I stumbled across Doro's Sweetiecups mini cupcakes and I absolutely fell in love with her assorted flavors. I've been a customer for years and just ordered another 2 dozen for delivery. She is so nice, talented and her cupcakes are divine!!!

Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes. As a future diabetic in training, I try to make an effort in tasting as many different cupcakes places as possible. My lovely boyfriend decided to surprise me with 2 dozen of yummy cupcakes from sweetiecups instead the traditional birthday cake for my 25th birthday party.
Doro is legit. She makes them with love and is willing to meet up with you anywhere in the city to drop off the cupcakes. Her cupcakes are LEGIT. My boyfriend originally wanted to order the red velvet but Doro was kind enough to inform him that it was organic and instead of food coloring she uses beets. So instead, he ordered the Moonlight by the Sea (chocolate cake with an almond chocolate frosting topped off with almond pieces and sea salt) and banana split (Nutella filled banana cake, iced with vanilla whipping cream frosting and chocolate shavings). I highly highly recommend both!
But yes, the cupcakes were a hit and I will definitely ordering from her again. Maybe the next time around I'll try her red velvet. Oh, and I also want to try the peach paradise (peach cake with almond cream cheese frosting, topped with almonds or peach pieces) and the schnucki cup (strawberry cake with white chocolate strawberry frosting, topped off with fresh strawberry pieces)...screw it, my fatass will probably try all of her cupcakes.
+5, worth the price and the extra time at the gym.
ps---In my opinion her cupcakes were the best cupcakes I've ever had. Better than any other cupcake places I've tried so far in the city, Sprinkles, Magnolia's, and Buttercup in NY. -

Doro is awesome.
We were looking for a fun dessert for our wedding. My wife calls Doro up. Oh, look we live right near by, so she comes over and drops off a bunch of samples she just baked! They were ridiculously tasty! Then she trucks the whole batch we pick up to Marin for a totally reasonable price! How could we not go for this kind of customer service! Look at all these exclamation points! I rarely use them!
My two favorites were:
Morning Bliss, a mocha cupcake with vanilla frosting and Schnucki cup, a strawberry cake and frosting. -

With no brick-n'-mortar store, sweetiecups made it incredibly easy to fulfill all my (& my friends') cupcake desires! Doro's response time is immediate and she clearly communicates to outline the limitations of the cupcakes. For example, I was getting a dozen but wanted more than one flavor. You can choose the one flavor you want but it depends on what other flavors she's making that day for other customers because obviously she can't make a batch of just 3 or 4 cupcakes. But all of sweetiecups flavors were excellent. Here's what I got:
*banana split: nutella-filled banana cake with vanilla frosting
*after8: chocolate cake with mint cream cheese frosting
*schnucki cup: strawberry cake with white chocolate strawberry frosting (to this day people still talk about the smell and flavor of schnucki cup...)
*moonlight by the sea: chocolate cake with almond chocolate ganache & sea salt
Call or email your order (minimum 1 dozen regular or 20 mini) at least 24 hours in advance and the price includes delivery within SF. She even prints the flavors for you in the box! Doro herself came by and delivered them in the morning so I could have them in time for the party. Thanks Doro!
Pros: Delicious, fresh, innovative flavors with organic ingredients when possible. Wow factor if you want to impress your friends. Professional and accomodating owner (w/ a cute accent!)
Cons: Price (~$35-40/dozen, but think of it as haute cuiscake). Can't just 'swing by' and pick up one cupcake when you have a craving! Need to order at least 24 hours in advance. -

Cupcake perfection! I'm the wedding person for a big, busy catering company, and this is, by far, my favorite dessert vendor. Call Doro. She's great, her cupcakes are DELISH, and she can do cool flavors, and her setup is really nice...and she was on time. Sweetiecups ROCKS!
If Yelp had a 100-star scale, I'd give her 100 stars. -

