It's like a really really thin version of NY pizza.  So thin that it flops around everywhere and you most definitely have to fold it into a sandwich.

So it's open late but I wanted to have it for dinner and still have time to digest.  Two large pizzas can easily be consumed by four people so if you don't care about portion control or are just plain starving, get an additional appetizer.  Two pizzas that I recommend would be a Hawaiian and a garlic/prosciutto/spinach pizza.  Tasted great but it could be that I was so hungry I couldn't even stop to think.

I had high hopes about T. Anthony's since a friend of mine raves about it all the time.  Although to be fair I guess she really likes the sandwiches and I ordered a pizza.  But she's also said good things about the pizza too...

I decided to do take-out since I live two blocks away and felt ridiculous asking for delivery.  If the person who took my order on the phone wasn't super friendly, he wasn't rude either.  A simple order, a large pizza, half pineapple, half hamburger.  He told me it would be ready in about 15 minutes.

About 18 minutes later I walk into the restaurant and when I try to get my pizza, the one guy is confused and seems to think the pizza was never made.  Another guy however hears me and puts a pizza up on a shelf, and I can read on the side of it "1/2 pineapple + 1/2 hamburger", so unless someone else happened to order the exact same thing I thought that was my pizza...  I try to tell the one guy that I'm pretty sure my pizza is up on the shelf, but he either doesn't hear me or something, because he tells me it'll just be a minute.  I end up waiting about 5-10 minutes with a pizza that I'm pretty sure is mine in sight.

Finally the guy realizes its my pizza and takes it down and I pay for it.  I walk it two blocks home through the cold, and decide to warm it up in the oven at home for a few minutes.  This might'be been a bad idea, since the crust ended up not tasting all that yummy, but the consensus was that 2 minutes in a 300 degree oven wouldn't affect the crust that much and it was probably not all the yummy to begin with.  That being said, the sauce and toppings were perfect.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was a)my fault for ruining the crust, and b)that it was slightly busy when I went in, so losing my pizza for 5-10 minutes makes some kind of sense.  I'll definitely have to try them again, maybe at an off-hour to see if the food is actually as good as I've heard.  Until then though, I think I'd rather go somewhere that can handle the dinner rush....

A totally biased review, to be sure. T Anthony's is where I wound up every time I found my drunken undergrad-self starving and in desperate need of grease. Very original. Me and everyone else you've ever known. Nothing caps a Saturday night like seeing your walk of shame from Friday.

I love the atmosphere. I love the staff. I love the pizza.

In fact, I love this place enough that in my more mature years, I have entured to this fine establishment for meals other than super-late night pizzas. Breakfast is a pretty solid meal here, too.

If you catch it at the right time, you can even see the "BU celebrities" or the college hockey team.

Sorry T.  I love your food especially the chicken panino and the buffalo wrap.

BUT, when you deliver my food close to an hour later than estimated and COLD, you're going to get a two-star review.

Meh sums it up. I've had the pizza here and a couple different sandwiches. Nothing too special. i will say they do have good fries. This place gets packed late at night with drunk people. There in lies the secret to fully enjoying T Anthony's cuisine.

T. Anthony's is something that I just grew up with. It was good, but it really never seemed to blow me away. They have great subs and have specials pretty often, changing up the board from prosciutto paninis to wraps. They've got nice guys working there, but some of them don't always pay attention to what you're saying so you may have to repeat yourself a couple times...after the rest of your food has arrived. Sometimes consistent and living up to their own standards and sometimes? They just don't!

Pretty solid food. I don't usually go for the pizza, but they make a pretty good chicken parm sub even though it's not on the menu. Ooey, gooey, cheesey goodness with a well toasted sub roll. Ask for it. You might thank me.

Delicious crust.

We ordered the sausage and spinach pizza around midnight...they deliver late which is a plus.

The sausage was delicious, but the spinach...was a bit soggy.  We expected spinach leaves, but it looked like frozen spinach they had just thawed and thrown onto the pizza.

Minus the spinach, the pizza was delicious.

