Swede's Feeds is a down-home, old fashioned feed and seed store with unpretentious charm and stand-out utilitarianism. The owners of Swede's stock a wide variety of merchandise with the potential of creating the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people and all creatures great and small.
Have you ever wanted to re-create Jurassic Park or Old MacDonald's Farm in your own back yard garden? Do you love dinosaurs and all things scarey? Swede's Feeds has 10' metal dinosaur statuary, raging stallions, small chickens, goats, bison, cows, sheep ... the inventory seems endless. Just when I think I've seen them all, I turn the corner to come face to face with an 8' rooster!
Feed for pot bellied pigs, hamsters, rabbits, cats, rats, dogs, chickens, pigeons, doves, finch and all other various winged creatures lines the shelves of their mercantile section.
If you want baubles and bubbling fountains for your garden, Swede's has them in every imaginable shape, size and price range.
Even if you don't think you "need" any particular item that Swede's might stock, you owe it to yourself to take a field trip and visit. I guarantee that you'll walk away with some momento of your visit.
This is a little oasis where for a moment, you can forget the recession, the jobless rate and other pressing issues of national and local concern. Stop at a local java hut, order a coffee to go, drive to Swede's and take a stroll through their jungle. You'll love it.
This place RULES.
First off, it carries all the supplies you need for yard maintenance and gardening.
Second, it carries food for cats, dogs, birds, whatever.
Third, it's not unusual to see random chickens and kitties wandering around. They live there and add an extra "feed store" ambiance.
Finally, the statues/sculptures in front are amazing. Love it.
It's not like a store; it's more like an experience.

"Everything under the sun" is their motto. Lots of wild bird backyard feeders & gourmet seed mixes that will have the pretty songbirds flocking to your place.
Also carry gourmet dog, cat, rabbitt food.
Of course there's garden tools, nursery plants, fencing, garden fountains, & a big selection of ceramic & metal garden art sculptures that you will not find anywhere else.
Nice people, fair prices.