Dear Doro,
You're the best! Thank you for making those tasty mini cupcakes for my birthday (at a price..) Your presentation, professionalism and pleasant demeanor were all obvious throughout my experience. My mother balked at the pricing; okay, true, these baked goods are quite pricier than others..but quality, Mom!! at least I, the customer, was thoroughly pleased. You get what you pay for.
I ordered 20 mini cupcakes in 3 flavors: banana split, moonlight by the sea, and schnucki cup, and received 24 via home delivery from the smiling Doro. These cupcakes, albeit mini in size, are maxxx in flavor. I would eat one of each flavor and my sweet tooth was more than satisfied. I'd compare them to having three uniquely flavored, expensive truffles. Like quality bonbons, but with the cake aspect.
Thanks again, Doro. I will be contacting you again when I have the chance and the monies to splurge on your amazing cupcakery. -

First of all, Doro is definitely a sweet heart. As busy as this company can get with all these 5 star ratings, she definitely catered to my needs during my grad weekend. We both were busy but she still managed to squeeze in my order during her, what I would imagine, hectic schedule.
Doros cupcakes are definitely not your usual sprinkles or karas cupcakes.. I can tell that these cupcakes involved a lot of flavor testing because theyre not your average flavors, more for the sophisticated mouths that enjoy flavor over sweetness..
I was ready to write a whole story on these cupcakes but I'll just keep it short. I had the hawaiian pear, schnucki cup, and georgia on my mind. My order was pretty small, 30 mini cupcakes, but she gave me 36 (hook ups!!) And I clearly remember how wonderfully balanced these cupcakes were, not overly too sweet!! Now, looking back - I wish I ordered the normal sized cupcakes so I couldve enjoyed it longer!!
Definitely going to order from sweetiecups again, once I have a reason to!!
AND Doro emailed me the day after my graduation dinner saying: I hope you enjoyed your cupcakes and congrats. Talk about amazing costumer service. -

We hired Doro to bake the mini cupcakes for our wedding. Not only were they delicious and SO cute, Doro is such a pleasure to work with.
The flavors we went with:
Moonlight By The Sea, True Blood, Purple Passion (our wedding color was purple), and a specially created Pumpkin Lovers for our October wedding (and my pumpkin -obsessed husband).
All were lovely and a hit with our guests. Best part, we had TONS of cupcakes without breaking our budget!

60+ (majority of) 5 star reviews can't be wrong. Doro is awesome! She saved the day from an unresponsive vendor. It was like night and day working with Sweetiecups as opposed to our first choice.
Originally, working on a tight budget, we had checked out Doro and thought the cupcakes were a little pricey and went with another vendor. In the end, we realized she was well worth it.
After the experience with the first cupcake vendor, we decided to return to Doro after reading all the reviews on how delicious her cupcakes were and how prompt she is with service.
We made an appointment and chose some cupcakes to sample. Doro was efficient, showed up with a beautiful sample of mini-cupcakes for us to try. They were spectacular and after a lot of hemming and hawing, we made our choices and out came an estimate in less than a day.
We thought Sweetiecups was great because her choice in flavors are unique (maybe it's that German flair). On top of that, presentation is beautiful.
She had so many to choose from but we eventually decided to go with these 3 yummy types of mini-cupcakes:
- banana split (nutella filled banana cake with vanilla cream)
- midnight moonlight (chocolate cake with chocolate ganache)
- lemon all around
Doro also corresponded with us by email and phone to discuss what our wedding colors were so she could match her cupcake description cards and other decoration to the wedding. Only good vendors think of these things.
On our wedding day, after we made our grand entrance at the reception, we saw a beautiful stand and table decorated with her mini-cupcakes, candles and flower petals sitting there to greet us. It was gorgeous!
Doro, you are our hero...thank you!
Our guests also loved her cupcakes and only a day later, a few of them have been emailing me to ask for her contact. -

The cupcakes are delicious. All the other reviews here will tell you that. But, what impressed me most about Doro was how helpful and organized she was throughout the process of providing the cupcakes for my April wedding.
When we did the tasting, she delivered. The 8 or 9 flavors we were sampling were clearly labeled. She encouraged us to try a bunch too... unlike a lot of other shops that will ask you to really narrow down. Doro understands the purpose of a tasting!
Our wedding venue was kind of a pain in the butt stickler for not allowing vendors to set up very early. Not a problem at all for Doro.
I talked to her for maybe 30 seconds while she was setting up that day. But it was basically just saying hello. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that she set everything up, she made it look great, and she didn't ask for any of my or my groom's time that day. She even left us some boxes to take any extra cupcakes home after the reception. I mean, thoughtful.
Last gush - we lost the metal clip holding the flavor descriptions. I was so embarrassed when I realized that. I offered to add it to our bill. Doro told me it happens all the time and not to worry about it! Super sweet. Sweetiecups.Listed in: Wedding wows and well,…