Most Italian takeout places are pretty standard and similar.   Unless something is dreadfully wrong - which of course, has happened here and there from time to time - it's not usually hard to prepare pizza, subs, pasta, and side salads.   And so on and so on.   So even after many successful and tasty deliveries from T. Anthony of all of the above in some form of another, I still wasn't expecting much when I decided to visit the establishment to - wait for it, wait for it - eat in.

Well, gosh - color me all sorts of surprised.  Pleasantly so.   T. Anthony is a nice little place!   Family friendly, clean, good atmosphere, well-designed, and the food? Still great!   Even with actual silverware.

Delicious and fabulous.

This is how I feel about T Anthony's

If you haven't had their pizza, then you're a goddamned fool. You know how great a pizza place is when you have their standard cheese and this place KNOWS how to make pizza. It is fucking delicious!
Their breakfast sandwiches are yummy.. from what I remember.
Their buffalo chicken wraps are yummy but fall apart on you. I strongly suggest they start wrapping their wraps in foil so you can at least eat half of your wrap before it falls apart. I looked like a damn messy baby eating mine! I HATE messy food!!
Also, their spaghetti and meatballs needs more meatballs- less grease. (Too much grease in your Marinara, guys! Sorry!)
I feel like their prices are fair, for the most part, you don't have to wait forever for their food. The guys that work here are on their game and I really enjoy my transactions with them. Nothing like a curt but amusing personality to work with.

It's roughly 3.30am on a Sunday morning.

(Prepare to completely disregard the following as utterly irrelevant and not an accurate depiction of the business.)

I have just arrived at T Anthony's, from The Estate/Daisy Buchanan's/The Bar Room. I am not of sobriety, and I somehow find myself in the kitchen, next to a very large fridge and beside a boiling pot of meatballs. Apparently I had traipsed in the back door, and promptly befriended much of the kitchen staff. (Those guys are just so gosh darn friendly to drunk Asian chicks!)

I don't remember much after that, but I do recall a very sweet Carlo making me a delicious turkey-and-cheese sub. Yummy.

Cook me anything between the hours of 1am and 4am and I promise, I will love you forever.

Been here in the wee hours of the morning--definitely does the trick for a late-night pizza or fries craving, no matter how you've induced it. Decent takeout pizza too. A BU standard, and one of the few places on campus that stays open for late-night eats.

Good steak&cheese.

Seriously, good steak&cheese, they use real steak tips, and not that fatty ground up crap that you find at other places. I ain't tried the pizza as the steak&cheese is so good (at least compared to other steak&cheese sub places in Boston).

Great pizza/italian place near BU. Atmosphere is great with huge windows that open in the summer time to get some fresh air in.

Pizza is great but you should also try the chicken parm, seasoned curly fries, burgers and subs.

They also make good breakfast. Delivery is cheap and easy too!

Great late night snack.  The Sicilian is pretty tasty and the prices are very affordable.

Don't try to finish a whole pie with two people..I'm still regretting it.

The place just needs a TV for the customers and it is perfect.

I'd go again, but purely out of convenience.

I still order a pie from T-Anthony's, even in my post collegiate/Allston living days.  Their pizza is just so good; real east coast style.  And the guys that work there are really funny, always yelling at one another.  And fine, maybe I spent some of my younger years here at some ungodly hour singing Ace of Base or Queen with my friends while we dance with strangers; it's part of what makes this place so great!

But the real secret?  Their BREAKFAST.  People forget about it, but it's really good and cheap, diner style.  Eggs, toast, bacon, coffee...mmmmm.  We still go sometimes for a fix, even though we've moved far away from our beloved T-Anthony's.

I love the panino sandwich. In fact I didn't want to write a review simply because that means I'll be craving one for tomorrow. Fresh motz, tomatoes marinated in delicious olive oil and crispy Italian bread. Simple but truly incredible. The pizza is obviously really popular too. I love coming here around lunch, it's very busy but a lively atmosphere...for takeout orders they are very quick! This is a nice cheap eat :)

this place is horrible. i ordered a 2 topping sausage/artichoke pizza and after waiting an hour i got a half bacon half pepperoni. at this point i was starving so i called them to tell them they messed up and to get a refund for the difference. normally i dont care about a few dollars, but i do when i dont even get what i ordered.

