Two words: Gay Gum

Two more words: Magic T-Shirt (ask Karla to fix you up with one - tell her I sent you - she'll know what to do)

At a dinner party last week I noticed after my second fruity martini that save for the knickers, bra & Manolos, I was dressed head to toe in Andaluz.

I can think of no higher praise.

Pretty clothes, cool gifts, jewelry made by local designers.  Andaluz has it all, and at prices that will knock your socks off!
Get on their mailing list and they'll send you info on special sales and events.  They did one where they teamed up with Verve Wine Bar (one of my Columbia City faves!) for a little shoppy-shoppy-drinky-drinky.  Damn, why'd I have to miss that one??

If 6th stars were possible I'd give them SEVEN!!!  I FINALLY experienced this place this weekend and can't tell you enough (ladies), how this is the ultimate store for my chicas.  The prices aren't bad at all.  I got a really sweet sterling silver ring for like $14.  Awesome perfume for $24.  It really is a Toy store for big girls....Phenominal.

I like this store so much I'm willing to take a bus from LAKE CITY for another visit!!!

I love Columbia City, and this is another reason why I do. This store is absolutely amazing! I love everything that this little boutique carries. Free People, Tulle, Kenzie, Ad:Hoc- my ultimate fave! I'm in danger everytime I walk by because it's one of the many stores that's like a magnet to my wallet.  I must say though, it's so worth it to look around, you're bound to find something you'll like from the glam kitten to the ultra-Bohemian look- it has it all-and at amazing prices.

Kudos to Jen- she's the ultra groovy gal with the most gorgeous earrings! I went overboard and she totally allowed a return- which by the way, on sale items isn't always allowed.

I dare you to go to Andaluz and walk out empty-handed. I went hoping to find a gift for a friend and left with gifts for three friends and one for myself.

They truly have made the most of a small space; I cannot imagine cramming in one more item. And such an eclectic inventory:  yummy soaps and lotions, hand-made jewelry, artistic cards and prints, adorable baby supplies, books, handbags and clothing, and knick-knacks galore! All very reasonably priced.

If you take the time to look around, and are not claustrophobic, you are sure to find some treasures here.

After hanging out in the neighborhood for several years I finally went in here recently ... and was amazed!  The tiny store front cannot even begin to elude to the massive amount of cool stuff they have in here.  Every inch of this little store is jam-packed with rad, locally-made clothes, jewelry, housewares, cards, etc.  It's like all the best things at I Heart Rummage multiplied and occupied an entire store.  I went in seeking a birthday gift for my little sister and found her a shirt that she absolutely loves!  I will definitely be visiting here again for any future girl-ish gifting needs (for myself and others) ...

This store breaks my heart.

Everything is so cute and smells so good and I am not nearly rich enough to buy all of it. No, really, I mean all of it. It's not like it's crazy expensive, they just have that much cool sh*t.

The staff is friendly; the inventory is original and funky. I found my new signature scent here and one of the hottest shirts currently housed in my wardrobe. Be prepared to spend some time looking, you may find your new favorite clothing item in a pile of other things that have the potential to be your new favorite clothing item.

I am so going back for the wooden birds. Don't touch the red and white one - it's mine.

P.S. Thank you Danielle D., for convincing me that we needed to go shopping after that sad, sad brunch.

P.P.S. I sent my best guy friend here to find birthday gifts for a chick he digs and he called me the same night to gush about how cool their products are and how nice the lady  helping him was and to thank me (repeatedly) for referring him there. See - even dudes like it!

Mm-hmm!  This is what I'm talking about!
Andaluz is a treasure within the treasure that is Columbia City.
If you are hot, or just play hot on t.v., this is where you need to shop.
The selection is drool-worthy, and the prices are right on!
There's even gifts for the man and/or child in your life to assuage the guilt you may or may not feel regarding all that self indulgence you just committed.
Am I projecting?

Have you ever been to someone's house and thought "This is exactly how I would like to decorate my house if only I had the ability to come up with such good ideas in the first place?" I know what I like when I see it, but I have a lot harder time pulling up an idea of what I want out of thin air. Andaluz does that for me. It has all the good ideas in one place and I can just show up and choose from the myriad delights. I love it. If I need a gift for someone (or myself), I know I can go there and find a store full of totally viable options. I've searched high and low in malls and department stores for a purse or dress to no avail and then showed up at Andaluz and found several options to be torn between (a good problem to have).

Andaluz is kind of a trip and not really what I was expecting.  It's not a boutique except that have some boutiquey (is that even a word?) stuff.  It's kind of dark in there are they have a whole bunch of kitchy stuff, including a precious little brown book titled, "What's your Poo Telling You".  But it's not all kitch.  Lovin' the clothes they have there and have made a mental note to come back for winter sweaters.  Lots of cute and very inexpensive jewelry.  All and all a mixed bag.  But in a good way!

When you discover Aundaluz it's like finding a pearl in a oyster.  Love this place, stuffed with tons of cool stuff.  Plan on spending some time because you might miss out on a great find if you just do a quick look.
Cant find what your looking for ~ just ask them they are more then happy to help you, and you will walk out of there carrying a little bag with your treasure wrapped in pretty tissue.  Oh, I just love that part.
