Sometimes, us Mexicans, want to know what the gringos interpretations on our cuisine are like. We actually have a secret society that goes around jotting down ideas, tastes tests, etc. I may pertain to that society, I may not.
All I know is that I have been guilty of consuming products from this venue (at least I have the cojones to admit it)...and to be honest- in comparison to some lame-ass excuses of Mexican joints up in NYC, sometimes I'd rather hit up El Taco Bell. Can ya blame me? (plus, sometimes when one only has like 5 bones in their pockets- you gotta make do, bee)

This is one of the grimiest and shittiest taco bells I have ever been to.
Even getting inside is an obstacle. Once you pass the black bum that lives there(literally) ,the annoying kids selling the candy bars for "charity" , and the loud scenesters blocking the entrance, you will enter the smelliest taco bell in nyc.
You will find yourself thinking, "was it really worth going through 20 hustlers to get here?"
The staff here is extremely rude, slow and don't even think about trying to get a free refill here. You'll be cursed out in Spanish for it.
I once opened the bathroom door and literally found a drugged up guy fondling a rat. No lie or exaggeration, if you need a taco bell fix, try ANY other one.
BARRRFFFFFFF! Synthetic goop.......Your craving will end after the first few bites, then the regret will set in.....15 minutes later you will be pumping out more gas than exxon......The funniest though is that over the times I've been there always seems to be a group of stoner kids chowing down with the munchies......They do stay open late though...so if you have any extremely desparate hunger pains, this may be the place for you....

Taco Bell hits the spot when you're craving it. But I wish they would have avoided giving me a cup filled with tap water with sink pipe residue in the cup floating around. That kind of stuff makes the beans look commendable.

Sure, it's not Mexican food. Taco Bell is fast food at its best. It's the best fast food hands down, one of the worlds greatest creations since Ketchup. Everything on the menu is great. My only complaint about Taco Bell is that there are not enough of them in the city. Getting diarrhea a few times a year is totally worth it, even with a little vomit. Rats make it taste better and give it character. No matter what happens I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for TB. Thanks for all the wonderful years....

The stench that emanates from this locale is beyond description-burnt fake cheese and steam. The infamous site of Courtney Love boob flash.

Taco Bell at Union Square is the best tasting taco bell chain because it's located at Union Square. Union Square is also faster than many other locations I've been to. Let's cross fingers and hope that they dont have as many rats as other locations but that's just crossing fingers so forget that. Just gotta make sure when u see rat hair or rat poo, simply use your finger to take it out, put it back in your mouth.

Sure, there are alot of great places to eat in the Union Square area but sometimes, like yesterday, you just want the Bell! I have been eating at Taco Bell for years and remember when the tacos were 19 cents! I used to get 3 tacos and a drink and have enough money left over from a dollar to get a double scoop(.10) at the Sav-on drug store! Something about the Christmas season gets me nostalgic about my childhood. No need for me to review the menu. I just wanted to give a shout out to the Bell. Thanks for the thousands of tacos and burritos.

aside the rat menu... this Taco Bell is probably the most tolerable out of all the locations. it's because it is in Union Square. yup.

Yeah, I too am a long-time customer of taco bell. The 7-layer burrito or standard crispy tacos are reliably satisfying. It doesn't bother me that it is far from authentic Mexican food, but still it doesn't deserve 5 stars, please!