the guy on the phone tried to get me to wait for another pizza, which i ddint want. i said i would just keep this one + he could refund me the difference.

he YELLED at me saying i was "tryna get sumthing fa nuthin" and that i couldn't be "tryna get sumthin fa free" and "dont try, i deal with this kinda stuff all the time". HOW APPALLING! he said he assumed i was a student, which i am not, but even if i WAS- who accuses people of trying to get free $12 pizza? worst customer service ever. ever. ever.

i wasnt even trying to get anything for free, although if they were any sort of decent business they wouldve refunded me considering they didn't give me what it was i ordered.

i ended up telling them to keep my $12, because this guy was such an arrogant ASS i couldn't talk to him for another minute.

obv, never ordering from these rude motherfuckers ever again. not cool.

"I am so.......wasted"
"Omg me too. I'm hungry"
"Let's go to T ANTHONY's!"

How many times did I have THAT conversation over my 4 years in college? A lot.

*stumble into T Anthony's. flip flop flies off onto the floor. I continue walking*

"Hi canigetuhhhhhhhhh...what do you want?"
"I donno......i'm drunk. i'll have anything...whatever you're having"
"SHIT. Do you have any cash?"

*rummaging through purse ensues*
*lip gloss falls floor*
*pennies fly everywhere*
*ribbed for her pleasure condom falls on floor*

"Uhhhhh....I think you dropped something," says the Bro behind me.
"Oh, thanks," I say nonchalantly. *raises eyebrows groucho marx style* "This is for laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaater!"

*burst of giggles lasts for 5 minutes*

after wiping a tear away from too much laughing, my friend and I order a couple of cheese slices that are so delicious while inebriated that it should be illegal in 48 states.

And then we do it again next weekend.

T Anthony's
cheap
delicious
open late
good sports with the drunken BU crowd.

Not gonna lie...love it.  Always have.

The guys that work here aren't always the friendliest or anything, but you're not hanging out with them.

Great big slices, thin crust, nice sauce with -gasp!- actual tomatoes in it, not too cheesy.  Great pizza!

They also have a huge menu of other options as well, including daily specials.  Their Macaroni and Cheese is enough to put a brother in the ground.

This might be one of the most overrated places on BUs campus.  Sure the pizza is better than dominos, but I still don't get BU students obsession with this place.  Maybe they have all had some drinks and don't realize what they are eating and just like this place because its open after they have partied.

That is one good thing about this place, its open later than most places.  It could probably satisfy a late night craving for pizza.  The pizza is average though.  The subs are also average.  The service in this place isn't great either, but if you are hungry for some cheesy pizza late into the night, heres the place to go.

Also, it is newly renovated and makes this place look modern.

Perfect escape from dining hall food, even better pit-stop on the way home from a long night in Allston. This pizza is always fresh, always hot, and always good.

Their food is decent. Pasta is okay, cheese sticks are good (and so many!), chicken sandwiches/subs are good, and the salads are decent too.

If you can put up with the people in here on a weekend night, go for it. If you'd rather eat your pizza in peace, (sans juke-box kareoke-ing and drunken skanky girls, way overdressed for Allston) then... steer clear until Monday or Tuesday, when everybody will be too hung over to bother you while you eat your meal. Though, the thick Italian/Boston/New York mix of accents screaming over the microphone, calling out numbers and orders will remain incessant.

I've had some good and bad experiences here.
Lets dive into it, shall we?

Late night, snow storm- still open- yay! Got pizza and some apps on the way home. Very good.

Dinner time- got some slices and dessert

Breakfast- If i go to the B line on always smell bacon as i pass by (thats heaven to me!). Well they did not clean off their grill very well the one day i got a bacon, egg, and cheese. My egg was green from grill residue. That was quickly thrown onto Comm Ave.

The food ends up pretty well every time. They always seem to have some weird issues with lines (there is a reg line and a breakfast line), and there always seem to be annoying BU girls there (stopp wearing Uggs- they are old!) but overall it is a quick place to stop in and grab a slice.

This is undoubtedly the best pizza in Boston when the old man is in the kitchen (often weekend evenings). Other times, it's good but uneven (too much sugar or too little salt in the sauce, crust undercooked, etc.)

