The best taco truck in the bay area HANDS DOWN! I've been coming to this taco truck for many years. Even before they moved to their new location on Thornton! I come to this taco truck specifically for the Chicharron tacos. No other taqueria makes anything like it. Its very flavor full, crunchy and to too soggy. My regular order is three Chicharron tacos and a regular burrito with carnitas and chicharron. Definitely give it a try. I almost think is better than Los Gallos!

BEST FOOD EVER AND IT COMES FROM A ROACH COACH!!! I WOULD LIVE ON THIS STUFF IF IT WOULDN'T MAKE ME A FAT BASTARD!!!
TIP: The regular burritos are kinda dry but that is what the excellent hot sauce is for.. add some to each bite
MY ORDER: four steak tacos with a side of radishes.

This is comfort and convenience food for me, as "fast food" as I get. With this taco truck consistently parked in my hood, a good and satisfying meal is mine within minutes of my front door and under $5 as well. I have eaten at many taquerias, and I rarely find tacos out there that rival La Esmeralda's.
The tacos are 2 very small but soft and light, warm corn tortillas topped with your choice of meat, then chopped white onions and cilantro. My favorites are the lengua (perfectly cooked), carnitas (when I'm in the mood for something greasier), carne asada (the old standby) and the cabeza (a very juicy but messy taco). The pastor and birria are just okay, but only b/c I will go elsewhere for these special recipes. 3 tacos and a soda for $4.75 is a lunch deal that just cannot be beat, in terms of what I am getting.
So don't be afraid of the stigma "roach coach" particularly this one, for it has been popularly catering to the Centerville area of Fremont for many, many years. It used to park off Peralta by the old Great Entertainer, but now seems to find its home on Thornton-west bound between Fremont Blvd and Paseo Padre Prkwy. Fucking good shit, I tell ya. I tend to use foul language when either I don't like something or I really like something. It's the fucking latter here.

This Taco truck is always crowded.
Everytime i pass there is a line of people waiting for their orders.
I always get their Carne Asada Tacos for $1.25. Its like the real thing from Mexico.
If you want a snack and love Tacos .. go to this hidden gem in Fremont.
They are there Monday - Sunday.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the folding table and lawn chairs out in the parking lot....
DAMN... they finally "renovated" !!!
and now I can enjoy my tacos sitting down, instead of standing or in the seat of my car...
I have had many tacos in my days... and to this day... this has to be my favorite TACO TRUCK...(in the bay area)
They have your normal array of meats: Carne Asada, Pastor, Lengua, Chicharron, etc...
with Marinated carrots, Radishes, and a nice spicy hot sauce in the side bar
Food comes out quick and is $1.25 a taco... my wallet loves it..., but my heart doesn't.. just another guilty pleasure

This taco truck is in an abandoned parking lot between Paseo Padre & Fremont Blvd on Thornton Ave. Just pass the First 18-wheeler, then you got to make a quick Right or you'll pass the truck & parking lot.
I missed it the first time I tried to come here, so I parked in the QQ Noodle parking lot and walked over.
I got 6 tacos for me & hubby. 3 carnitas, 3 pastor, 3 lengua. I liked the pastor & lengua, but the carnitas is way, way, too dry. Can be oily too.
They have the usually taco truck fair. Tacos are $1.25 w/ meat, cilantro & onions. They are tiny so 3 is good for 1 person.
Burritos are $3.75 (I think) for regular and $5.25 for super.
quesadillas, tortas, sodas to go (on ice), some hot sauce available; lime; radish. I didn't get the hot sauce but others did.
Cash Only. My total for 6 tacos was $7.50. Dinner for 2, rock out!
