, definitely feel old and used.  The walls of our room were marked up and discolored in some areas, the paint on the cabinets was chipped, and there were places where the carpet was torn up.  Again, nothing major but it felt more like someone's old back room in their house and not a clean motel room.

The reason why I give this place such a low rating is because all night long we heard a tapping sound.  We could not pinpoint what was causing it, but it sounded like water dripping on a drum pad.  We looked out the window and couldn't see anything dripping.  Maybe it was the heater, but the sound did not go away after we turned it off.  Anyway, it kept us up nearly all night.  It was like trying to sleep while someone is constantly knocking on your door.  For a place that basically offers a roof over your head and a place to sleep, not being able to fall asleep is a big problem.

The Asian woman at the front desk was very nice, but the place needs some major upgrades just to get it up to "Motel 6" quality.

Stayed here on Saturday night for $66.

Definitely not two blocks from the Casino or the Heavenly Gondola.  There is no way I would walk there from the Casinos when it gets dark, especially after winning all the $$ from the Casinos.  As far as the walk to the Gondola...not a chance..especially in ski boots.

Pros:  Shuttle to Heavenly is short walk down the road.  Owners are very accomodating and nice.
Cons:  Probably only 4 parking spots available, long walk to the casinos/gondolas, definitely old and in dire need of updating, dark at night, Heater not working, room is poorly insulated, small tv, etc.

Would not stay here again, unless, everything else is booked.
