These guys sound like a pack of criminals, towing people's legally parked cars and then holding them for ransom.  Even worse, they're suing a college student for $750,000 for daring to speak out against them.

Todd H is right: they're rated an F with the BBB for unresolved complaints related to these alleged actions.  Stay away.

This company just sued a college student at Western for starting a group opposing their practices.  This does not seem fair or ethical.  The kid posted his real name, why not contact him in person and resolve this without threatening a defamation suit of 750,000 dollars.

1'd for suing a college student for $750k, and refusing to accept checks or credit cards. The grand theft auto allegations do not help its reputation either.

Joe Bird thinks he is a godfather and untouchable. We will see, says the blind man. Judging by all the support for the student you are suing for $750,000 he is not the only one to have a bad experience with your company.

If it was at all possible to give this company a rating into the negatives... I would have. The entire experience was terrible from beginning to end, and I have actually stopped going to businesses that use them. I will not go into the fact that I have serious concerns about the overall validity of the towing of my vehicle (considering that, A: it was towed out of my own apartment complex and B: The parking pass magically flew from its secured spot on my windshield to below a duffle bag in the back seat) due to the fact I do not have security cameras in my car and therefore have no evidence other then common sense as to how that happened. However what I do know for a FACT is that not only was the receptionist for the company extremely rude and unhelpful, the business was very uncooperative when it came to making a payment allowing me to get my car back. My car was towed twice from my apartment complex. Both times when I went to retrieve my vehicle they demanded cash and they also demanded exact change... they refused to make change! They would not take my check or my debit card either so I had to go to neighboring businesses to get the exact amount because I refused to tip them for towing me. When I asked the rude receptionist how my parking pass jumped into my back seat she began swearing at me, calling me names and daring me to do something about it. I thought I did do something about it by filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, however after several attempts at contacting them they never replied. After call the BBB they stated the T&J never address complaints made and they are currently rated an F. I suggest that whenever possible you avoid contact with this company. Not only are they rude and have shady business practices, they also have no intention of improving their customer service. I hope that they are put out of business soon.

They are rated "F" with the Better Business Bureau.  Many businesses are dropping contracts with T&J because of their antagonistic treatment of their patrons.
