We stayed off season, mostly for a place to stay before and after a rafting trip, and Lake George in general was dead. Most restaurants were not even open except for the ubiquitous pizza/Italian places on the main drag.

The Tahoe Beach Club is one of the first places you will see coming off I87 at exit 22 and making a left onto Lakeshore Dr. It is very close to downtown Lake George (1/2 mile in opposite direction).

We had a suite with a king-size bed, table & chairs, a small refrigerator and a balcony with a real nice view of the Lake. It was priced tight at $79 with a $10 off per night coupon from the web....so $69/night was a good deal.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The view of the lake from the lakeview room was really nice. It was actually a good quiet time to go, green on the trees, but not wall to wall people.

It is a slightly older hotel (as most are up there) and could maybe use a dab of paint here or there as well as a touch of wallpaper glue in spots, but all in all, it was a comfortable room to stay in.

They do have a heated pool and even though it was open, we did not get to enjoy it due to the chilly weather. As stated,we were early in the season, before Memorial Day. The hotel also has a nice little beach area on the lake.

No continental breakfast or restaurant in the hotel, so we had to go out all the time for eats or have stuff that could be stored in the fridge.

I would like to hear what this place and Lake George is like in mid-season, so it would be nice to have some feedback here if anyone goes! Frankly, I am not sure how much I would want to return to Lake George in general. It did not seem like it would fit the bill for being a relaxing place, or at the other extreme, a hopping place either. Maybe I am misjudging it because of the time of year, but I did not see much there that made me say "wow, we've got to come back!"

Anyway, to get back to specifics, when it comes to hotels, the bottom line is having a nice clean room in which you are comfortable, and the Tahoe, off-season, covered the bases at  a good price, Just a good average hotel at a good off-season rate. If you want to go to Lake George and can get these rates, give it a shot.