Doro and her cupcakes are just amazing, excellent, outstanding-I cannot gush enough.
Doro made the cupcakes for our wedding last summer, and it was the best wedding-related decision I made! After reading yelp reviews, I knew I had found the vendor for our wedding, so I emailed Doro and got a prompt reply. We exchanged many emails, and she was always very thorough and on top of things-she was one of the only vendors that I knew I would not have to worry about, and I was right!
Now on to the cupcakes...mmmmm, my mouth waters just thinking about them. In our many emails, I named the cupcakes that I was most interested in trying, and I told her my husband did not have much of a sweet tooth, so she made some suggestions.
Doro delivered the mini cupcakes and they were beautiful! Each was a little work of art, and they tasted even better. Even my husband loved them. I do not think you can go wrong with ANY of the flavors because Doro truly knows her stuff. However, our favorites were: Schnucki cup (the strawberry is fantastic), mojito, Georgia on my mind (OMG, I am not a huge peach fan, but this one is to die for!), moonlight by the sea, get off my back, Chad, and banana split.
Seriously, the hardest part was narrowing it down to just a few flavors because they are all so good. Our guests raved about the cupcakes too, and the mini's let everyone try a couple different flavors, and were the perfect size for our littlest guests. Even our caterer asked for Doro's information because they were so impressed with her and her cupcakes.
I highly recommend Doro's cupcakes, you will not get better service, nor a better product, from any where else!1 Previous Review: Show all »

best cupcakes ever! One of my coworkers celebrated her birthday last week and luckily someone ordered cupcakes from Sweetiecups. The cupcakes were the BEST I've EVER had. That's a lot coming from someone who a cupcake list and is an absolute CUPCAKE fan.

Sweetiecups kicks arse! I wanted to rock out some mini-cupcakes for my holiday party this year, and my friend Linh happened to mention that she had a friend who "quit her job to make cupcakes." Right on! Power to the people! Damn "The Man!" You go, girl!
I would LOVE to "quit my job to make cupcakes," but due to my inferior baking skills and penchant for raw cake batter, that isn't an option in my foreseeable future. Therefore, I figured I would try to live vicariously through Doro and her wonderful Sweetiecups. From my first e-mail until they were delivered to my Oakland abode, Doro was an A+ class act. She even contacted me after my order had been placed to let me know that she had added some extra-special holiday flavors if I was interested in adjusting my initial requests.
I ordered the lemon and "After 8" miniature cupcakes (I unfortunately can't give an unbiased review of the chocolate-mint cakes as I am not a fan of chocolate). Cheese and crackers! I would have eaten my own arm if it was spread with her insanely delicious lemon cream cheese frosting. Suffice to say that every last cupcake and stray crumb was snatched up and devoured within moments of sweetiecups hitting the table.
I can't wait to try some of her more adventurous flavors, namely the "la vie en brie" (pear-walnut cake with brie whipped frosting) and the "purple passion" (raspberry cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting). She also boasts a mix-and-match option on her site that allows you to come up with any number of your own delicious sweetiecup creations.
It seems like cupcakes are the novelty dessert of the moment, but I think Doro's delicious, inventive treats will easily withstand falling victim to being looked at as "just a trend."
Thanks again to Doro for trekking to Oakland on a Saturday evening (which means you had to get back INTO the city on a Saturday evening) to deliver them - you're a perfect peach and I can't wait to find an excuse to order more!Listed in: Sweets.

OMG Someone brought these to a meeting I was in and they were orgasmic.
The frosting is the best part... not too sweet, but instead creamy and tart! The strawberry one was DELICIOUS and had such a lovely refreshing flavor. Mixed with the chocolate "cake" part, it was perfect! I also had the vanilla one I think? It came with a mint leaf on top.
They are so cute and mini I could eat like 10 of them. literally.

