If you love 70's decor - and nice sweet owners that are still behind the times then you will love this place!
Seriously - it is an old motel and nothing in the rooms have been updated except for the tv's. Totally clean!!! But its cheap and in a great location.
Many times have we stumbled back from $1 shot night at Nero's and slept in way past the check out time. No knocking on the door or phone calls to the police to kick us out. One time we ... oh I can't devulge that information. But it was AWESOME!
They have a hot tub and a pool that is not heated. It is in the parking lot - right IN the parking lot on the corner!

UPDATE: 9/9/07
Goodbye Tahoe Queen - and all those little hotels in the area for a Big huge complex! We stayed here one last time for Labor Day weekend on our way up to Reno for the BBQ cook-off. Good thing too.
We arrived with every hotel from the boulvard to 3 blocks down gone - demo'd - vanished! Asking the owner about it he said all those and the next 3 more blocks down have sold their property to a company that will demo everything and put up a convention center, theater and retail shops!
Good money and time for retirement he said. Somewhere warm, with no snow.
So thanks for the memories - drunken, hungover memories! Great prices and great location made it easy to deal with the 70's decor!
That's too bad - Tahoe will soon be too commercialized and not a cute village anymore!
