Went here to have a ring turned into a necklace. They immediately knew what I was wanted, provided prompt service and were affordable.
Looks like I found a nice local jeweler. -

My fiance and I had my engagement ring made here with a family diamond. We first stopped by to talk with them about a price estimate, their abilities, willingness and process. We were very happy with all of the above, so we decided to go forward with it. (They were not pushy at all to have us make a decision!)
We had a modern ring made and they did a very good job. I trusted them because of reviews I had read. They didn't take the diamond from us until we had approved the setting and then they set the ring in about an hour. We had an appraisal done before we left. We will be going back for our wedding bands! I was impressed. They are professional, fast, and did exactly what we wanted. :) -

Disappointed.
They have always been great. Friendly. Personable.
Great when it concerns uncomplicated issues, or even making a new ring from a mold. However, if you need something fixed that's a little complicated or intricate, they are reluctant to do it. (even if it was their mistake)Comment from Eric C. of T C Jewelers 12/29/2011

I purchased a ring in Boston and was too anxious to wait a week to get it sized. I called TC Jewelers at 3pm on a Friday afternoon and they said bring it in. I got there at 3:30 and had the ring back on my finger at 4:45. They could not have been nicer. They did a beautiful upsizing job, too.

I usually only write reviews when I feel strongly about a business and I need to express my enthusiasm for TC Jewelers of Arlington.
My yelp elite girlfriend and I love to over analyze our buyer experiences small and large and this has to be the best of the year.
I can't speak highly enough regarding the level of service provided by Tom. On a recommendation from a friend I came in for a consultation with Tom on an engagement ring I was looking to purchase. He told me to bring in a drawing or picture of the ring I was looking for and he would see what he could do.
It's a small little shop in Arlington center that's been in business for just about 25 years. I arrived with pictures in hand and we discussed the setting and the gem stone. He said the setting I was looking for was unique but that he would be able to replicate it and that he would have no problem acquiring the gem stone I was looking for.
I came back in when he had created a plastic version of my ring and had the gem stone ready. He placed the gem stone in the plastic ring to give me an idea of what it looked like and I thought it was exactly what I had asked for. The next time I came in he had crafted the ring and asked me to confirm that it was exactly what I wanted before he permanently set the stone in the ring. Grabbed a coffee, came back and my ring was done!!!
My experience with Tom really left me feeling like he really cared about the ring he was making for me and that he wanted me to be happy with it. All throughout the consultation and design process as he explained to me the differences between all the metals and gemstones, I really felt he was looking out for my best interests and not just trying to make a quick buck. Going so far as to suggest various ways I could modify my original design to save me money.
As a cheap bastard I must say I was EXTREMELY happy with the final price. I would have had to spend considerably more getting something similar from another jeweler or online and for this level of service I couldn't be happier paying the low price that I did. -

I had three pieces of jewelry to bring in. One being a claddagh ring my mom got me years ago and the band has broken twice. Instead of just re-attaching it, they thickened it and also polished it. This was something my mom found at an antique store, and it looks brand new.
The other two, well, I have tiny wrists, so no watch or bracelet, etc., seems to fit. They fit this bracelet very well, and being an odd piece, I knew it'd be a little different sort of work. The watch, in about 2 minutes, they had removed the extra links, and the only thing keeping me from wearing it is the weight of it. These guys did an excellent job and were friendly and quick. HIGHLY recommended. -

I'm so lucky my good friend's parents own TC Jewelers, because it's given me the opportunity to have them make a custom piece for me all the way from MA. Tom, the head jeweler, has a truly magic touch and can create any custom piece imaginable. He took my grandmother's diamond brooch and converted it into a stunning necklace (now my all-time favorite piece). I couldn't have been happier with the quality and results of his work.
Can't wait to visit them in person on my next trip out east, and to grow my collection of shiny gems. Thank you TC Jewelers! -

My white-gold engagement/wedding band had turned yellow gold. I had read the reviews here on Yelp and thought I would bring it in to see what they could do.
They were so nice and explained to me the process of what they were going to do. They cleaned my ring, checked it for dust and then re-dipped it. It looks amazing...like new. I will entrust them with all my jewelry, and when we decide to reset it in platinum, we will definitely go to them. The process only took it an hour!

