White Trash River Love! 1st visit: biker funeral, 2nd visit:  lynyrd skynyrd tribute band...doesn't get much better. Has become our Saturday lunch ritual after my daughter's soccer games. Really good tacos and friendly service!

Swabbies is a slice of what's best about living in the river city. A 4th of July celebration with friends, and a sweet delta breeze made the outside area under the trees nearly perfect at Swabbies. We love this place!

Excellent beer selection on tap. We ordered a pitcher of the Summer Sammy Lager. Good suds. We shared a pitcher and enjoyed the live music by 4 Barrels. They played a lot of great cover tunes. Lots of dancing along the Sacramento river. We ordered another round while deciding which killer Swabbies tacos to order. The tacos are freaking awesome. I actually ordered three tacos so I had my wife help me finish off the third one. The service is always great at Swabbies. Friendly, attentive, attractive. Our server had gigantic american breasts. They were hard not to notice. Big tits means big tips. She was sporting the red, white and blue, too. USA! USA! USA!

You can also wander on down to the river where the boats are docked. It's really nice along the river at Swabbies on a hot 4th of July.

I just moved onto the Garden Highway over the weekend, into the house that my hubbie and I plan to occupy until we are carried cold and stiff from the place. The River is like that: you live on it, you never want to leave.

So anyway, we were invited to a graduation celebration for a friend on Saturday, at Swabbie's in the afternoon. It seems you can have events there, even with a band, as long as you schedule it prior to their regular showtimes and you don't mind non-guests also hanging out, ordering food, enjoying "your" band. Hey, the lawn is big and there's room for everyone (as others' reviews make clear).

Tacos and beer were provided by the proud graduate.

Tacos and beer rocked.

After spending 24 hours mvoing and unpacking boxes, serious sustenance was needed, with no complexity and no thinking. Swabbie's pulls off this stunt admirably.

We went back the next evening for dinner. Cheeseburger in Paradise was not bad at all. My tastes must vary distinclty from Ubersheist's because I loved the crispy fries, and my burger was very acceptable.

Tip: if you go, don't order drinks inside and then take a seat and wait for your server; a server seeing you with drinks will assume some other server has you under control and you will be ignored. But once you do connect with your server, you'll find (usually her) friendly, hard-working, and likely extravagantly tattooed.

Now my hubby and I have no reason to leave the River: if we can't cook at home, we'll be at Swabbie's.

See you there.

Way out on Garden highway. Building looks like a bunch of termites holding hands. Always Harley's in the parking lot. Not a high class, place. But they're not trying to be. Good place to get a beer. Great selection on tap. The food is o.k. don't go here for a great meal. But the Appetizers are decent with a drink. Haven't had the tacos. They claim the best Tacos on the river. Don't know about that, but people seem to enjoy themselves. Saturday or Sunday afternoon seem like the time to be here. They have bands play every weekend. I might check out one of the shows soon.