The greasy spoon breakfast items are edible but nothing special.

I like T. Anthony's food, I do.  The pizza's very good, the chicken parm sub (which they don't list on the menu, but do make) is delightfully gooey and tasty, the salads are good, and so on.

However, the service is a little ehh.  They've forgotten about me in the restaurant before (I don't know why they thought I was standing in front of the wrong end of the counter for 15 minutes) and the delivery took a LONG time and the guy handed my order off without a word (I said thank you, he didn't respond) and acted as though I were inconveniencing him.

A better experience can be had in the restaurant ordering pizza, that's pretty no-fail.

It's rainy, its cold, I forgot to bring my lunch. I look out the window and I see T.Anthony's right across the street. How convenient. I'll try a slice of pizza. Hmm, after figuring that I would order a slice of pepperoni, I saw that they had soup as a daily special, a cup or bowl. I ask what the soup is, he said they didn't make soup that day.

Not only is the guy taking the order loud and rude, but why place soup as a daily special if you didn't even MAKE the soup that day? Are you really that lazy to wipe off two words?  The place isn't even that big.

The pizza was okay. It tasted like Chuckee Cheese's pizza. Thin, greasy, big slices of pepperoni, but the taste is the same. Bleh.  Boston Pizza is pretty good, but stick to the pizza only. For more about boston Pizza, see Boston Pizza Review.

Everything I had was just the amount of goodness to grease ratio: slice of pizza, plate of both onion rings and French fries.  I should note that I mistook the sugar canister for parmigiana cheese (woops!), but on top of heavily hot flaked pizza, it was still delicious!  I would definitely go back for a late night snack, especially since it's big enough so that you can enjoy your snacks without feeling infringed by other patrons.

T Anthony's had my FAVORITE pizza when I lived in Boston. It was a real step away from the traditional greasy Greek style pizza that you can find anywhere.

Their pasta's are also really good, I think I just to get the fettucini alfredo and it was always really yummy.

Pizza is really good.  It's not too overpriced.  Sometimes the food takes a little bit to get, but all in all it's a great place to go for an everyday meal.

Their fries are really good, and I dig their greek salad (nothing fancy, just iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red peppers, and olives).  My boyfriend always gets a cheeseburger which he loves when he's craving a tasty greasy burger.

I don't like the fact that it's riddled w/ college kids, but as long as you stay away from going there too late, the kids are not too drunk to be so annoying that you don't want to eat there.

In fact, I think I might go there for food right now.

T Anthony's is a classic East Coast pizza joint. Good cheap quick round pizza available by the slice or as the whole pie. It's not a dining establishment - it's an eating establishment. It's exactly what you would expect for American Pizzeria. Especially with the jukebox.

I can't say I like the pizza here as much as I like proper Italian pizza (from Italy or maybe Bertucci's), but it is a good example of American Pizza (although Regina does it better). American pizza has been around since the first pizza joint opened in Manhattan in 1905. Coney Island and New Haven pizzerias followed in the 1920s. The American pizza started out as a sold-per-slice venture and as such the whole round pizza is much larger than Italian pizzas and the base, whilst remaining thin, is more flexible to allow the slice to be eaten from the hand. Americans also like the good stuff so there is a lot more cheese and a saltier, oilier sauce. I can't deny it tastes good!

The slice by which all American Pizza slices is judged by is surely the pepperoni. I think T Anthony's does it well. How well? Well, I've not had pizza in New York yet so we'll have to wait on the true verdict.

My slice was some of the best pizza I've had in this city. Classic, thin crust, red sauce that's slightly sweet, a little oregano. Sure, the pie had just come out of the oven so it was fresh, but that's really how you need to judge a place's pizza.

I wish the slice itself had been a little bigger, but then, I'm a fat kid.

My coworkers had dissed and dismissed their salads before, making the trek to BHOP, so I was wary. The verdict?? Big, fresh, good veggies. Not a bad salad at all. And what else? Pretty damn cheap! $4.60 for a large Greek Salad?

The guys at the counter were some of the nicest pizza slingers I've encountered in a while. Sure it wasn't during a rush, but I'll give them the credit anyway.

