The pizza was average at best. Very, very cheesy, and not necessarily in a good way. Very basic, nothing fancy. There's definitely better to be had within the USE. It's the type of pizza you can get anywhere.
One of the best slices on the UES. Classic "NYC style" pies. Just make sure you get a fresh slice. Don't get the slices with toppings sitting out for who knows how long by the door.... if you want a topping, just ask for it on a cheese slice.

First taste of NY pizza was right here at Sutton Pizzeria. My friends and I were running around NY on our very first night when it started to POUR rain ): We found shelter here.. Oh yeh and some really good pizza too haha.
I ordered my usual Pepperoni pizza. The slices were huge and there was pepperoni in every bite! mmmmm.. It wasn't greasy and the sauce was very good. We also saw a person from Lipstick jungle buy his pizza fix at Sutton! Anyways, The food was amazing here. They deliver till like 3am and believe me, we took advantage of that!!
In the week we stayed in NY we probably tried everything on the menu, even the gyro! haha. Overall good pizza place. I miss Sutton ): and I miss NY...
Absolutely awesome. Try the Gyro if you're hungry, they pack on the meat. Also the sicilian slices are out of this world!!!
Great tasting pizza. This is probably one of the best, if not the best pizza places that one can find on the upper east side. The slices are large, always warm, and tasty. I have never had a bad experience here. One person I know loved this place so much she would get a whole pie and drive down to Maryland with it just because both she and her friends craved it so much.
If you wanted to sit and eat they have a dining area. Everyone that works there seems nice. Overall a good experience.
I would definitely say this is in the top 5 pizza places in Manhattan.
Went to new york for vacation last weekend. We stayed at the bentley hotel which is on 62 and york. the first thing i wanted to do was go eat pizza even though it was pouring rain that thursday we flew in. me and my gf walked around a couple of blocks and im so glad our first stop was sutton pizza. the owner was very nice and got our order in really quick. man oh man, i love new york pizza!!! i loved the convenience of the place and how it delivered to our hotel room. I'd go with the classic cheese pizza or the Sicilian. Man i miss new york already!!!
Best pizza on the UES!! Amazing staff and the pizza is true New York style. Always fresh, crispy crust and top quality sauce/cheese
Pleasantly surprised by the slices here - it's across from my apartment and I never got around to trying it until tonight. Looks like any other pizza joint and I assumed the pizza would be simply decent, but it was pretty damn good. I'll definitely hit that up when I just feel like a slice instead of getting John's from a block away, where you have to pay $15 for a small pizza.
The best pizza I've found in the neighborhood. Great spot to grab a slice anytime day or late night and they are really funny and nice! Really very good!
