I know this may sound crazy to people from some parts of Milwaukee, but I have trouble finding a cafe that I enjoy sitting in that offers free wifi. I love Anodyne on KK, but I don't want to pay to use their internet. I love Alterra coffee, but the Foundry location has cruddy service (sometimes) and also charges for internet use.
It's too nice day to be indoors, but I'm loving the earthy, cozy ambience of Sven's right now. Great coffee, friendly service, eclectic decor and a convenient location. Reminiscent of one of my favorite coffee houses from my days as a student in Madison. I'll be back for sure.
Sven's has excellent coffee and good breakfast sandwiches. The portions are hearty and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is eclectic and chill - it would be very much at home on the east side of Milwaukee.
They have wifi and 3 computers with flatscreens available for use. I don't know if the wifi is still free or what is the charge for the computers.
Good array of sandwiches but I wish they would offer a plan roast beef/ cheddar sandwich or build your own (I tried a tuna melt which was alright). Cool homey European interior and yummy cakes with butter cream frosting.
