You'd be hard pressed to find a store with a larger beer, wine or liquor selection. According to their website: "Table & Vine carries: nearly 4,000 varieties of wine, over 2,700 spirits, 1,000 domestic, imported, micro and craft-brewed beers, 150 artisan cheeses and 1,500 specialty foods." They have shopping carts, so I suppose that puts a good visual on this place's size. They also have a nice selection of cheeses, crackers, etc., which works out well if you're just looking to pick up some wine and cheese for a few guests, or to bring to a dinner with friends.
Maybe it's my imagination, but the prices aren't as much of a steal as they used to be when it was called "Town & Country." They can still be quite good, but kind of in the same way that Costco / BJ's wholesale clubs are only a deal if you know typical prices.
The website is http://www.tableandvin.... You can go on there and shop via an extensive on-line catalog, or just read some literature and teach yourself about beer, wine, etc. They also have a sale flier on there. The website is all new to me, however. (Found it about 5 minutes ago).
Love this store. Great expansive selection of beers, wines, and liquors. Nice selection of cheeses and cooking aides like olive oils and such. Wouldn't recommend randomly trying the cheese they have out to sample though.
I don't go here nearly as much as when this store was in Northampton but when I feel a wine shopping spree bubbling to the surface, this is where I go. They are very complete in there selection both in varietal and regional selections. They carry a wide assortment of cheeses, crackers, and gourmet foods. And if there is a hard liquor or beer that you fancy, chances are they carry it. The staff is quite knowledgeable and always willing to help find that perfect wine for any occasion. I was sorry to see them leave the area but at least they still exist, if not a bit farther away. Though I listed the $$ as moderate, it really depends on what you're buying doesn't it?
Town & Country Liquors is the biggest liquor store in the area by far. (And it's nice and actually clean inside unlike most other liquor stores) Hundreds of types of beers, so much wine, and every kind of hard liquor you could imagine. Prices are comparable to other liquor stores in the area. The only thing they're lacking is glassware and bar accessories but we can't fault them too much for that.
Glassware and accessories are the only thing keeping Town & Country from perfection; a 4.5 / 5.

This is my one stop shopping when I'm out of wine and beer -- the horror, I know! They also have some sweet little snacks like salsa, chips, crackers, cheese -- all high end and I like it. Their staff is more than helpful and friendly. I am always surprised when I go in to "browse" and walk out with a cart filled with beer, wine, and snacks. I almost always get a new bottle of wine to discover and never feel like I spent too much money. They keep their prices low and that's something worth yelping about!