I would like to commend Doro for her customer service. I had ordered less than 24 hours before she was delivering the cupcakes to my office for a birthday. DORO YOU ROCK AND ARE SUPER SWEET AND YOU HAVE WON ME OVER!!!
But most of all, her cupcake creations are amazing and I'm a sweet tooth maniac. The use of fresh ingredients, the flavor combos, as well as the customizable mix and match options, provides anyone who is a cupcake connoisseur a myriad of options. I highly recommend the Georgia on My Mind as well as the Moonlight by the Sea. Her execution of the look of the product is also great as the minicups are just right.

How can you not support a fellow yelper who knocked everyone's socks off by winning the best "all-around" cupcake at the first ever, SF yelp cupcake cook-off?

For those that missed that monumental event, you're in luck. Because good ol' Doro P. can still make her beautiful little creations for you at a very competitive price that includes door-to-door delivery. In fact, she quit her job for it. An amazing achievement to follow a personal dream.
It was the S.O.'s birthday and I didn't want to hassle over the dessert. My budget was $60-$80 for the cupcakes alone and I wanted them to be perfect. I agonized between "Kara's Cupcakes", "That Takes the Cake", and "American Cupcake", comparing prices, drooling over the pictures. But once I reached SweetieCups and read their reviews I knew I was at the right place.
Doro was absolutely sweet to work with and delivered it to my doorstep herself. I ordered "Lemon allaround" (lemon cake w/ lemon cream cheese frosting & sliver of fresh lemon peel), "Georgia-on-my-mind" (peach cake with mascarpone peach cream, peach slice on top), and the "Schnucki Cup" (strawberry cake, white chocolate frosting, fresh strawberry piece).
I had originally worried about how I was going to present them but they were packaged so beautifully, in large white boxes with slots for each mini-cupcake, that I served them as-is. The crowd devoured them. Moist, the frosting so fluffy and delicate, and the flavors were as pure as the fruit it came from. No sneaky shortcuts with artificial extracts or flavors. My absolute favorite was the lemon.
There is no storefront yet so for now we're all stuck committing to cupcakes in mass for events. Now someone give me another excuse to throw a party. I can't wait to try more of her flavors. -

V-day, more like C-day. Sent Wendy a dozen cupcakes and boy did she love them, which in turn translated to loving me. I've never heard of cupcake delivery, but Dora's business is top notch. She was really awesome about making sure I got the flavors I wanted, and pricing included delivery.
Although a good amount of them were munched down at her office, Wendy did manage to bring me back a couple. I have to agree with what other Yelpers say, they aren't the biggest cupcakes, but they are uniquely flavored and pretty damn tasty.
I definitely support this business and really hope the best for Dora and her cupcakes. Sweetiecups, you'll be hearing from me again. -

I drove from san jose just to get these cupcakes. Right when i was a minute away from meeting Doro, a bad driver hit the back of my car. Although there was only damage to his car i was still upset but when i finally met up with her, everything was greattttttt!
If its cupcakes you need, this is the person to call. Doro is very professional and her customers always come first. I ordered a dozen cupcakes for my girlfriends birthday 2 weeks in advance. She allowed me to get 3 different flavors for the dozen. I think a lot of other cupcakes places will only offer 1 flavor per dozen. Doro is always on a good mood and happy when i talk to her which means she loves what shes doing which also means she puts alot of effort and quality into her cupcakes. She will also figure out a time to get the cupcakes to you whether you are picking them up or having her drop them off. She also added what she calls "sweetiegrams" which are little flags and notes you can stick into the cupcakes. Go here and you will not be disappointed. It's obvious by the rest of her 5 star reviews. -

I ordered 4 dozen cupcakes from Doro for my 30th birthday party, and they were a big hit. I consider myself to be a bit of a dessert snob, and these cupcakes exceeded even my expectations. I ordered a dozen each of the mojito, coco-razzy, moonlight by the sea, and ebony & ivory. I thought the moonlight by the sea was divine, but I think that the coco-razzy was the most popular flavor amongst my group of friends.
Doro was very pleasant to work with, and I would definitely order from her again. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to meet her in person because I asked her to deliver the cupcakes to a friend who lives closer to the bar where we were celebrating. -

2) professional
3) the schnucki cupcakes
i ordered the schnucki, moonlight by the sea and the midnight moonlight for 8 people to try. of the three, the schnucki was by far everyone's favorites. those were gone instantly. i still have about 10 of the chocolates left. what i also like about doro's cakes are the fact that they are not overly sweet. i would definitely order from doro again, but maybe next time, i would order the fruity flavors instead. -