If you work or go to BU, you'll probably run into someone you know. Even if it's not during the rush hour.

But they do get busy. Sometimes, if they get a large order in that occupies all their ovens, really only salads and sandwiches will be offered until the orders complete. And, if it's a cold, rainy, Friday afternoon, you're probably not the only one craving hot delivery, so the wait might be an hour or so. Be patient though, it's worth it.

I really appreciate T-Anthony for what it is... a place you can get some really unhealthy sauce/cheese/whatever covered late night junk food.
(and um some after class junk food too.. but shhhh I try not to admit that part)
My favorite things there is the egg plant parm sub... seriously like a delicious heart-attack in a bun. mmmmm. The pizza is pretty tasty too.
It's pretty cheap on it's own, but those coupon booklets BU puts out on the street at the start of the semester always have  'buy a pie or sub & get one for half off' coupons that I stock up on.... ya I go here a little too much.... I even have them programmed into my phone so that I can order when I leave school & pick it up on my way home.
The dudes are pretty rude, but they've grown on me and now I even maybe find them charming at times.
Plus it's open so much later than pretty much anything else in the area... my friends and I all stop here after we go out to bars.

Kudos!  I was so happy to see a place that was open at 2 am, and the pizza totally hit the spot.  The dude at the counter was fast and not mean, as they tend to become at 2 am (they ARE trying to close, and it's their busiest hour).

And, as always, watching drunk college kids in their own habitat is a great sociology experiment for the scientist in me.

Pizza's aaalriight. Before I came here for the first time, the BU kids raved about how glorious T's pizza was, so when the time came for me to eat a slice for the first time, I was, naturally, slightly disappointed.

That said, the experience of going there is fun since it feels like it's a part of college life: drunk kids yelling or singing or humping the juke box when they're in line, people falling asleep at the tables waiting for their pizza, girls waiting in long lines for the bathroom, kids eating their 5th slice and well on their way for the freshman 15, mini skirts and tube tops standing outside in the New England winter weather having a smoke... the list goes on.

The dudes that run the place are well acquainted with this behavior, bellow at us in their Boston accents, serve us our coveted food, and thus, are like family.

Yay BU

The food at T Anthony's is exactly what you would expect from a typical pizza joint. The pizza isn't the best, but it definitely hits the spot after leaving the bars.  Their subs and salads are a much better buy, but their menu really has anything you would want.

This place is definitely a BU favorite, as at any time in the day, there are crowds of college students here... especially the sports teams.

If you want quick food that hits the spot, this is the place to go.  Some of the guys behind the counter aren't too bad to look at either ;o)

At 2 a.m. how can anthing be bad?

Ok this is the spot to hit up after getting into some drinking in allston. The pizza is good and you can also get subs if your not in the pizza mood. Its crazy noisey and there are places to sit just dont expect an extremly clean table, cause people are out right filthy when eating this late, but hey its somewhere to let the spins slowely subside as the grease from the pizza slowly soaks up all the booze you thought was a good idea to drink....all in all think Little Steves without the diseases!

Now... as I frequently put my dukes up to defend T Anthony's honor many times in the past.. most of my friends and foes alike would expect me to give 5 stars... but I admit that T's is not perfect.

The Cons:
Almost every meal I have had there besides pizza is not very good.  I'm a vegetarian so I havent tried everything, but I would stay away from the pasta dishes.

I order from them a lot, and they're wierd about toppings: you can't really get more than one, they charge you more ect.  If you like to have more than one topping, this isnt the place for you.

When you eat-in, you leave without cleaning up your table, which is weird for me.

The Pros:  FRIGGIN. DELICIOUS. PIZZA.

This is really the best pizza I have ever had and yes I have been to NYC and Italy.  It is so satisfying when you're hungry.      I can eat a whole pie and want more.  The best part is the sauce, its a little bit sweet and exactly the right amount.  They deliver and stay open pretty late.  I'm probably there right now.

UPDATE:  I forgot one other thing I don't like about T's: the bathrooms.   Pretty much the worst I've ever seen.  But there  could be 99 problems about T Anthony's and I would still eat their pizza every chance I get.
