I got married in August of 2007 and Suzanne was my make up artist. She is amazingly talented, patient, artistic, and professional. I am VERY picky and wanted my wedding day look to be PERFECT (Brides, you know what I mean!) I had trials with four professional make up artists before choosing Suzanne. If you've done your research, you probably know each trial session costs about $100, but I was willing to spurlge to find the perfect makeup artist.
Suzanne has been a makeup artist for over ten years and I found her through a wedding I attended. She made the bride look like a real Cinderella, I mean gorgeous - I HAD to know who did her makeup and found out it was Suzanne.
What made Suzanne stand out from the other makeup artists was her knowledge of knowing how to apply photography makeup, which is completely unlike everyday or evening makeup. She also is great at mixing colors and listening to your input. Her willingness to be helpful and nurturing at a stressful time like a wedding was an added bonus! She always made me feel like my concerns were heard and I had lots of opinions about my makeup!
Suzanne's pricing is pricing for those who are willing to hire and pay for a real, professional makeup artist. Not one in training, not one without much experience. She is the REAL DEAL. I can't imagine any bride not being willing to spend a good amount on someone who will be one of the MOST IMPORTANT people in helping you look and feel your best on your wedding day. I thought her pricing was very fair and well worth it!!
Suzanne did my makeup for my engagement party, and it was truly fabulous. I've had my makeup done a few times before, and although it was always nice, Suzanne was definitely the best. She showed me many pretty pictures of more natural looks she'd done, but I wanted something more dramatic - dramatic enough to be noticed and really do something for me, but that still looked like me. I wanted people to say, "Wow, she looks prettier than usual," not, "Wow, that's a lot of makeup." And Suzanne nailed it. She also did a different sort of look for my sister - more natural, different coloring - and my sister looked absolutely gorgeous. It also stayed on and looking fresh in the heat of wine country until long past the event.
She was also so nice and professional. She seemed to really care about her work and took time to try a number of different colors and looks on me, so that I wouldn't wonder what else could have been or how anything else would have looked. If you are looking for a makeup artist, definitely go with Suzanne! She is the best!