I live in LA, and my best friend just moved to SF, so on her birthday I wanted to send her something nice from a local shop. I am SO glad I found SweetieCups off Yelp. Doro happens to deliver and is not too far from where my gf lives. I immediately called Doro who helped me over the phone. She was super sweet and helpful, and also very accommodating. I ended up ordering a box of mini cupcakes (20 count) for $40 including delivery. It included 2 flavors (morning bliss & schnucki cup) and she makes them fresh to order.
I love that she's very dependable (responsive to phone calls & emails) and timely in her delivery! =) I ordered on Monday morning, and she was able to delivery them Tuesday morning.
I wish I could taste the cupcakes myself, so next time I go up to SF I will be ordering more cupcakes from her for myself :P
Because the cupcakes are so cute (from how my friend described them), I think it'd be PERFECT for weddings! ::mental note:: ;) -

I am not obsessed with cupcakes but obsessed with mini-sweetiecups. The pumpkin flavor with cream cheese topping tastes like happiness. Doro (sweeticups maker) is fantastic - flexible and on time, even in the rain. I will order sweetiecups again for every occasion.

Sweetiecups is a bakery that provides catering services and sells very delicious and addicting cup cakes. I was referred to them by my cousin Doro and I decided to try them out for my dinner party.
I needed 2 dozen cup cakes in different flavors; and everything came out perfect! I am so glad I tried Sweetiecups and I can honestly recommend them to anyone. When I browsed online to find a caterer, I noticed that they received a 5 star rating - I now understand why! Their service is amazing and their food is delicious.
The presentation of the cup cakes was very delightfully done. The cup cakes looked like small versions of a wedding cake and everyone complimented me. The designs were clean and smooth, yet very interesting. They tasted so good that I regularly place an order for our offices as a treat to my co-workers.
They have such a wide variety to choose from and each one has its own unique taste, even the bread itself is different. Usually cupcakes only vary in toppings, but Sweetiecups goes one step further to vary all their ingredients. Sweetiecups' bread compliments the taste and sweetness of the toppings they use.
In my opinion they are hands down the best caterers I have ever come across. -

I'm usually too lazy to write a review unless it's something I feel strongly about, like, really really really awsome cupcake.
Doro's absolutely amazing. I decided to go with her cupcakes (rather than Costco/Trader Joe/Safeway variety) after reading yelp reviews, and absolutely no regret there.
We communicated via email/txt msg and it worked out seamlessly.
The mini cakes were on time and just - per-fect.
She was also very accomodating in throwing in some variety for such a small order.
I dread sugar-loaded cup-cracks but these are nothing like those industrial monster. These are hand-crafted pearls for your ultimate gustatory exploration, something we all deserve, THE PLEASURE WITHOUT THE GUILT!!!!
I'd encourage anyone to give Doro a shot for any kind of event - board meetings, daily meetings, minor gatherings, thank-you parties, mandatory yada-lada meetings, or just a surprise for your friends/co-workers/family. Totally WORTH IT!!!!
I forgot to take a photo of those heavenly mini cakes. They were sooo adorable. I could fit 3 on my palm and they look so... precciouss....

Doro is so sweet and talented. I was very sad that she wasn't available to do cupcakes for our wedding. She responded immediately to a very last minute request for a sampler box of mini cupcakes, and she was really on top of communication. The cupcakes looked so nice, I almost didn't want to eat them. Almost. They were all yummy, but Moonlight by the Sea was my favorite. I love the taste of sea salt with chocolate. La Vie en Brie (pear walnut cake with brie whipped cream frosting) was interesting, and one of my friends really liked it. Doro's cupcakes are very light in taste and texture, which makes them seem almost healthy... until you think about the fact that you've just scarfed down several cupcakes.

