I don't know what these other people are talking about -- my wife and I love this place! There is so much variety, you can eat something different every time you go. You can choose from a few pre-prepared salads (which change every few weeks) or you can make your own. They have several great pastas, an incredible variety of soups, and the desserts -- my god, the desserts! I would go just for the desserts (as a matter of fact, we usually sneak muffins out in my wife's purse).

The only thing keeping me from giving this particular Sweet Tomatoes a 5/5 is the parking. It's atrocious. And don't even think about parking in the shopping center next to the restaurant; it's a tow-away zone.

I'm a weekly customer of this location. There is so much variety on salads, pastas and soups, you can eat something different every time you go. You can choose from a few prepared salads or you can make your own. The best chicken noodle soup! I agree that the only problem with this location is the parking lot. Their East Orlando, I-Drive and Disney locations don't have parking problems.

I've only gone to the Sweet Tomatoes location in Altamonte Springs, and I've liked it everytime I've gone there. We usually go during the busy times, even though we know there will be long lines. This is usually Saturday lunch & dinner, and Sunday lunch. Due to the volume of people, I believe that their food items are fresher. They have to keep tossing the pre-tossed salads, they have to keep making the pastas, they have to keep baking more breads and muffins, and stirring more soups.

Therefore, the times that I have gone, all the food have been delicious. I especially love the muffins. The tops are so huge sometimes and they've usually been fresh off the oven so they literally melt in your mouth. Their cornbread is also really good when it's fresh off the oven and you know this is not some lousy cornbread because they actually have corn chunks in them.

My friends love their soups, but I usually stay away from them because I don't want to fill my stomach with liquids when I can fill them with solid food instead. Their pastas are okay, not the greatest. And my favorite salad is the Won Ton Chicken Happiness.

The one qualm I have is the fact that they don't have rainbow sprinkles for their ice cream. What's up with that? I just think they look better, you know what I mean?

Bad Food and even though its an all u can eat buffet is way over priced. Employees are OK but not exactly friendly enough.

Food Quality- (out of 5 stars) 1

Their main attraction is presumably the salad...but...the salad is some of the worst you'll ever have. I'm sorry, I'm usually not so harsh when reviewing restaurants but you really have to be an uncultured by-product of many generations of inbreeding to like the salad here.  The place is called "Sweet Tomatoes" and they actually have literally the worst tomatoes I've ever tried there.  People are enthralled by the idea of the all-you-can-eat buffet, but this is a buffet you need to stay far away from. Everything there is tasteless.  The only good product I've ever had is the Canadian Cheddar Soup.  But they 86ed that to extinction.  You pay way too much money to get that crap.  I hate buffets, but sweet tomatoes is probably the worst buffet I've ever been to--fooling morons for over a decade into thinking it's healthy when the salad is clearly not fresh at all and refrigerated for days and all the pastas, breads, and desserts fill you with simple carbs and in excess quantities.  Don't get me wrong, I love salads, fruits, and that sort of thing, but I can't imagine a place like this surviving in a city of more intellectuals with cultured tastes.

Even go to a simple Ruby Tuesday's, try the salad bar, and if you can't realize how much better that salad is from Sweet Tomatoes, then I can't help you.  The bleu cheese at Ruby Tuesday's is far superior, the tomatoes are fresh and have subtance, and Sweet Tomatoes is the opposite.  I just came up with Ruby Tuesday's off the top of my head but the point is there are many far better salad bars for prices that aren't highway robbery.
