I had a tough time rating this place. It hurts to say this, but the the food is mediocre. On the flip side this can be a fun/lively place to go and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is cool and after feeling poor from going to Whole Paycheck next door and wondering if what you bought is really organic this is a good place to unwind.
For the niche of deep fried lovers out there (the very few of you) - I had the deep fried cheesecake - try it once for the novelty, but don't try it twice.
Eh. Most of their food tastes really bland to me, though if you pile on enough sour cream, their quesadillas and nachos are just fine. I'd never go here purposely without already being in the area. It's been completely empty every time I've gone, but I bet it's busy during the day from people who work nearby, and on certain nights when games are on.
I really like Taco Fiesta. They have a burrito that has potatoes in it, which is awesome (seriously...potatoes). Their nachos are excellent, and the burritos and tacos are good as well. They have horchata, whcih is a Mexican rice milk and cinnamon drink, and they have some sort of margarita type drink behind the cash registers that is pretty good if you want that sort of thing. My boyfriend appreciates how vegan friendly they are, and he really likes the fact that he can get cabbage in his burrito (and is sad that the potatoes are cooked in butter). They also have a bar and TV screens, and because of that it can get very happy hour-ish, but I definitely recommend going. Its the type of place where you order at the counter and bring you your food, and there's seating on that level or upstairs. It's great for groups, especially if you're meeting up with people because of the seating yourself policy. The only problem is parking in that area is really limited but what I've done is parked in the Whole Foods lot, and then after dinner bought something from Whole Foods to get it validated (and really, who doesn't always need SOMETHING from Whole Foods).