I had come across Sweetiecups while scanning Yelp for a bakery to order dessert from for my recent birthday. My boyfriend and best friend said that they would take care of the dessert so I stopped looking.
Saturday, I see the boxes-- 24 Sweetiecups cupcakes in every flavor from chocolate-raspberry to carmel-apple to pure chocolate. My boyfriend had heard of the company through a friend and the owner delivered the boxes straight to his house.
Basically, these were the best cupcakes ever. I had an embarassing amount at my birthday, but didn't even feel sick. They are made with quality ingredients and are totally worth it. They were also so cute! Just great cupcakes, all around. -

I recently called Sweetiecups for a special surprise bday delivery of 2 dozen mini cupcakes to a FiDi office. Doro was great to work with, easy to get a hold of, and super helpful with flavor choices. I also appreciated her fully functional website w/ menu, pricing, and pictures. This is a necessity when ordering cupcakes that you haven't tasted online or by phone.
I selected vanilla cake with vanilla whipped cream frosting to stand in for the bday boy's favorite buttercream. I was tempted by some of the more unique flavors but chose a dozen of the ebony and ivory (vanilla cake filled with Nutella w/ white chocolate cream cheese frosting topped by hazelnuts) for him to share with his officemates.
The cupcakes were delivered at the requested time and were a hit. My only regret is that they all got eaten before one could make it home for me to try! I will definitely order from Sweetiecups again. -

Could I have gotten some cupcakes that are better than Kara's? I believe I have! Doro is amazing! She was great with communicating via email and delivery was a breeze! The cupcakes were moist and very tasty. I Heart Sweetiecups!

Sweetiecups = 2nd love. 1st love was Zach Morris. I've had a lot of time to find love since Zach, and I've now found it with Sweetiecups.
a) The taste is phenomenal! The German flair is sooooooooooo much better than regular lame old cupcakes, which I can never touch again. The frosting is delicious and isn't overwhelming, which is appreciated since you practically have to fight Kara's frosting dollop off with a stick.
2) The service is impeccable. The Sweetiecups were excellently assembled and didn't lose their luster upon delivery. Yes, Sweetiecups delivers! They were also on time, if not a tad early, which was great since I had to arrange them for my event.
d) The assortment of flavors are unique AND original. A fine feat since they practically mean the same thing. You can mix and match flavors or choose what is already created, which I did and was a HIT. I ordered Morning Bliss, German Lover, Malibu Breeze, Razz Matazz, Hawaiian Pear, Forbidden Caramel, Ebony and Ivory, and Banana Scotch. Can't say I have a favorite since I was shovelling them into my mouth at a frantic rate.
Now if only I could get Zach Morris to come over with Sweetiecups in hand..... -

Yummy!
These cupcakes are a more sophisticated take on the cupcake trend. The cake is very moist, with a fine tender crumb, but dense in flavor almost like a muffin. All 3 of the flavors I tried were not overly sweet, with beautiful presentation and flavors that really do reflect the owners German heritage.
These are not nostalgic grainy buttercream nightmares like Magnolia or others I've had. The size is also great for adults who might not want to splurge on a big cupcake during a meeting or party but still be left satisfied.
Oooh now I want to go eat some! -

These cupcakes ROCK! They aren't your average cupcake and the flavors are extremely unique and tasty! My boyfriend sent them to me and the woman who brought them to me at work was extremely sweet and gave me instructions to keep the cupcakes fresh. Every cupcake in the assortment was amazing and I like the mini size.

moonlight by the sea: chocolate cake with almond chocolate frosting! moist cake and delish and not too sweet frosting!
schnucki cup: strawberry cake with white chocolate strawberry frosting!
forbidden caramel: apple cake with caramel cream cheese frosting.
sweetiecups has never disappointed my taste buds. i have yet to be disappointed. every cupcake i have tried/ordered here has been quite possibly the best cupcakes i have ever had. the cake is never dry, always moist. the frosting is always good, never extremely sweet or too thick. i love sweetiecups! -

The wonderful bf got a dozen of mini sweetiecups for our early vday celebration. It's the BEST cupcakes I've ever had! They are nice enough to make four flavors for us, even though they usually have a 2 flavors/dozen limit. ALL of them tastes wonderful! They are all very moist, very soft, and the frosting isn't too sweet so you can keep eating them!
Here's what I got:
1) apple cake with light caramel cream cheese frosting and pple pieces
2) strawberry cake with white chocolate strawberry frosting
3) chocolate cake with an almond chocolate frosting topped off with almond pieces and sea salt
4) chocolate cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting and fresh strawberries