I should have written this review back in june/july, but I'm a bit lazy.
I came to T C Jewelers after reading your reviews, and getting told what I liked from a chain jewelery story. I had 1000 questions, and the staff was very nice, answering every one of them (some of which added more questions, but that's fine). Even more impressive is that when I first came in, I was in shorts and a tshirt after biking home from work, and it was pouring outside. I was half expecting to be thrown out/dismissed, instead, I was treated very well.
I left that day with nothing, but I came back a few days later, and got a great looking ring (and got the answer I wanted after giving it to her). So I am thrilled with the place.
Summary: Nice, small, when you are there and they treat you like their only customer.
Edit: I just brought said ring in for a repair (we managed to damage it, our fault) and they fixed the ring, shined it up, the works. I'm sticking with "they treat you like their only customer". I'll be back for sure. -

My fiance and I (yeah, we're still not married yet...I know we're slow) were back in town for a week after having moved out to Cali. I think we went in on a Wednesday with our wedding ring doodles, and Tom custom-made them by the following Monday with days to spare before our flight out. Amazing!

I wandered in here inquiring about a pearl necklace for my girlfriend. After showing me some strands that I was not thrilled with one of the owners mentioned she had loose pearls that she could make into a necklace and I could pick out the pearls, clasp, length, etc. She was able to make it in about 45 minutes and it came out great! The price we settled on was about the same as some other stores were offering for lesser quality pearls! She mentioned they do custom work so I will be sure to have my girlfriend come back to make some matching earrings.

Last week I had two rings resized, a broken bail on a pendant repaired and a ring made out of a diamond stud earring.
This was my first time here and I couldn't be happier! The woman I consulted with was patient, helpful and totally put me at ease. She understood exactly what I wanted.
Price, quality and customer service were all the best. -

Ugh, it makes me sad to knock them down to two stars.
I brought in a watch to have its battery changed, a locket that needed some help and a chain my parents gave me that had broken by the clasp. The watch came out fine. I thought I had asked for a particular fix that didn't happen on the locket, but maybe I forgot, so that gets the benefit of the doubt. However, when I got the chain back it was much longer than it had been before. I called the store (I should have checked it in store while I was still there) and told them this and whoever I had on the phone kept asking me why they would make the chain longer and they became very combative and agruementative with me I have no idea why its longer. All I know is that its not the same length as when I brought it in. It is a significantly different length than before. They said I could bring it in and they could shorten it, but I think I've had my fill. I'll take it somewhere else, somewhere that hopefully doesn't provide customer service that includes yelling at me when I ask a question about the work they've done.

I had a collection of jewelry which needed to be repaired. I logged onto Yelp and found T C Jewelers. My collection included 3 necklaces, my aunt's 2 bracelets and a pearl necklace and several of my uncle's rings to be resized. The repairs were done in less than a week, the workmanship was exceptional and also very reasonable. Everyone was pleased with their items. The lovely woman who assisted me was patient and informative. This is my new jeweler.

Tom, the jeweler at TC, created a beautiful platinum engagement ring for me last year. I had a design in mind and simply gave Tom a picture from the Internet. Tom created a model for me and spent many hours making it perfect. This year Tom made me a custom wedding band to match it. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the difference is service. My wife and I spent hours with Tom and he was delighted to help us create what we wanted. I went to all the big jewelry stores like Long's, Barmakian, Royal Jewelers, etc and then I found Tom. He bested their price and service. My wife constantly gets complements on the rings and whenever I stop in I'm always treated as a valued customer. Tom's store is not big or fancy but you get to deal with the person that is making your jewelry and he takes pride in the finished product. You will be a satisfied customer. Absolutely recommend.
